Today has been a bit of experimenting with food

some good, some not so much!
My protein powder arrived last night. Ever since then my boyfriend has been taking the piss out of me asking if I'm bulking up and how many squats I'm doing per day. I ignore him

. I went for chocolate flavour and tried a bit with water. It seemed to taste okay, apart from the obvious fact that it was just flavoured water
After a bit of research, I found that people were recommending almond milk to go with it. I've had some difficulty with dairy products, as I don't eat cheese and the only cow's milk I'll really touch is skimmed milk. I bought a carton and I expected to hate it. I have to admit I really surprised myself - mainly because I didn't gag after the first sip! I mixed it with the protein powered later on, and it was lovely
Lunchtime was not so successful. I spotted some premade lunches at the supermarket, which claimed to be high protein and low in carbs. Normally they're expensive, but they were on offer so I thought I'd give it a go. It was chicken with quinoa, broccoli and carrots. As soon as I opened it, the smell was horrific. The broccoli tasted like sprouts. Soon explains why they were on offer.
Overall the food diary was good. I went to boot camp and body pump, which makes the 4th day in a row at the gym

My boyfriend's parents are coming up this weekend. Hopefully it shouldn't be too bad of a weekend since I have more control over what I'm eating and drinking
