Afternoon everyone,

I have really just been relaxing since i got back...but here in a bout 30, im heading out to go run for 30 and possibly do some hills. Its a warm 76 degrees here and it feels great so i figured a nice run couldnt hurt me. No lifting today, but im sore as hell in my arms, so i need a day off anyways.

I will update some more later on my relaxing weekend, yet again!

Trevor

I would post my wonderful day for everyone to read, but im way too drained and tired from today! SO first thing tomorrow, i will update

Sweet dreams!

Morning Everyone,

Well, where to begin? Overall this weekend has been great....Yesterday i had a great workout with a good friend of mine, plus i saw some friends i hadn't seen in a while. I also ran a mile and half and did some stairs which felt good, and wasn't too hard of a workout. The weather here has been great (ranging from 70-80 degrees), I just love the sun, i mean i have to, I live in Texas :).

Today for breakfast i had my usually protein shake and oatmeal.Yum, i am know obsessed with plain oatmeal, its so good! I weigh in around 150 and my lifts are getting stronger, as of last night my bench max went up another 5 pounds! I'm sure my strength are just newbie gains, and that i cant expect to get stronger every time i workout, so im not getting ahead of myself.

I'm actually staying in Austin until tomorrow morning..and then heading back in time to catch my Monday classes that start at noon. I'm just focusing on Physics right now, and then an afternoon workout is in store followed by my moms great cooking!

I hope everyone has a great Sunday!
Trevor

Hi Trevor, Im new around here and found your journal...just wanted to say congrats on your amazing progress and dedication to living a healthy life.

Hi Trev, honey. Send some of that Texas heat and sunshine my way, please. :D Well, we've got the sunshine, but it's still pretty cold here. :)

I hear ya about back roads being great. We have a lot of them around here, too, and I enjoy driving down them on a nice, sunny day.

I'm glad you're enjoying your weekend at home, and having great workouts as well. :hurray:

Hey Kimberly! Thanks for stopping by and saying hi!!!!

If i could send some Texas heat, i definitely would! This is probably one of the only places in the US where you can be in shorts all day and then in a jacket at night...

I just got back from a soccer game and i was freezing! it was a chilly 45 degrees out and windy!!! brrrrrrrr

After several weeks of eating in a caloric surplus, i have thought it over and im still not comfortable with my body fat...so i have decided to cut just a bit more off before seriously putting on some pounds of good muscle! I know some may not agree, but the number one thing i have to be happy with is the way i look before i go and start gaining weight again. Tomorrow i return to an 1800/day caloric deficit, upping cardio and weights, and eating slightly more protein with a bit less carbs! I also realized my bulk wasn't as clean as i thought, and i was putting weight on faster than ever!

Honestly Trev, this was me in September. I decided I wanted to push myself just a little more, for that impending burst of self-esteem. It's five months later and I've still not completely gotten there, but I will eventually. Day by day I'm working towards being happy with myself and the way I look. It's so very, very hard on some days and quite easy on others. It's an emotional roller-coaster of both self denial and acceptance. And you know what? I hate it with a passion.

If you trust this new plan will work for you, run with it and do so with passion. No matter what, you have got to be absolutely dedicated and determined, both of which I know you definately are, so I have the utmost faith you'll be gaining more confidence in yourself here in no time. I'm def. rooting for ya'!

no aim tonight?? I'm on!

Morning Everyone,

As you all know, today is the first day im back on my caloric deficit of 1800 cals!!! I weighed in this morning at 153.5( i add 3 pounds because my scale is off by that much). Every Monday for the nest 10 weeks, I will weigh myself to catch my progress. But its not so much that I care what i weigh. Every Tuesday I will also take pictures to watch for any changes in my overall body..because i will still be lifting heavy and eating a sensible amount of protein, so hopefully i can keep the muscle i have, while burning the fat around my stomach!

This morning for breakfast i had:

1 serving of Oatmeal: 150 cals
I scoop whey protein: 130 cals
2 fish oil pills: 30 cals

total: 310 cals

I have cut non fat milk out of my whey shakes to lower calories....the shakes tastes decent with water, but it will take some getting used too without it.

Here in a bout 20 minutes, I'm hitting the gym for my chest/arms/abs workout and a short 20 minute run. I would run longer, but Im very busy today with school and work..and i must plan out what im eating on the go, as i have no time in between class and work to come home and eat.

I will update later!

Have a great morning Everyone!
Trevor

sounds like your approach is healthy...you have to play with the numbers to find what works without starving yourself. good luck!

Trev hon, you already know I'm 100% supportive of your new 1800 cal a day plan.

Let me tell you something though, it would drive me crazy to weigh myself everyday. As a woman, the emotional teter-toter of increasing and decreasing digits every-other-day, would drive me up a wall of frustration. As it is, I really only weigh myself about once a week, if I so dare. LOL.

I'm glad you have the bravery to deal with it, Trev. I could never...haha.

Good luck with your workout! And don't work your brain to hard today, if that's possible.

Have a happy Monday, hon!

I hope you have a great Monday as well....

First class is over with and now i ran home to eat some lunch...yum! I was starving and decided there was no way i could make it through another class and two hours of work before eating so for the day after lunch i stand at 1100 cals....

I got 700 left for the day which i plan to use for most of dinner, and maybe a small healthy snack!

My workout was good and i ran for 20 minutes, which is a great start considering i hate running!

I plan on running at least 5 days a week by week 5, which will be incorporated into my pre existing lifting routine.

Wow, sounds like you have everything so under control. Many Kudos to you for having plans in place and doing things in a safer way.

Good Luck on that running and have a great afternoon.

Tasha

I'm not sure what running level you are at, but I've started up a Couch to 5K club and we'd love to have you! =) Hope to see you there! :seeya:

You've just described Michigan about 4 months out of the year--especially if you are near one of the Great Lakes. :D

Ha! I can't stand NOT to weigh myself everyday..lol I gained 5lbs over two days last week. Did I freak out? Oh, no, I'm used to the fluctuations, and I know the scale will look better in a few days.

I am surprised that you feel you need to lose more weight. 153lbs is not that much for someone of your height. My H is also 5' 10" and medium framed, and he looks good at 160-165--and he's not at all a muscle-y beefcake..lol. I think adding muscle and doing ab work to tone your stomach area would be all you need to do. Have you talked to Steve about this?
