Good job on the treadmill and cutting yourself a little slack to enjoy a treat. More motivation to get back on that cardio kick today!

Today 1/23/11 I did 2.5 miles on the treadmill because it was icy this morning and soppy wet when I got home from work.
 
Did 1.1 miles on the treadmill.... I hate that thing, can't wait till this slush goes away and i can go back out side!
 
A few things im kicking around... I think for feb i am going to reset my goal and try to push it harder. Make a goal for amount of time exercising and miles ran etc...So the other thing I was thinking about was a weekly challenge club, each week we get a set of challenges and each person tries to complete them. what do you all think?


No run yesterday or today, letting my legs/feet rest for two days, back at it Friday!
 
Good idea getting a day or two to recover from the running... recovery time is very important.


Your month of weekly challenges sounds like a blast. As we're all at different stages I'd suggest we pick out our own individual goals in terms of distance/number of reps for specific exercises but tracking them all in a challenge club thread sounds like a great idea.


I might start a six week pushup program I found on a site called hundredpushups.com next week.
 
Thanks, yeah my legs where killing me, I am going to try and give it hell tomorrow morning either outside weather permitting or on the treadmill.


I had time to think about this today and here is what I am going to do I will be making a weekly challenge club on the clubs page, and a page that connects to that one on the challenge page.

Each week there will be a list of challenges and some times Bonus stuff. each challenge will be worth a certain number of points and we will keep a leader board on the front of the club page. this way its is kinda fun to see who can get the most points, I will be starting the challenges off easy and making them get harder, perhaps adding a second branch as time goes on. Perhaps you can help me come up with some of the challenges. here is what my Idea was for week one.



Week 1 (easy starter week) February 1st – 5th

(1) 10 Pushups [Goal 0/10 ] 2 points

(2) Walk at least 2 miles [Goal 0/2] 2 points

(3) Lose at least two lbs [Goal 0/2] 2 points

(4) Drink 10 glasses of water [Goal 0/10 ] 1 point

(5) 10 sit ups [Goal 0/10 ] 2 points


Everyone gets 1 point for signing up.
 
Did 2.2 miles on the treadmill in this morning. Felt good. I also made the club challenges page, feel free to Join if you care to do so.

Hope you get in a great run on sat. You are very near goal weight. I bet that feels good.
 
Thanks Brawny, Umm you would think but I only started at 216 at my heavy point. today i was 194, however I kinda slipped in eating today so we will see haha.

I'm looking forward to spring and the longer days to come around so I can actually get outside in the evenings...


Great job on dropping that first 20 and the progress on the running front.
