hahaha...I love that you dumped the donuts...LOL...!!! it's funny cause when I dump stuff that's REAL tempting to eat away...I try and WET the food....heheh...just to make sure...that NO TEMPTATIONS to run back into the trash..(when the food is in a bag or box while being thrown away)...ELIMINATE TEMPTATIONS right...?!! ...cause i know I've done it....i wonder how many other s have too!?!?!? LOL!!!

That is HILARIOUS Alta!!! I would have never pegged you as a garbage picker!!! JK!!!!!!!!! :D That's kinda like my oldest son licking all the M&M's in the candy dish to keep his little brother away from them!!! Too FUNNY!!!

Nothing like throwing food out to remove temptation. Next time you can have a bit more fun with it though...like jump on the box first and smack talk the donuts then throw them away all smashed and defeated :D Ok so I have weird ways of conquering my food temptations :X

No torture yesterday. It finally snowed some, so we went sledding and then fun family night.

Great job on throwing out those doughnuts:)Im with your co-worker, I have favs and only a few I will eat...I can look at them and say nah, eeewww, some of the benefits of being super picky:D

I spent pretty much all my spare time last month walking hte kids over to the school and sledding, it is alot of fun and it is a work out walking in the snow and going up and down the hills non stop:)

Was it a steep hill?? How many times did you climb it? Or were you like the huskies, and pulling the fam around? See, there's a workout in there somewhere! :D Family fun days are definately a MUST DO!

The hill was a little one, and the kids did most of their own pulling. No workout for me, but lots of smiles. It was great. It was the first snow that stuck for any length of time, so I'm happy. Unfortunately, my son's favorite toy fell out of his pocket and we didn't know till it was bed time. So out to the hill I went with a flashlight and I can't believe I found it. (Dad's the best for now :) )

Today I hit the gym hard. Not big weights, but I did a boat load, so I'm feeling good. Good and tired. I ended it with a short stint on a precore, but it was just awkward. My HR got up to 170, so it was working, but I didn't do too much because I had to get some errands done before school let out.

I think dinner tonight is going to be pizza, but not for me. I have some soup that I'll heat up for myself. It's really good soup, ham and white bean with kale, that I made the other day, but nothing when compared to pizza. :(
 
I read on here how you tossed the doughnuts. Good job. Heres one I did today..I cooked some sausage and biscuits for my kids for breakfast and I didnt eat any!! You just don't know what a new concept that is for a country boy like me to leave sausage alone!
 
Brawny, I hear you on that. Not only do I hate to pass up good food, I hate seeing it go to waste. The kids don't eat it, isn't it a waste of money to throw it away? Now I try to look at it as "paying" to not gain weight.

Wow. You turned down DONUTS?! Wow. I am in shock. Donuts are probably my biggest weakness. MAJOR kudos to you. Damn, crazy will power.

Anddd you turned down pizza?! Man you and JZ are crazy dedicated :p

Great job on the running :) 7 1/2 miles is very impressive. Here I am beyond dead at 6. :x

Every healthy ecision makes it a little easier to make the next one and before you know it...you have a healthy habit...Dang I dropped my doritos....Just kiddin Good job
 
Well, my weight today is 202, which is up 2.2 pounds from last Monday. Am I concerned? Only a little. This morning was my last midnight shift (I took off tomorrow morning which should have been my last) which always causes me to gain. Food these last five days was spot on. Exercise, very good. Why do I gain? I have no idea. I'm sure it has something to do with low energy, less sleep, low metabolism, or whatever, but whatever it is, I can't seem to avoid it.

The plus side is I usually drop big time the week after, so we'll see what this week brings. :cheers2:

Tonight, though, I'm going to a birthday party for a friend. I'm supposed to bring my crab dip, but I think I will have little trouble avoiding it. The party starts at 8, I'll be driving, so no drinking till I get home, and we'll probably have something to eat before, so with some luck I'll keep to task food wise.

Today, to prep for it, I went to the gym and actually ran on the dreadmill. I hate that thing, but the temp was zero this morning, so I'm not going out.
 
haha! The dreadmill, lol. love it. Yeah, I'm not a runner- but when i try to run on a treadmill I feel awkward and clunky like. You are friggin hysterical! I can't believe I've never been in here before :rolleyes: Have fun at the birthday party tonight :)
