Time to stick with it!!

Thanks girls for stopping by! I always like to hear what's working for you. I looked into other meeting times at WW so I can weigh-in a different day but there wasn't anything available that I could make it to. They had some drop in times without meetings but the meetings really help. So, I'm just going to have to work harder at sticking to it on the weekends and maybe make Friday night my cheat night so I have the whole weekend to work it off. Hopefully I'll be down today but only time will tell. Besides the slip up I think I did pretty good this past week so I will continue the journey whatever the results.
Juni about the pickles - we bought a bunch of baby cucumbers fresh from a friends garden and washed them all in the sink. Then we steralized the jars and seals. On a pot on the stove we added 3 cups pickling vinegar, 3 cups water, 1 cup pickling salt - coarse salt and a little bit of sugar. Then we cut up garlic and dill and some baby carrots and filled the jars with all that and the cucumbers and once the mixture was boiling we added it to the jars and sealed them tight. Let them sit for about 2-4 weeks and then enjoy!! I just opened a jar last week and they are sooo good! The skin is still a bit hard but super crunchy - and only a couple calories, they make a great snack!
My mood is slowing getting better this week as the weekend approaches. Yesterday was a good day and I was super strict since it's the day before weigh-in, kinda like saying in my head "last change workout" like they do on biggest loser.
Here's how it looked:
B- ff activia yogurt w all bran buds
Snack - 3 cups mint green tea
L - life smart brand frozen chicken primivara (4 WW points)
Snack - med banana
Exercise - 1 hr spinning class - 50 min bike, 5 min abs-standing abs, planks, push-ups, 5 min stretch
D - big salad - no lettuce as I was out, 2 baby cucumbers chopped, 3 roma tomatos chopped, 1/4 cup black olives, 1/2 red grapes sliced, sweet onion, 3 hard boiled egg whites chopped w tsp olive oil & tbs balsamic vinegar
Snack - can you guess? 1 point peanut butter bar, decaf green tea black
So I was under my daily points by 8 but I needed to make up some points that I went over on the weekend. I'll check back after lunch to see how it all results to the scale! Cross your fingers for me :seeya:

Whoa, that salad sounds amazing! Do you just make up your own? Yummm :) When is it that you do your weigh ins? (I have read your journal but I can't remember). I do mine on Friday mornings. This gives me motivation to be GOOD on the weekend :) And being away at college, it also makes me careful during the week because when I get home, it's time to get on the scale! Do you weigh yourself first thing in the morning or later in the day? I do mine first thing in the morning. I'm not sure when the best time to do it is?

I stressed for nothing! Down 1.8 pounds this week! I'm officially in the 150's! 159.4 to be exact! I guess I just have to relax and not stress over the small stuff. My mom thinks I'm crazy because I call her all the time telling her I'm doing so bad and then Wednesday comes and I'm still losing. I have to learn to just go with the flow.
Anyway I'm so pumped!

Yeah I usually just throw whatever I have in my fridge into my salads - try to make them not get boring so I switch up the dressing lots too. I would like to do my weigh-in Friday but there isn't a WW meeting that works with my schedule so I think I'm just going to stick to Wednesday lunch weigh-ins. I think first thing in the morning is the best time to weigh myself but my group meeting isn't until noon so that's why I'm never sure what I'm going to weigh since it's always different than what my home scale says in the morning. I try to keep my Wednesday morning schedule the same every week so I don't have any major differences in my body before I go and weigh-in. I even wear the same outfit every Wednesday but think I'm going to have to change that soon because the capris are a little too cool now to be wearing them - it's like winter already here!

Yayayay!! Congratulations on the loss!! You are doing so good. So proud of you.

Gonna try making the pickle myself soon. Also, great salad recipe. Sounds good. Wanna make it now (although I've already had dinner AND snack). Lol!!

Keep up the good work!!!

All in all pretty good I think. I've been so busy at work today so I haven't had a chance to look at anyone else's journals but tomorrow should be nice and relaxing so I will catch up then!
Have a good night everyone!

Ok another good day down in the books.

Have been forgetting to put on my pedometer and think it might have gone missing - will have to look for it this weekend.
Been feeling pretty good but still wish I could wake up tomorrow and weight 140 pounds - not 159.4. I want to go clothes shopping because all my work clothes are way to big on me and they look sloppy - makes me not feel as good as I could but.. I want to get into a size 10 before I start buying new clothes because I don't want to be a size 12 for long. I bought a couple cheap things from Zellers but that was more like jeans and a couple sweaters and I have to dress up for work. Wish I could trade in all my clothes and get them a size or two smaller without spending any money. Or I wish I knew how to sew so I could take some things in. Oh well, I'll get to the size 10 in the next couple weeks or month and then get to do some shopping.
Hope everyone has a great weekend! Time to update the Halloween challenge.:waving:

Hey CG

I was thinking that it would be cool to get a bunch of 'dieters' together to swap clothes. There'd be a whole chain of people that fit other peoples old stuff, and if you were too small for everything that would be great!
You'd know that if you got too small for the clothes to quick then it down't really matter cause you didn't pay for them.....

anyway, I think it'd be good for you to buy one outfit that fits really well right now, its so motivational to be feeling good about how you look....or if you wait then the biiig shopping trip at the end would be very cool too:biggrinjester:

Thanks Ana,
I think that's a great idea about swapping clothes but it would be hard to organize. This time around I'm going to save all my bigger clothes because I plan to have some babies one day and will need some maternity clothes - so for now they are going in plastic bins and stored in the garage.
I think after this week I might go and buy a nice outfit for work - I deserve it!
Otherwise I will have a big shopping spree once I get to goal! Can't wait for that!

Weekend was successful - sortof
My fiance found out Friday at noon that he had to go out of town for work all weekend so that really sucked. It was rainy, cold and miserable all weekend so I rented some movies and kept it low key.
I forgot my food journal at home so I can't tell you exactly what I had but to sum it up - Friday & Saturday were very good, only 1 glass of red wine Friday and no bad snacks. I took Saturday off from exercise to give my body a rest and then Sunday morning I did an hour spin class and 30 min of laps in the pool - was feeling great. I was going to get groceries because my fridge was empty but I decided I would have soup for dinner Sunday night and then get groceries Monday but when I went to get soup we were all out and I wasn't sure what to make so I ended up snacking all evening! Triscuts & cheese, triscuts & jam, 1 point bars times 4!, fiance's granola bars - not healthy, covered in chocolate, cereal and what else, probably more. So Sunday night was once again not good and I have another bad stomach ache today. I'm not going to stress because I know that by Wednesday at noon I can get back on track and still be down. I was going to start wearing my pedometer again today but forgot that too. I couldn't get out of bed this morning and I know it's partly because of all the junk I had in my system making me feel sluggish. Hopefully my aerobics tonight will burn off some of those snacks!
Time to check on how everyone else made out.

Good job on keeping up with the work outs- especially swimming! That is a great workout. I'm jealous you can keep up for 30 minutes! I'm worn out after 5!! Mostly because my asthma kicks in LOL but I'm also a TERRIBLE swimmer! Keeps ya strong tho :) Also nice job with eating on the weekend... isn't it getting easier to drink less? I would gulp down 7 beers no problem and I could barley handle one and a half this weekend! Crazy! The Sunday night snack down sounded like fun! lol As you read in my diary I had my own little binge too but it's OK just as long as it doesn't turn to habit! You are doing great, keep it up!!! :)

Monday is over and I'm back on track. I love the work weeks lately because I'm in such a routine and nothing can stop me. I just wish I liked my job more and didn't sit on my butt so much during the day.

My sister and her friend joined WW too so I have some more people to swap tips with. Loving the motivation and continued support of everyone!! time to catch up on some journals from the weekend and see how everyone else made out. Work has been busy so I haven't been visiting as much as I would like. Hope everyone is doing good and keeping active! I have a long weekend coming up and I can't wait!! time to do some celebrating from all this hard work!

Another good weigh-in!

I was down 1.6 pounds today for a total of 16 pounds! Feeling pretty great. I'm wearing the size 10 skirt I bougtht for $10 too and that feels extra great! Hopefully I can keep it up during Thanksgiving this weekend. I'm so looking forward to the long weekend.
Does anyone have any suggestions or experiences with taking fish oils? I have been told by a few ladies that I should take them for weight loss. I have read that sometimes you taste fish after or burp it up and I don't think I would like that but if it's something I should be taking that might help then maybe I will consider it. Any thoughts?
Yesterday was a good day, here's how it looked:
B - raspberry yogurt w all bran buds
Snack - 3 cups mint green tea
L - garden salad with ff tomato & oregano dressing
Snack - curves peanut butter bar (100cal, 4 grams fibre)
Exercise - 1 hr spinning class, 50 min bike, 10 min abs & stretch
D - 1 whole egg, 1/2 cup egg whites, 1 left over veggie burger, sweet onion, red pepper & ketchup, little bit of spray pan.
Snack - decaf green tea, 4 roma tomatos w salt & pepper, curves peanut butter bar
Total steps 10073.
I was under my points but trying to end the week good before weigh-in. I have lots coming up this weekend and lots of temptations so I am going to finish the week strong and work out lots over the weekend so I at least don't gain but I don't anticipate a loss. I'm just happy right now with 16 and will keep pushing!

Hey CG

I took fish oil for a little while but got fishy burps eeew! So now I try to have fish in my food. I try to have salmon sushi of tinned fish on a salad about 3 times a week. Its really filling low fat protein. yum

Sounds like you did really well on the weekend.

Ana

Nice job girl!!! You're doing so good! :) 16 pounds lost must feel amazing!!! I can't wait to get to that point. Keep up the good work, I'm excited to see how you measure up next week :) Have a great weekend and try to avoid all those temptations as much as you can... but not completely.... enjoy some of them because you deserve it!!! :)

~ Sarah

Interesting fact about fish oil. I used to take fish oil as a kid and remember the fishy burbs all too well. I understand fish oils are good for you, but would love to learn more frm those who have had first hand experience as well.

CG, nice going on 16 lbs. You must bee feeling so so good!!! Yay!! New clothes sound like a great idea. You deserve to pamper yourself a lil bit. 16 lbs is no joke. Good luck!!

Juni, Sara and Ana thanks for your kind words - I should be feeling so great and with clothes on I do but I feel even less sexy undressed lately. I know it's going to take time to tone everything up but because I was so big for so long I have lots of stretch marks and loose skin and I can't even look at myself in the mirror. My fiance doesn't get it because he thinks I'm beautiful inside and out and my sex drive should be through the roof with the weight loss and feeling better about myself but I can't even think about sex and getting naked and having him see my gross stomach - doesn't that sound ridiculous. I know it's silly but I was really upset last night when we were getting busy and all I could think about was how gross I looked and needed to put a t-shirt on. The mood was lost to say the least. I was upset because I hated how I felt about myself and felt horrible for ruining the mood. My fiance just didn't get it. Maybe I need to buy some sexy lingerie so feel better about myself. I thought losing weight would make me feel better but it doesn't seem to be helping in that area and I'm just wondering if when I get to my goal and tone myself up more if I will feel better or always feel this way. I wish I could feel comfortable getting dressed or undressed in front of my finance or jump in the shower and surprise him one day. Anyway that's just what's on my mind today and I'm not feeling so hot.
Back to the fish pills - two experiences below with fishy burps and I think I have decided I'm not going to buy them. Thanks girls.
Yesterday was a good day:
Exercise - 25 min biggest loser cardio max dvd
B - ff yogurt w all bran buds
Snack - 2 cups mint green tea
L - 6inch veggie sub, Subway, 9 grain bread, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red onion, black olives, mustard- no cheese, no mayo (that's what I would normally have on it - this way it was only 4 WW points).
Exercise - 1 hr aerobics class - intervals with body bar (12lbs - was afraid to increase to 15lbs but realized I could have so I will for sure next time!) and slidders - those really work the inside thigh for 50 min and 10 min abs, stretch.
D - 3 whole wheat fish sticks (9 WW points), 1/4 bag yam fries (4 WW points), ketchup, decaf green tea
No snacks tonight! I was full and satisfied after dinner and went to bed early.
I didn't drink as much water today as I should have and still haven't gotten groceries! Tonight we are going for sure!

hey cg-its great to see your weight loss progress!!!! kudos to you for staying on track.

Sorry to hear about the turn of events with ur fiance. Try not to be so hard on yourself though. You are working really hard to maintain a healthy lifestyle and thats really all that matters. i know seeing pictures of slim and sexy models plastered everywhere we go makes it hard to focus on the good things about our bodies... but you are REAL -and THAT makes you beautiful. you have a great smile too!!!
