Tob's Journal II

Well Rainy, I have been battling this for years... the running in the cold problem. Last year or the year prior I can't recall just now but anyhow I started walking in the winter months a couple miles a day as you can see from past blogs. This years its running lets just hope I can keep pace!

Been doing the wii fit with my wife... its something nice to do when I can't run but i would rather run out side.

I just tried the wii fit for the first time last weekend... I was kinda neat but yeah I'd rather get outside. Good job on the run... sorry to hear ya got so sore

2/25/11

ran 4.07 miles in 50 minuets.

first time running 4 miles. I did it without stopping haha woot!

Wow, running kicking into high gear! A 4 mile session non stop :hurray:

Fantastic progress on the running. At this pace it's only a matter of time until you'll be planning your first marathon.

Wow good job on the run! I haven't got to 4mile nonstop yet, but feeling pretty good about being able to run more and more without stopping. Very awesome! You should feel great about that.

Thanks! I didnt run today, My back is a little sore from work so I'm thinking im going to rest and try to run another 4 miles on saturday.

I am I just haven't been posting them on here. about 2 miles every run. thanks for checking in, how are you doing?

Good to hear you're still getting those runs in. I started running more a few weeks back, did a 5k race on St Paddy's day and have done a few more 3-4 mile runs. Preparing for a 10k race and a 5k spartan race over the next couple months.

Anyone silly enough to run falls into the winning category in my books. Sometimes it feels like self inflicted torture to me but the spring weather is definitely helping.

I've been enjoying the podrunner podcasts while I run to help me keep a steady pace. Took a while to find a BPM pace that didn't leave me breathless after 10 minutes but seem to have settled into 155 BPM on the longer runs now.

Nice, Im actually hating spring, I miss my 30* runs... to be honest haha. Im hoping to do a 5k in two months. I run on hills and my runs are usually about 2.2-2.5 miles... so im hoping this weekend to get to the track at the local school and try my 5k run on flat ground... the place where I will be doing the 5k will be flat.
