Hi Anne

What lucky birds getting you for a Mummy. They are cute.

Well done for getting your walking done. It is always an achievement.

I have just got back from my yoga class and she spoke about various things. When she spoke of S.A.D. I thought I would pass on the info to you. You may think it a pile of nonsense - but there may be something in it worth giving a try.

S.A.D. is associated with the head shakra - it is located in the top of your head.
The best exercises that you can do are:
- stand on your head
- stand, feet apart and parallel, knees slightly bent, lean down at the waist so that your head hangs down

The best colour to help your head shakra is violet.

Take care

I'm having a terrible time getting on to post. I don't know if it's my internet or this site. I'm hoping this will post. I'll write again as soon as this page will load properly.
I'm off to the gym now.

have you ever tried a good thermogenic? appetite suppressant and will give you doulble the energy. i like them and have has success with a few brands. good luck!

I walked 1.5 miles at the gym today. This site keeps saying Data error or something, so I'm going to make this quick. I just wanted to post what I did so far, and when the site is not acting up, I'll come back and do what I normally do.

hey anne!!

well, I live up in Vancouver, BC, but I'm sure that the weather here isn't that much different than in WA...

i keep having the same problem with this data thing too, it seems to happen at a certain time during the day... maybe cause we're all trying to login at the same time, lol. great minds think alike, y'know... lol

hope you had a great day!

It feels like I haven't posted in forever! Every time I tried to come here, either I get the data error page, or the page would load totally blank. I hope it's fixed now.

I did not make it to the gym in the morning yesterday. I met my sister and cousin for lunch. Since I live so far from them, I have to drive the 45 min. there and 45 min back. So, my gym time was gone. I did go last night and walked my 2 miles.

While I did fit into a size 16 jeans, I am not losing the lbs. I think I have to start drinking more water. My husband says I should do some situps to help get rid of my stomache.

Anyway, I thought I'd check in and I'm off to post in your diaries. Sorry I haven't been able to the past two days. :(

Hi Anne!

maybe you need to switch things up at the gym and try a different machine? and yes, water definitely helps!!

how are the 2 new birdies doing? are they getting along with the others?

have a great day!

Hey Anne,
Unfortunately I don't think sit-ups get rid of a stomach.... only doing cardio and dieting can get rid of fat on a stomach, and even with cardio you can't do spot reduction. Sit-ups only tighten the muscle under the fat... which you won't be able to see unless you burn the fat with cardio first.

I agree with Starry... you could try switching things up at the gym. Or maybe try going for that third mile if you can. Or take an aerobics class at the gym. It seems that since you can fit into that size 16 jean, then you're probably losing inches instead of pounds.

Have a good day. Try not to worry too much about it. You may start seeing more pound loss soon.

When I went to the gym today, I had a talk with the lady who owns the place. I told her I wasn't losing the weight I thought I should and she told me I needed to incorporate weight lifting with my walking. She set me up with a plan and told me how much to do and walked me through everything today. I will be weight lifting 3 times a week, along with my walking. But she said I shouldn't walk twice on the same day I lift weights.

I'm going to try that a few weeks and see if that will help. I hope so! It's very depressing getting on the scale and not seeing the slightest drop in weight. I actually think I gained a pound, or two. :(

Ok, I will write later. Gotta pick up daughter from school.

I'm sure weight lifting will definitely help!!! That's a great plan. The more active your muscles are, the more muscle you have, the easier it is to burn fat. I hope that helps you. :)

Hi Anne

I have been having a lot of problems getting this website to load up properly too.

I hope that the change works for you.

I think that some change associated with the exercise is a good idea - and that seems as good a plan as any.

Whenever I hit a plateau when I stopped losing weight - I stepped up the distance walked and this kept working for me.

The important thing is that the weight hardly matters as long as the inches are reducing - which they are for you. If you look into the last couple of weeks of the diary of Kim - Miss Ladybird - you will see that she is getting more muscular and will find herself at her target size at a higher weight than she had anticipated. She has chosen a favourite skirt and will consider herself at target weight - at whatever weight she is when that fits well.

Dont get depressed or discouraged. You are doing very well.

Take care

I went to the gym tonight and I rode the bike for 30 min. Since I already did my walking and my weight lifting, I figured riding the bike would help too. I'm already used to going to the gym 2 times a day, and when I miss, it feels weird. Uh oh.. am I becoming a gym junkie? :biggrinjester:

I know that losing inches is good too, but I want to get rid of this double chin asap! I can hide in baggy clothes, but I can't wear covering over my double chin....lol

You guys are great!---such good support! I am certain I would not have the motivation if it weren't for all of you great people!:grouphug:

Thanks so much!!

Anne

You guys aren't going to believe this! I hopped on my scale this morning and it read 192.0. Now, you should know that all week my weight has been fluctuating from 193-197. I wanted that scale to read 191 SO bad! I was standing on the scale in a t-shirt and undies, and threw off both, and without trying to sound gross, I pushed myself to pee ( for the 2 time in 15 min) and hopped back on the scale. 191.6

I can't believe it! I was so worried I was back up to 195-6-7! I am flying high right now!!:hurray:

I am going to try to eat more/better. I just woke up and I ate a banana for breakfast. I'm going to set my phone alarm to remind me to eat. I'm going to try to get my metabolism working right and with the exercise, I think this thing could really work!

My legs are a bit sore from lifting weights yesterday, but not as bad as I expected. Piece of cake!

Now that I know my weight fluctuates so much during the week, I'm going to try to not let it bother me.

Anne

I weighed myself about 2 hours later, and the scale said 191.6. I'm going to keep that. :) Since it read the same twice, I think that is going to stick.

I had a banana for breakfast and 1/2 sandwich for lunch. One piece of bread with 3 thin/shaved slices of polish ham.

Not sure what I'm having for dinner.

Anne, fantastic!!! Without trying to sound gross either, I always pee before I weigh myself. All that water can weigh so much, it's unbelievable! Anyway, it's great that you're gonna start watching what you eat more! Isn't weight loss such a motivator??? Have a great day... but I suspect you already will!
