Tomble's Weight Loss Journal! I welcome your opinions!

Isn't it mindboggling!

I haven't been at this weight since March 1990 when I met my husband and I'm 33 pounds lighter then the day we got married!

Yes, onwards to success!

It sure is! That's amazing, how wonderful to be going against a general trend of weight gain that is out there!

I do wonder, though, what will happen when I reach my goal. I've always worried about my weight, felt like I needed to do something about it. Once I'm at my goal, and maintaining my weight (shouldn't be hard I think, I actually get to eat MORE than I do now) I will probably feel like something is missing which has been with me forever.

Perhaps most of that will be my shame of being overweight and constant frustration with myself.

What I do know though, is that I can't wait to get there!

I hear ya - those thoughts have crossed my mind. My husband even asks that question...

What will I do when I reach my goal? Keep doing what I'm doing - staying FIT!

I'm never going to get fat again!

I was mistaken! My low weight was in early 2005, not early 2004! Even seeing concrete proof of the fact (a journal I kept at the time) it seems like more than a year ago. Wow. I can't believe I put all that weight back on in a year. The very fact of it is somewhat horrifying.

I know what you mean man.... When I was working two jobs, one at a barbecue resturant...even though I was working in the hot kitchen next to a smoker... I GAINED weight..then...when we moved to S.C... I ended up gaining MORE weight... I think I may have gotten heavier than 255... It's not my proudest moment...but yeah... the rate that the weight came back on... not a pretty thought

Hey Tomble.....thought I would swing by and say hi! Your progress is amazing!!!! Keep it up :D You're doing fabulous!!!

We're trying to scrape some money together so that we can get a treadmill so that I can walk whenever. Hard to drag a 2 & 3 year old out for a walk and it actually be a walk, not a really slow stroll!

Keep it up :D:D:D:D

Yeah, keeping up a good pace walking is important. I have enough trouble with my dog, who wants to stop and sniff everything. With a child I would actually want to stop with them and show them stuff. You should try getting one of those dancing games and a dance mat, I have one for the PS2 and it really makes me sweat. The one I have actually has a workout setting, and I end up soaked!

Whats up man! How ya doin? Did yourself Fitness work? Hope it does... it's a rad program. I just got off of gazelle for 50 minutes... 500 calories burned! WOOHOO... now watching the biggest loser and about to eat dinner... my calorie intake was lower than I expected. Today... I'm only at 900 calories today... that's without dinner... my dinner is on its way... Hope you had a good day man!

Tomble,
Hello friend. How are things in your world?
17 days into the game myself, and still trying to kick some butt.
Still haven't cheated once, so that is good.
Your progress continues to inspire others like me.
Keep it up!

Well, I managed to get that Yourself! Fitness program for the PC! It's great so far, I've barely scratched the surface of it. My main problem is I have a lack of space in my study. Perhaps I need to rearrange the furniture a little.

No real surprises in the evaluation it runs you through, except for the fact that my resting heart came out at 58BPM! Lots of lower body strength from all my walking, not bad on the crunches but I did pretty badly on the pushups.

I only did one workout, which was a 15minute flexibility workout. I want to become more limber, and it was pretty good. On the weekend I will start with the more serious workouts. I have to catch up with SaturdaySaint - I've been doing no exercise other than walking (which is good, but doesn't really do anything for my upper body or mid body).

I started doing the warmups - jumping jacks as part of it - and my dog got all happy and started jumping on me. Then when I lay on the floor to do some curl things she came and lay against me. It was so funny that I didn't have the heart to put her outside my study.

Heya Ryan, you must be very pleased with what you've achieved! You're inspiring me in return, I admire your willpower a great deal.

Hey havent been by in a bit, thought i would drop by and see how you are doing...looking good as usual...

Hello! Thanks for dropping by. I haven't had a lot of time to post on here, everything is going crazy as we near the end of 2006 :)

Hi! looks like your doing good over here :) I jope you have a great day!

Hiya! I'll drop by and say hi in your diary soon, stuck at work at the moment!!!

You're doing really good Tomble! I very jealous of your ability to walk 105km in 14 days. I mean, I could do it, but I'm not doing it and so you get my props for it. You seem to have a good routine going and I'm sure if you keep this up you'll reach your goal in no time.

Hey Man! Hope your girl has a happy birthday! Have some some BBQ for me! Don't eat TOOOOO much... I'm glad I have a buddy who's doing YF! as well! I'm beat... and it's only 9:30.... going to bed man. Just make sure that you let me know what exercise Maya has you do! Can't wait for you to do the core fitness... you'll be doubled over! Great Fun! Night!

Hiya! Had a great night, however I ate so much I think I will burst. Lots of food left over, and I've made the conscious decision that I'm going to let myself eat too much today. Some sugary stuff, some fatty foods, that sort of thing. To compensate for this, I will be walking a LOT more during the week and also doing workouts nightly . Woo! I will also be taking it easy on Christmas day :)

I personally think it's better to get all your calories in one big hit than to spread it out over weeks. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it :)

I agree with you on this one...I find if I spread it out, then it's way too easy to keep upping the amount of calories I'm getting.

Have a great Saturday Tomble!
