Time's a Wastin, and I'm Still Fat.

I initially was going to be bad and not log it, but the only one I'm lying to is myself, and I really need to tighten up my logging if I want to make my mini/challenge goals.

So much truth right there. I need to remember that and start measuring and weighing my stuff because I know in my heart sometimes I'm underestimating intake on things just to make the numbers pretty.

Thanks guys.

A surprising jump up to 144.8 this morning.
Got off work a little early and went to Winners to look for some new workout clothes. I did get a couple things but I'm a little between sizes right now. Smalls are a hair snug (plus there wasn't as much selection) but mediums are a bit big (but had more selection of cuter styles).
Had a meeting with my realtor, he wanted me to lower my house's price but I decided to hold out for a couple more week to see if I could get more action.
Then went to work out. Because I hadn't weight lifted for a week my program deloaded me by 10%
Squats 105lbs
Overhead Press 50lbs
Deadlift 105lbs

I then went outside for a torturesome run. Especially the first km was terrible. I just wanted to quit like crazy, but I forced myself to keep going and managed to get my 5km done, in under 30 mins (I think 29:35). I ran 3km out, then 2 back in so I had a km of walking to get back home. Walking that km made me realize how long a km is, and to think that on sunday I ran 12 of them! Crazy!
Here's a pic of some of my new workout gear

I've decided to be careful with my carbs and sodium till weigh in on friday. I know that doing those things won't help with fat loss as weight loss is all about cals in/cals out, but it will hopefully help move some of this darned water weight!

Lunch: Salad, watermelon
Supper: Salad, salsa chicken, mashed potatoes
Snack: Watermelon, yogurt with raspberries, skinny cow ice cream sandwich, chocolate
Total Cals: 1413

Thanks guys.

142.2 this morning. Was surprised that one day of low sodium, low carb eating got the water weight off so fast! Would love to see another big drop tomorrow! Might be getting greedy.

Full day of work today. Had tornado warnings with funnel cloud sightings around my city today. We've never had a tornado in the city, but have had them around the city. This one never touched down. I REALLY need to go to the barn but I have either been busy or lazy. Haven't seen my horse since the horse show! Whoops!
After work I changed and headed out for my run. Disappointingly, my new pants weren't staying up as well as I would like when I run. They weren't falling off me but I kept having to hike them up. Gonna have to see about getting them altered I think. I managed an 8 km run. The first 5km I did in 29:14.
Total Time: 47mins
Pace: 5:51mins/km
Cal Burn: 714

The Rugged Maniac race posted the pictures from the race. Here's a few of the pics

And here's a 'before and after' pic of me in my workout gear. The one on the left is from end of February, the right from today.

Those are awesome photos! You look so happy hanging from those rings, lol!

I always notice when I eat carbs that my hands and feet swell up big time, not so much salt as I really don't eat that much of it added to my food anyways and avoid processed food. But carbs can really bring the bloat.

Thanks guys. The only reason I look so happy on the rings (other than the fact that they were much easier than I thought they'd be) is that I saw the photographer and wanted to get pics where I didn't have constipated face from concentrating.

140.6 this morning. This low sodium/carb is kicking my water weight's butt. Will have to remember this next time I have a lot of water weight hanging around before a 'big' weigh in day.

Was feeling tired and lazy today. After work I really fought with myself to get to the gym. I had myself convinced to chill and not do anything, then had myself convinced to go to the gym, then back to chilling, then back to the gym. I finally said 'think about your body" (aka, what was going to make my body look more the way I wanted) and decided I would go to the gym and at least do my weights.
I headed down there and was the only one at the gym so I decided that I would try, for the first time since I pretty much started to work out, to do a pull up. Well, it was not pretty or correct form at all but I got my chin up over that bar once (sorta twice)! Considering I couldn't even start to lift my body up when I tried at the beginning of the year that is improvement, though maybe not as much as I would like. I did some reading this evening and will make some changes and see how I do. I have decided to try to add in pull ups with my weight training days to try to make improvements that way as I hear that having the ability to do that is a big plus to making it through the tough mudder. The rest of my weights went fine
Squats 110lbs
Bench Press 55lbs
Barbell Rows 55lbs
It seems I keep getting stuck at these weights since I keep having to deload from missing a week or 2. Gotta try to not have any more of those misses.
I just did NOT have the energy or desire to do cardio. I told myself 'maybe you can do it later in the evening' full well knowing that it would not happen because when I sit down at home I don't get back up again.
And that's what I did. Got home and did nothing. I did fight off the urge to have an 'eff it' day, but I did nothing... UNTIL 9:40. I got up off the couch, changed, and headed out for a run! Told myself to run a nice slow 4km, instead I ran my second fastest 5km.
Time: 28:45
Pace: 5:44min/km
Cal Burn: 445
I had random moments in my run where I felt really good. Where I was like 'wow, I can't believe I can run this fast' Those random almost floating moments during a run.

Lunch: Salad
Supper: Pita Sandwich, Salad, watermelon
Snack: Popcorn with sugar/cinnamon, yogurt with raspberries, ice cream sandwich
Total Cals: 1384

Crossing fingers for a decent official weigh in tomorrow. Maybe see the 130's??

Overall awesomeness going on in here! Pull-ups are hard when you´re a female so great work getting even two of them in!

I agree with LaMa( I almost always do!) Awesomeness happening here Mystic!

Thanks guys.

Official Weigh in. Unfortunately did not see the 130's.

Starting weight: 183.5
Current Weight: 141 (-1.4)
First Mini Goal Weight: 160 by March 27 *Accomplished March 20th*
Second Mini Goal Weight: 144 by July 3 *Accomplished July 3rd*
Third Mini Goal Weight: 133 by September 4
Final Goal Weigh: 125

You may have noticed that I have 2 tickers in my signature at the moment. Ticker Factory won't let me update my ticker for some reason, there must be a glitch. So I made a new one somewhere else, but the Ticker Factory has all my data, all my weigh in's so I don't want to lose it, so I'm gonna keep both for now and see if ticker factory rights itself or not.

Today was not a great day eating wise. I managed to get it in check around 4pm, and I should be able to stay within my cals for the week, but I wish it had been better. I got off work early as we are slow today, and didn't go to the barn nor did I exercise. I decided that today would be a day off exercise because I exercised tues-thurs, and I plan to do a 14km run tomorrow, plus doing some outdoor games like capture the flag and such, then on Sunday I have a hike (no idea how far of a hike. I was bored and lazed around so much that I just wanted to stuff my face. I also made a dessert for tomorrow, and so with licking the bowls clean after I finished making it I had the yummy tasted in my mouth and off I went. Had a bunch of sweet stuff, then craved salty stuff.
Finally I was able to stop myself, I then called my mom and asked if she would come to the mall with me. I just needed to get out of the house and walk around a bit. That was very helpful other than spending too much money. I bought some new undies because I think mine are all too big and they keep riding up! I also bought some knee high socks to wear while running in my skirt/shorts, and headbands to wear while exercising. Also some new flip flops and scarves.

I don't think I mentioned this but some of you will remember me mentioning that I was thinking about trying those meetup.com groups. It's taken a while to find the balls and time to do it but that's what my weekend activities are. Tomorrow is outdoor games like capture the flag and such, and sunday is hiking. It seems like there should be a fairly large number of people going to each which is what I wanted. I didn't want a small group that would all know each other really well and I would be the outsider, I wanted a large group that had a bit less familiarity with each other which would be more easy to infiltrate haha. Crossing fingers. The weather isn't looking amazing. 22* and thunderstorms tomorrow, 19* and showers on sunday. HOpefully it will behave well enough.

I have another showing on my house tomorrow morning. I will have to plan to do my run during the time they are viewing my place, and lock my poodle in my vehicle. Had to do cleaning this evening instead of watching a movie on my couch as I only found out at around 8:30pm. I didn't lower my price the other day when my realtor wanted to, but will probably only stay at this price for a couple week before I do have to lower it so these people need to buy it, but the noisy barking dog down the hall is gonna ruin the sale I'm sure!

Also, I think I mentioned that I had decided to return one of the running skirts I bought and exchange it for a different one as I wasn't in love with the colors of the one I got. Well after paying 16 bucks in shipping (and apparently sending it to the wrong address despite sending it to the canadian address they listed on their site) the first one back, they sent me out the replacement I asked for except... it was not the one I asked for. The one I wanted was a cute plaid, and the one I got was a solid blue-y green. So I've emailed them (they tend to take a long time to respond to emails, might even take another email from me before they respond) and asked them how this can be fixed WITHOUT me paying again for return shipping. If they won't pay for return shipping I will probably just keep the skirt, it's a pretty enough color, but just make sure to never order anything from them again. Too much hassle.

I also bought a fitbit on amazon last night. I missed seeing the steps and calories I burned during the day. Running I have treadmill and mapmyrun to get rough cal burns, but things like playing capture the flag and such I don't have anything to guess the cal burns and such. They shipped it today and I'll get it on thursday, then when I went to the mall today they had it for sale for the same price so I could have gotten it today and had it for capture the flag and hiking this weekend! Whoops.

Good on you Mystic for trying out the meetup thingy. Hope you have a great week-end including selling your apartment!

I have the worst luck ordering clothes online also. Always a hassle. Have fun this weekend on your meetups and good luck with the showing!

Thanks guys.
141.4 this morning.

My goodness, what a day today! Phew!
Started the day off with my long run. I had initially planned to run 7km out then 7km in for a total of 14kms, but I was feeling so good at 7km out that I decided to add another km out before turning back, so my 14km run turned into a 16 km run! When I run these long distances I just end up getting into the run where I just 'stay the same'. I don't feel tired almost no matter how far I run! It's so weird! I ran the entire distance with no walking at all! And my pace got consistently faster as I went.
Time: 1 hour 38mins
Pace: 6:10mins/km
Cal Burn: 1437

I then came home, showered and got ready to go to the meet up. I. had. SO. much. fun! I couldn't believe it! Everyone was really great to hang out with (there were about 8 guys and 2 other girls). I could totally see myself hanging out with them. We played ultimate frisbee first which was really fast paced, tons of sprinting. I was so out of breath and sweaty. We also played soccer (I played defence on a pretty good team so it was a little less running than the frisbee was). I totally wore the wrong shoes. I didn't think playing in my sketchers was going to be an issue, but the games were all quite fast paced with tons of quick stops and changes of direction and my feet just took a beating. Next time I'll be wearing actual runners! I also have big bruises on my 'kicking' leg from the soccer ball! My leg's ain't used to that! The guesstimation on cal burn for that was 1700 cals.
We then all headed to Boston Pizza for supper. I was really glad I went and had so much fun!
Tomorrow I have hiking and some of the same people are going to be there so that will be good. Plus more cal burn!

I ate... a lot. And not sure if I'm able to stop yet. At around 3700 cals so far. I estimate I burned 4500 cals today so sitting at a 800 cal deficit at the moment. Definitely going to be over my cals for the week, but it's also been a very high cal burn week.

Ok, finished eating for the day. Still have a small deficit but for how much I burned it would have been nice to make more use of it deficit wise!

Won't list all that I ate today. My total cals were around 4100

Wow girl, you caught the running bug for realsies! That´s a lot of ground covered. I´m not surprised you got so hungry after burning so many calories in a day, I get that sometimes when I hike. I guess it makes sense to keep your body cared for when it works a lot. Especially if you´re on a calorie deficit anyway!

You have certainly got yourself into the running zone Mystic! So glad you are having such a fun week-end [emoji106]

Good luck with the meetup groups, I'm really interested in how you go!!! I've been eyeing a few off for ages but actually getting out there and taking the plunge is... harder to wrap my head around than I thought lol.

Congrats on the weigh in!
