Trops Diary

You ran 10.5 miles in 21 degree weather? Holy Crap! Course I have asthma so I can't exercise in the cold at all without having to grab an inhaler but wow...that still had to be difficult.

Hell, after last week I need to do this a couple more times this week. :svengo: I'll probably go with jumping rope, though. :jump:

Yes, let's see how many calories you supposedly burned: for a 200 lb person at that pace for that long, between 1580 and 1800 calories.

Are you having a big dinner tonight? :D

I had a 16 oz greek yogurt with reduced sugar preserves. I think that's it for the night.

I brought the stuff to make my vegitarian chili, but I'm not up for it now. I'll do that tomorrow.

Knees are fine, it's the ankles that are bothering me. Right now I"m doing swirls with them just to keep them moving a bit.

10.5 miles?! Man!!!!! Between your Forrest Gump impression and JZ bench pressing small vehicles you guys are making me look bad! Nice work, Trops. That's friggin' sweet. I've decided to do a marathon. Not sure if it'll be this year, but definitely next.

I've got a LONG way to go! But right on for you, man.

I keep going back and forth with the idea of a marathon. On the one hand, there are plenty of guys my age and weight that do it. On the other hand, that's 2.5 times what I ran yesterday. We'll see. I do think that longer distances are in my future, though.

The chili is all ready. It's on the stove top slowly percolating away. You'd love it. Lots of onion and garlic. Three kinds of beans plus sweet corn. (all organic) Lots of chili powder, but not so much heat. Y...U...M!!! :drool5:

I'm starved right now, but I think I'm going to wait a bit longer so that I'm good for the night.

Of course I made enough to last me the whole weekend. I'm going to have to eat something besides beans, though, or my wife will kill me. :smilielol5:

I LOVE chili with lots of onion and garlic, but it's definitely best shared with your loved one(s) ;)

Have you tried putting in serrano peppers? It's delicious!
