Thanks guys. THe dark jeans and the dark lighting hide the thunder thighs but they're there. I don't need them crazy small, but small enough that wearing a skirt, especially in warm weather, isn't uncomfortable.

Work was a bit easier today than last week. I also kept it shorter as I had an appointment to review my house's blueprints.
I got off early enough from work to ride my horse before the appointment. It's lovely outside so rode outside again. Did a regular ride first then headed to the back field to do his first gallops of the year. The first one was super lame as he wasn't expecting me to ask him to gallop, but the next time he really got into it. So much so that he started to do happy bucks. It was cute. They were not to try to get me off, just cause he was having fun.
Went to my appointment. Wasn't anything exciting. I really have no choices with any of it since, even though it's classified as a single family dwelling, it's built as what it looks like, a town house. So you have the options of a townhouse build.
REALLY did not feel like exercising today. Not that I didn't feel like exercising itself, but that I didn't want to do the exercise regimens I have been doing, especially not running or circuit training.
I ended up going to a yoga class. Ate supper before hand as the class was during my usual supper time. The class was a 'Baptiste' class, which I have never taken before. I wasn't sure how I'd like the class but it was quite good. Pretty fast moving. I guess the sequences are always in the same order in this class each time so you can get into a flow. I guess it's the most practiced yoga type in North America or something. The instructor was good. I guess since I started doing yoga I have been doing my upward dog's wrong. She came up and helped correct my posture in a much more positive way than the last dude.

Positive instructors are really valuable - and they make things more fun. Back to the thighs once more: I understand the skirt problem completely but while it´s annoying it´s something most women deal with (big and small), it´s NOT a sign that your thighs are bigger than they should be. Even though the current "thigh gap" thing tries to make us think so.

Thanks. They're still too big!

Yay! Got my diary back!
Here was yesterday's entry (which I wrote yesterday) and I will do today's entry later tonight.

April 21, 2015
Surprisingly 152.8 this morning, but I think that's due to eating supper early and being a touch dehydrated from Hot Yoga.

Got off work at 2 and went with my mom to look at some more houses. Some possibilities (the house she initially wanted we just found out late tonight that they won't sell it for the price she needs). She'd be living like a 5 min walk from my new house.
After that I picked up my friend and went to ride my horse. Did some regular work then went out back for a gallop. He was a little less crazy today.
My friend and I went to Edo Japan for supper.
I dropped my friend off. I knew I had to exercise but for some reason I have just been DREADING running. Can't even get myself to do it. And since I also can't stand my circuit training and stationary bike has never really been my thing, my options are limited. I decided to do yoga today so at LEAST I did something! But I need to do more cardio stuff if I'm to get ready for the Tough Mudder. I just don't know why I'm suddenly dreading running so much. I wish I had my actual bike at my apartment, I think a break from running and doing some biking would help switch things up and allow me to be ok with running again. My bike needs it's tire fixed and I think you have to pay to have it put into my apartment's bike storage so I'm not sure if I'll bring it up. I can't just keep doing yoga every time I need to exercise cause that's expensive!

152.8 this morning again.
We are a bit slow at work this week, but that allowed me to go with my mom to see more houses. She had put a hold onto one of the houses that's really close to mine, and if all goes well she'll put in an offer to purchase on monday. Then I can put my place up for sale within the next few weeks.
I was hoping my mom and I could go for a bike ride but my bike needs a new tire. One of her friends wanted to get together with her anyways so I went on my own. I rode down to the community I bought a house in and went to look at the main lake entrance (had only seen the smaller one), then went down to where my house is being built. They are moving pretty quick!
It ended up being 15km's. My average pace's got a bit messed up when I had to stop for lights and such. My quickest km was 13.9km/h (my 9th km). I think my average pace without the stopping would probably be around 16km/h. Took me just under 50 mins, and burned 480 cals supposedly. Riding bike is a bit like feast or famine as far as exercise. You either feel like you're going to die, legs are burning, heart is pounding, lungs hurt, OR you are coasting not doing a darn thing! (which is the best part! haha) It's nice cause you can catch your breath and recover. It was so windy that at times I swore I was going backwards! (Haha, maybe a slight exaggeration) but it was tough!
It was after 7 by the time I was heading home and I hadn't eaten supper yet so decided to pick up vietnamese on my way home so I could eat before 8pm.
BTW, I had a salad for lunch today :eek2: My mom needed to get her packaged salads eaten before she goes away for the weekend so I had it. It was ok. Low cals that's for sure.

Lunch: Salad
Supper: Vietnamese
Snack: Popcorn, kinder bars, cookies and cream drops

What a fantastic 15km work out! You must have been soooo tired.
Mmm vietnamese food sounds amazing?
Well done on a brilliant day. :hurray:

Thank you.
A big jump up to 154.6 this morning. Not really sure why. Supper yesterday was maybe 30 mins later than it often is, and it was restaurant food so high in sodium, but most days I eat a good bit of sodium. I did do the bike ride which my body isn't used to, but I am virtually not sore at all (I was really stiff the last couple days due to yoga and my weight was down). Maybe it was just dehydration from the yoga that made my weight drop, but I drank a good bit of water those days and don't usually see such large drops from it. Over analyzing! Haha. That's what happens when you weigh everyday!

I thought I would have a super slow day at work today but 3 of my 4 dogs took longer than expected. Still finished by 4 and headed to the barn. Felt really lazy and almost did another 'get to the barn, feed my horse a treat and leave' but I think I'm going to be having a lesson tomorrow so I needed to work him. I ended up lunging him.
I took today off exercise but I maybe shouldn't have. If I do lesson tomorrow then I won't be done and back from the barn till after 7, which means by the time I would eat supper and be able to go exercise it'd be 8pm which is not likely to lead to me wanting to exercise yet. I can take today and tomorrow off exercise and still get in my 5 days as long as I do both saturday and sunday.

Lunch: 1/2 enchilada

Meh on the weight but these things happen. And since you´re doing all the right things it´ll go down again (I know you know, but sometimes it´s helpful to hear it from others too). Have fun with your exercise-filled weekend!

Thanks!
Not the weigh in I was hoping for but whatever.

Starting weight: 183.5
Current Weight: 154 (-0.8)
First Mini Goal Weight: 160 by March 27 *Accomplished March 20th*
Second Mini Goal Weight: 144 by July 3
Final Goal Weigh: 125

Great bike ride!!! I had to look up km to miles conversion but 9.3 miles is no joke. Having to start and stop does mess up average pace but intervals of high intensity with breaks in it is very effective and in many ways more advantageous than a steady pace. It's a good way to mix up your routine and hit different muscles in different ways. I hope you can work it into your routine to mix it up a bit. As you know, I'm totally addicted to biking!!!

Thanks. I don't have a bike at my house (and MY bike still needs a new tire) so it will be a bit harder to add it in too much but I think I'd like to have diversity in my workouts so will try to add it in.

I don't think I mentioned before but at my blueprints meeting for my house, they estimated it would be done by Sept/Oct when I was estimating Dec-Feb (when I bought the house they said 8-10 months after they started building). This means that as soon as my mom confirms buying her house and knows her move in date my house would go up on the market. Looking at current places for sale in my apartment building I think I'll be able to get a decent amount (though not enough to get 20% so I'm gonna have to do some money squandering to try to come up with it so I don't have to go with an insured mortgage). If I can get my place sold relatively quick and not have a mortgage payment and such for a few months will help. I'm also toying with the idea of selling my horse (he was up for sale last year but never sold as we had a bad year showing wise). Just the money I'd get from selling him would virtually get me there if I could sell my house for what I'd like.
Work was ok. I was supposed to have a riding lesson but it didn't work out. I tried to get together with a friend but she was busy. I drove over to a couple furniture stores to look around. I'm discovering that it's gonna be hard to find the style of furniture I want for my new place, at least at prices I can afford.
Now, since I decided to be lazy and not go ride, I should have done a run or workout of some kind. I did nothing! Lazed around all evening. I should be able to do my workouts on the weekend but I didn't do anything this evening and totally could have done something. Then if something came up on the weekend I would be covered.
Stayed within my cals, though I had an odd supper. French Toast, then a little later, bread with honey haha. Don't know why.
Looking after my mom's dog this weekend. Praying I can save my carpet from anymore pee spots. I'm also REALLY praying that the pee spots already there will come out with a professional carpet shampooing or my price on my house may have to drop cause they'll have to redo the carpets!

Supper: French Toast, Bread with honey

:( House trouble. It´s all really exciting and furnishing a new place is great fun (though always so much more expensive then you´d think) but getting stuff wrapped up for the old place is an endless chore. And I´ve only ever had my appartments in rent! Good luck getting everything arranged, I´m not all that surprised it messes with your resolve to exercise a bit but you´ll pick yourself up again tomorrow and not only feel proud of yourself afterward but also have more energy.

Thanks. I'll just be glad once it's all said and done. I can get by with less than 20% it just raises my monthly payments which are already substantially higher than my current mortgage. If I didn't have my horse I would be able to afford the place by myself, AND would likely have the 20%. If I do have my horse, I likely won't be able to afford it easily on my own, which means roommate, and I wouldn't have the 20%. However it wouldn't be as big of a deal as I would have a roommate to cover a lot of the costs. Hmm. But the downside is I'd have a roommate!
Part of the problem I'm finding with the furniture is that, to fit the design of the house the couches I'm finding most attractive are light colored fabric couches. And with dogs, light colored fabric couches are going to be gross in short order!

This morning I was 152.4 (at 9:30).
My plan for workout today was to do 30 mins treadmill, 30 mins stationary bike. Unfortunately, the bikes that had displays did not work, and the rest of the bikes had no displays at all so I would have had no idea of how far I went or anything.
So I ended up on the elliptical (the first one again didn't work).
30 mins treadmill. 2.77 miles (4.46km). Speed of 5.6 and 1 min sprint at 7.6. 28 mins running total. 364 cal burn according to treadmill.
30 mins elliptical. Resistance of 7. The machine said cal burn of 589 but I would this 2/3rds of that would probably be more accurate so 392.

Should have gone to the barn but was too lazy. Got back from the gym and MY dog peed on my carpet! Not my mom's dog, MY dog. Arg. So now he will be locked up in the bathroom while I'm away, at least until my mom's dog goes back home.

I have the same problem here Mystic, with couches & our dog. I have blankets on the chairs she can get on. They don't look great, but, hey, I have the colour I like! I can't imagine you without a horse. It seems to be such a big part of your life. Having a house-mate though, after being used to your private space, would be difficult to get used to. Decisions, decisions! Cheers, Cate.

At times I could easily see walking away from horses, and at other times it terrifies me. I've done it for 18 years, owned my own horse(s) for 16 years. But I also can be really lazy with it, not having a strong desire to ride sometimes, for long periods of time. My mind works very in the moment so I think once I would sell him and 'get out' I think I would be ok, and the money I would save would be incredible.

I went to the mall with a friend in the afternoon. Locked my mom's dog up in his kennel, locked my dog up in the bathroom so there would be no accidents! I felt a little bad when I got home because they were really thirsty, especially my old dog. I think it's because I fed them right before locking them up.
My friend and I mostly just walked around. We both didn't have any money to really spend. I did spend 35 bucks on a couple pairs of sweat pants. I can wear sweatpants a lot less now that I can fit in my jeans, but it's still nice sometimes to have a couple 'nice' pairs of sweatpants if you want to hang out with a friend to watch a movie at home or something.
Had Edo Japan there (I know I know, again?! I thought the mall had a subway but they didn't) and also frozen yogurt.
Got home and watched Rainman.
Tomorrow I'm having a BBQ with some friends. Should have cals left for it. I also need to do a workout, and SHOULD ride! I have a horse show in like 2 weeks! Could be my last one, so I would want it to go well, both for my enjoyment and for selling him.

Lunch: Chicken Wrap
Supper: Edo Japan
Snacks: Frozen Yogurt, popcorn, cookies, kinder bars, cookies and cream drops (haha, lots of snacks today. Need more veggies!)
Total Cals: 1882

Ooo.. Rainman. Haven't watched that in forever. Love that movie! I just bought new sweatpants a couple weekends ago. It's nice to have decent ones again. My selection before that was looking pretty bad. lol. Good luck with the horse show!

Rain Man is a great movie! I guess making the decision with your horse would be affected by how much feels like work & how much feels like play. Training seems to take up a lot of your time & is expensive. That's OK if you love it of course. It's good that you are an "in the moment" person. Making decisions can be tough, but when we make them, it's good to be able to move on, without regrets. Your life seems fairly positive right now Mystic xo Cate

Thanks you guys.
152.8 this morning (around 10:30 or 11)
Today was a bit of an odd day.
When I was going to bed last night I realized that if I wanted to ride and workout I would need to wake up earlier than my usual time my alarm would go off (9:30) but my dog was lying on my arm and I didn't want to disturb him. I know I can't fall asleep with him laying like that anyways so I decided to wait the 15 mins or so it usually takes for him to move somewhere else then I would change my alarm. Well of course I totally forgot to change it. So I woke up at 9:30. Knowing I couldn't get both riding and working out in anyways I turned it off (meant to press snooze) and fell back asleep. Thankfully didn't sleep too long and woke up at 10:15. Got out of bed not too long after that and got changed to do my workout, which was a treadmill run
My farthest run yet I believe. 6.05miles (9.74km). 2min walk warm up, 5min walk cool down, 1 min walk at 30:00. 5.7 speed for most, 6.0 for last 15 or so mins. 8.0 speed sprint for last minute. 779 cals burned according to treadmill.

I then came back to my place, showered and did my hair/makeup and got ready to go to the BBQ I organized with friends for 2:30. Had to stop off and get charcoal for the firepit and some groceries (like smokies and buns). We hung out, talked for a bit, made our food and ate it, but I thought we were planning on this being a kinda 'all day' thing. Either hanging out at the park or going back to my friend's house and hanging out there. But by 5pm we were all going our separate directions. I hadn't realized my friend had made other arrangements for the evening as she hadn't mentioned it at all despite the fact that we had arranged that we would might go back to her place if A. the weather was crappy so we would just go to her place and not do the BBQ, or B. we had the BBQ but then wanted to go play some video games or something. I was quite disappointed, but the time we did spend together was good. Had 2 smaller smokies on buns, a few fritos and some popcorn. Had a diet lemonade a friend had brought.
Went back home and was just exhausted. I usually have some chocolate for my evening snacks and realized I had none left for tonight. I debated on picking up both chocolate and dinner from somewhere since I had had the calories, but didn't feel like anything dinner-y. After a lot of debating about food, as well as a lot of debating about if I even had the energy to get up, I finally convinced myself to get up and go get some frozen yogurt(been really into froyo lately). The place I would normally go to in the mall was closed by the time I left so I went to a new place. They had a TON of things to mix into your yogurt, but IMO had a disappointing selection of yogurt choices. I got Snickers yogurt, cookie dough and cookies and cream chunks as well as nerds and some caramel mix-ins. It was decent. Wouldn't be my first choice of place to go to again as I am more of a cheesecake or white chocolate yogurt fan. I also picked up some chocolate (reece's pieces can't really be called chocolate though can it?) on my way home too.
Got home and again felt truly exhausted. I ended up having one serving of reece's pieces and that was it for the day.
So, even though I had 2300 cals to eat today to stay in my weekly cals I ended up eating just 1591.

Lunch: Smokies, popcorn, fritos, diet lemonade
Snacks: Frozen yogurt, reece's pieces
Total Cals: 1591

Ok, edited to add that I ended up feeling hungry at 10pm so had a bagel with butter

Lunch: Smokies, popcorn, fritos, diet lemonade
Snacks: Frozen yogurt, reece's pieces
Supper: (sort of) Bagel w/ butter
Total Cals: 1931

396 cals under weekly goal.
