Time to stop thinking that my diet is not THAT bad...!

Managed to cook 25 meals over the weekend. That's every weekday evening meal sorted and calorie counted until I go on holiday to Fuerterventura. That will make dieting a lot easier when I'm not sure if I'm over/undereating for breakfast and lunch :)

Wow. I am very impressed!

Haha thanks! It was hard work, but so glad I've done it now.

I made a purchase today that is probably a little surprising when considering I've been keeping a weight loss diary for nearly 6 months: bathroom scales. I've been tracking my weight at the gym up until now. Figured it was about time I treated myself to a set!

Went to body pump today and they have done a relaunch class. Think I'll be hurting a lot tomorrow! Food has gone quite well :)

Breakfast
2 boiled eggs, hummus, and pepperoni slices

Lunch
Fish with kidney beans and half a wholemeal wrap

Dinner
A steak burger and cod with green beans and chilli sauce

Drinks
3 teas
4 orange squashes

Oh man the gym was hard today. I did a body conditioning class followed by body attack. The gym instructors decided to add an extra 15 minutes onto body attack, so I ended up doing nearly 2 hours of solid exercise. Usually I feel good after the gym, but today I felt exhausted by the time I caught the bus home.

Today was within calorie limits:

Breakfast
2 boiled eggs and chorizo

Lunch
Chicken with veg and tomato

Dinner
Prawns with veg and stir fry sauce

Drinks
3 teas
2 orange squashes
Half a litre of water
2 small glasses of red wine

I won't be exercising tomorrow or Thursday as I'll be missing. My boyfriend's grandmother has passed away, so we're going back to his hometown for the funeral. My boyfriend and his family seem to have planned it in great detail, so hopefully it will be the best send off for her.

Went on my new scales and it has my weight as 9 stone and 11 1/2 pounds, which is a 1 1/2 pound loss over 2 weeks. I've lost half an inch on my bust, waist and hips, making my measurements now 35-27-38.5.

Still some way to go before I hit my goal of 9 stone and/or 34-26-37. I had hoped to achieve by the 10th November, but losing over 2 pounds per week is a bit of an ask unless I stick to 1,200 calories per day religiously. But still, the numbers are going down which is the main thing :)

Thanks very much for the encouragement guys :)

I have come to conclusion that I'm going to give protein powder a go. I didn't feel very well yesterday as I woke up with griping pains in my stomach. Couldn't face eating any more eggs for breakfast so I had yogurt and bought my lunch from a shop. I did feel better afterwards, but obviously it didn't do a great deal when looking at how well I used my calories. Think I do need to vary it a bit more rather than just having 'go-to' foods!

Food diary

Bbteakfast
Yogurt and granola

Lunch
Chicken and veg broth

Dinner
Sausage with spinach, onion, and half an apple

Snack
A protein bar

Drinks
4 teas
3 orange squashes

They have all kinds on the market. Each one has it's own level of protein and carbs. The cheaper ones tend to have less protein and more carbs than the more expensive ones. So just check the nutrition labels out. They come in all flavors so you should be able to find something you like.

Thank you for the insight :) all a bit new to me. Have told my boyfriend about me potentially making him protein pancakes for breakfast so he's on board haha,

Today was the funeral. It was as good as it possibly could be. Not a diet in the slightest. I even made a point of eating cake because my boyfriend's nana had such a sweet tooth it wouldn't have felt right otherwise.

We've had a bit of a faff with our house. Decorators have let us down. Joiners have been too busy. The carpet people came and then fitted the wrong underlay. They had to do it again while we were at the funeral 2 hours away. Luckily my mum was about to keep watch.

Here's me laid on the floor finally enjoying our new carpet!

Most on the market are flavored much like a milkshake..choc...vanilla....etc.... For adding to pancakes...awesome idea by the way... They have unflavored normally just listed as whey protein. Best option is to go into a nutrition store and look around. They have more of a selection than the grocers have :)

Furniture arrived on Monday. We now have a bedroom that is starting to look like a bedroom :D

Been quite busy visiting family over the weekend. Food has been okay, but it is a bit harder when you're eating what's put in front of you.

However, I was still disappointed to see I had gone up by three quarters of a pound as I didn't think it had gone that badly! Measurements have stayed the same. Ah well. Been to the gym every day this week, so hopefully will reverse it!

Today has been a bit of experimenting with food :) some good, some not so much!

My protein powder arrived last night. Ever since then my boyfriend has been taking the piss out of me asking if I'm bulking up and how many squats I'm doing per day. I ignore him ;). I went for chocolate flavour and tried a bit with water. It seemed to taste okay, apart from the obvious fact that it was just flavoured water :Angel_anim:

After a bit of research, I found that people were recommending almond milk to go with it. I've had some difficulty with dairy products, as I don't eat cheese and the only cow's milk I'll really touch is skimmed milk. I bought a carton and I expected to hate it. I have to admit I really surprised myself - mainly because I didn't gag after the first sip! I mixed it with the protein powered later on, and it was lovely :)

Lunchtime was not so successful. I spotted some premade lunches at the supermarket, which claimed to be high protein and low in carbs. Normally they're expensive, but they were on offer so I thought I'd give it a go. It was chicken with quinoa, broccoli and carrots. As soon as I opened it, the smell was horrific. The broccoli tasted like sprouts. Soon explains why they were on offer.:ack2:

Overall the food diary was good. I went to boot camp and body pump, which makes the 4th day in a row at the gym :)

Breakfast
2 boiled eggs and half an avocado

Lunch
Chicken salad

Dinner
Turkey with salsa and a small piece of bread

Snacks
A protein shake

Drinks
3 teas
3 orange squashes
1 litre of water

My boyfriend's parents are coming up this weekend. Hopefully it shouldn't be too bad of a weekend since I have more control over what I'm eating and drinking :)

I love almond milk & always buy the unsweetened one. Your boyfriend is cheeky!

I'll tell him that. He'll probably just laugh!

Very busy weekend with boyfriend's parents over. They helped a lot with the decorating! Diet wise it still wasn't great because we had a few drinks and food out on Friday and Saturday, but it is better at home when I have more control over what I can eat.

Below is the feature wall of the spare room. Pretty pleased with the result!
