Anyone else having issues replying? My message area is blank (no box to write in) so I have to click 'submit reply' which then opens up to the next screen that says 'your message is too short' (duh, because there is no message box to write in) and then I can reply in that box.
Anywho. Had a really lazy day today. Work wasn't lazy, but I felt so spent after it (it wasn't a super hard day either) that instead of riding I went home afterwards. I then almost didn't go for a walk (my steps for the day at that point was like 4000) partly due to laziness, and partly due to it lightening like crazy outside. But I DO have a gym IN my building, so the lightening REALLY wasn't an excuse. Finally at 9:30 I got my butt up off the couch and went down to the gym. Had to do 50 mins at a pace of about 3.8 to get my 10,000 steps in.
I also walked 5 miles altogether today, did 12 flights of stairs (possibly 1 or 2 more as my fitbit usually misses a couple), and burned about 2300 cals (for the day).
Was over 100% on everything so happy with that, especially since I so wanted to do nothing. My fitbit really helped me to get myself going today.
Ate well too. Ended up a bit below 1500 cals. Since I got home fairly early compared to usual I was worried that I might over eat having so much spare time to toodle away. So instead of making the food that I had prepared that was just a microwave away from being ready to eat, I made a casserole which took probably an hour and a half to make. I ate some strawberries while waiting, but pushed back my dinner to a more normal dinner time then what I might have if I was just warming something up in the microwave.
One more day of work then a long weekend! Might check out a dog show that is going on this weekend, want to do something outdoorsy on sunday. I wanted to do a hike but my friend isn't into hikes so maybe a bike ride or something. If I felt more comfy in a bathing suit we'd probably hit the beach but alas, not this year. Next year baby!
Still can't convince myself to do any actual 'hard' exercise even though I know it's much more beneficial than walking. Gonna keep trying to convince myself. It's like, I can either do something that makes me move, think, jump around for 30 mins that's far more beneficial than walking, or I can slowly put one foot in front of the other for a 50 min walk. It should be an easier choice than it is.
