The thing was, i was good, i ate mostly veges, so calorie wise i only just hit 1500, stomach wise .... bad bad move lol.

If any of my posts today are missing the odd letter, my keyboard is playing up. Mostly the d key just stops working.

Feeling better today but im tired from lack of sleep last night (no major reason, just couldnt sleep). Anyway so im working from home :D

indeed yucky. Actually my tummy is still feeling odd even now.

So ive decided to try harder to re-quit smoking. I rang up some support people and organized some patches. I *REALLY* need to quit because im close to my operation goal.
Im not gonna be smoking and having surgery, its a bad move. Not to mention giving my brother a kidney thats blackened with tar or whatnot.

Grrr i had this quitting smoking licked until xmas. I had been clean for 2 years! now ive been on it 3 months and its time to kick some ass.
Im beginning to notice it in the gym now, getting wheezy after cardio or running etc. NOT GOOD!

Anyway thats my news for today.

Great idea!! Smart move ringing the support people.

For sure you will do this and be very happy with yourself about it.

Think of how clean and healthy you will feel when you've quit smoking. Your breath will be fresh and your clothes will no longer have that smoky odour. No more wheezing, no more coughing, no more adding to your health risks.
I'm really sensitive about this issue, because my grandfather died of lung cancer caused by decades of smoking. He quit smoking over night when he was diagnosed, about 30 years too late... His opinions on smoking which he told me just before he died (I was about 5 years old at the time) have greatly influenced me. So I'm the first to support anybody who's trying to quit. And nowadays you have so many things that make it easier, use them!
You can do it!

Howdy Wishes,
I wish you all the luck on trying to stop smoking I wish my hubby would do the same he has very bad asthma and he coughs all night long and it kills me to see him smoke a cigg then put it out and then puff on his inhailer. His uncle just passed away yesterday morning and it was do to cancer and that was caused from smoking he was 57 :( !
Just take baby steps like I told him I know after a meal, sex, break at work limit it to those at 1st not quit cold turkey.Well I hope you have a nice Thursday Tammy:)

Wishes - with what you've accomplished, there is NO doubt in my mind that you can kick those cigs for good!

Yeah i have a friend whos so bad she can barely breath. She got an exercycle and can do a whole 2 minutes (yes 90-120 seconds!)
When shes done 2 mins she ges off huffing and puffing wheezing like a 95 year old. Its scarey because shes only 45.

Hehe you dont have to preech to the converted here :)
Ive known its horrid for years.

Good luck with kicking the ciggies, wishes.

Fortunately, I never bothered with smoking so I never had to beat the addiction, but friends of mine have been through it with mixed results. From what I can make out, the deciding factor is determination - and from what I know of you, you have bagfulls of that!

If you put your mind to it, I know you will succeed :)

HI Wishes, just stopping by....everyone's right, you can totally kick the habit! Your a strong woman! You have no idea the great future your giving yourself and all the problems your preventing by quitting.

I'm proud of you :)

Good luck with stopping smoking. It is really hard but you can do it.

The one thing that has helped me to stay stopped was that I smoke my last one somewhere really memorable & if I ever smoke another one, then I can't say that my last cig was on the second level of the Eiffel Tower (no you aren't allowed to smoke up there, but I was pissed off in Paris...what was a gal to do...so I smoked to calm down then realized I was smoking on THE tower & who else could say that.. so that was such a special smoke I decided it was my last.).

So yeah. Be determined. Know exactly when that last one is & celebrate it. Its an end to that life & the begining of this one.

GOOD LUCK.

....get lotsa gum. helped me.

by the way that last smoke was July 2001. :)

no lecture here...........ya did it once.........you know the drill!!!
I have been smoke free now for 9.... count em........9 years!!! it was hard but not as hard as loosing this fat!!!! Not even close!!! so i figure once i loose this fat.......shit... there wont be nothin I can't do... eh??!!!;) Close to sugery goal huh!! Wowza ya must be a little anxious there!!! I said it once and I'll say it again your a hell of a sister girl!!!

well im offically on the 20 hour famine (like the 40 hour famine only for younger kids ... my daughters are doing it)
So as of 7pm im nil by mouth other than water till tomorrow arvo.

I added a few extra kcal today to make up for what ill lack tomorrow (all of breakfast and lunch lol)

We started at 7pm rather than 6 because we had a wedding to go too, and the reception started at 6pm lol.
Nothing like starving whilst everyone around you eats at a wedding! Anyway i told the girls we will be.

what is the purpose behind that? i think i will have a 40 hour famine sometime. Just to test my willpower. Good luck. Make sure you get to enjoy at least 1 bad thing before you go on the famine. (icecream, cheeseburger, etc.)

Good luck quitting the butts and good luck with your famine. I once did a 50 hour famine in high school. There was a christian club doing it for 40 hours and they challenged the pagan club to meet or beat them (we all had sponsors that paid by the hour). We beat them! And afterwords we had a big christian pagan pizza party and decided that we were the only people in the world that could bridge the religious gap for a better cause. I think our money went to help children disenfranchised in Bosnia. Are your kids doing it for a cause? And I think its awesome that you participate with your children on things like this, most parents wouldn't even pay attention.

congrats on deciding to quit smoking - like everything else -once you're ready to do it - you'll be able to... and as determined as you are in other aspects of your life -you'll kick this as well...

good luck with it...
