Tob's Journal II

Looks good for meals. Good mix of carb/fiber/protein. Assuming you didn't eat bucket loads of each meal the calorie content should be in a good range as well.

Eat well, scale back portions to account for reduced exercise and get plenty of rest and you can hit the trails hard again once you've recovered.

Thanks, no portions are not huge and this was one of thoes times where I really didnt know my calorie count I try to eat things that I know the calories. Thanks for the support!

I find my biggest issue with calorie counting is personal laziness. If I make a dish like a stir fry with 8 healthy ingredients + spices which gets spread out over 4-6 small meals then the effort that would be required to figure out avg calorie count is higher than I'm willing to invest right now.

The alternative for me would be to eat things I know an exact calorie count for which usually comes from the side of a box of processed food with high sodium content. At some point (possibly soon) I'll be forced to ditch the laziness and start measuring and calculating calorie counts.

Hope you're kickin' that cold and feeling gooder today.

Thank you I am not and today isnt helping :/ Started the day good with a cup of juice I made from an apple, two pears and one and a half carrots. Then today at Lunch my Boss got everyone take out food for everyone. I ended up getting a General tso lunch special :( now i feel like shit on top of being sick haha... I can't wait to run again.

You did good, but you could have had jello with fruit minus the cake, but you did good! Don't hurt once and a while, but don't make it a habit, lol.

Hey Tob,

Don't worry about slip up. Happens to all of us. Keep running though that is the key!! I haven't been around here as much as I was but I still pop around to check up on people-lol. I finished my 1/2 marathon last August and am training for a full marathon this Summer. I can't believe how far I have come - from 320 pounds to 175 and running a marathon. Sometimes I don't know myself-LOL. Keep up the good work- you CAN do this.

Breakfast: Banana & cliff bar

Snack: Greek Yogurt

Lunch: 6 Inch turkey sub bad of lays baked S&O chips

snack:string cheese and 6 triskets & a hard boiled egg

Dinner: Turkey sandwich, two spring rolls ( frozen kind I microwaved them )

Meal routine looks pretty reasonable and tasty.

Depending on a few selections the calorie range could span quite a distance and assume that the healthy variety of each was taken.

- no big surprises in terms of loading up the turkey sub with a pound of bacon and a bottle of mayo, excessive cheese.

- there can be a big difference between the deep fried spring rolls ones and the fresh ones that haven't been fried/frozen and reheated.

- also know from picking up the wrong one for my wife a couple weeks back that there's also a big variety in fat and calorie content between regular greek yogurt and the fat free variety.

Thanks, My turkey subs are always the same... 4 slices of turkey, 2 slices swiss cheese, spinnich, pickles, onions, jalapenos and one line on spicy brown mustard.

I know and I only ate spring rolls because my wife got them for me because she knows I love em and they were made at the store my wife got them and made to be recooked they are really fragile though and I eat regular greek yogurt not fat free just because If im only eating that for lunch damnit I want it to be good haha.

Ran 1.01 miles on the treadmill... I hate that thing it makes my left tendon in my ankle hurt like hell. Also I was stoked to see the scale read 190.8 this morning haha 180 HERE I COME!

Hey, Tob. Yeah I have a diary it is called Cowboy's Diary-lol. Not very original , I know. I kind of did things differently. I didn't join this forum until I was just about done my weight loss journey. I kind of used my diary as a running diary as I started it just as I was getting into running. Seeing as how you are running now you might find it interesting.

2.5 miles

Wow, SO Happy and Pissed right now... Okay so First the happy... I ran 2.5 miles without stopping in 28:30. Yeah, first time I ever ran the big loop without stopping... I'm so pumped... And as you all know I always use runtastic app for droid... well it needed an update and so It only tracked my time, I had to take the car to get the miles :(

Wow....1 Coconut Chocolate Chip Clif bar would cost me 4 point, for 4 more points I can have a whole 6inch sub, lol

Hey Tob thanks for the challenges... to say hi on some diaries, here I am getting back into things... haven't been on here much or keeping a diary for awhile so I'm gonna try again.. You are pretty close to your goal weight and doing great on the running that is awesome. Man running in the cold is soooo hard for me I can't see how you can do it, but yes a treadmill totally sucks I agree with that. I thought is was annoyingly cold here but you got it colder. Here in Washington is 39* with some rain and I feel a bit sorry for myself... but I have to admit its not bad at all once I actually get myself jogging in it I warm up.
