Wishes, you're doing an awesome job!!!!! I think 15 lbs was completely reasonable especially since you didn't know how you'd be feeling this month. I know what you mean about getting back into the working out groove. I only worked out once this week. (not including walking around a pumpkin park for three hours) LOL
Keep up the great work!!!

How's the foot and the sleeping going??

the foot is fantastic - went to the chemist and she found me some cream that has something for the rash and the athletes foot and within 2 days its pretty much gone and ive slept well for 2 nights in a row now! :D

On another more fantastic note, i took the plunge! i entered a cycling race!
1 lap of lake rotorua (42km .. mostly flat) and i do it in 3 weeks!
I dont expect to place anywhere, but if i can do it in the 2 hours 30 mins required i will be very happy!

Then i hope to work my way up to the 100km ride from rotorua to taupo (see for these places) later on this year (december i think)

Ive bought a new helmet and ive sorted my road bike out. Im finally down to 110kg which is my goal to be able to ride my road racing bike (i didnt want to break it with my weight earlier) so now i have to workout hard on the legs to get them into shape more over the next 3 weeks!

And i realize i havnt posted any motivational vids for you guys lately because i moved from laptop to another machine at home (and all the links are on the laptop) so i found this mp3 for you all to have a chuckle at.

42K ?!?! you are amazing kiwi. hehe, you'll people rooting for ya halfway around the globe. Hook us with any vidoe of the event afterwards, be cool to see some of that.

Wow, that sounds like so much fun. Now you're in for it wishes, I'm going to be pushin' ya just like I do with FGT lol. I know you'll do fine... I wish I had the time, that ride sounds like a lot of fun!

I'd love to do the 100 k ride.
 
Yeah i wasnt sure i would be up to 100km just yet so ill see how i do the 42km one.

If that goes fine then ill enter into the 100km one. I just dont want to over do it and enter myself into something im nowhere near ready for :)

I had to buy a bike rack for my van so i can get to Rotorua (its about 3 hours south of here, but they are the hub for all things cycling in NZ).

Im so PISSED OFF!

Is 3am atm - ive been in bed since 9pm! STILL NO SLEEP!
I did have my alarm set for 5am but ive since changed it to 6.30 - ill do an hour on the exercycle till 7.30am.

I have NO idea why i cant sleep - I just cant! Even the herbal stuff i usually take to help hasnt worked! I slept fine over the weekend!.

Im wondering if its lack of exercise thats made me insomniac - having been off for a couple weeks. So today (i mean later on today) I plan on an hour exercycle in the morning then another hour or more in the gym at night. A long hot bath and early night with 2 herbal sleeping pills. If im not sleeping after an hour ill be up for another hours exercise then try again. Im gonna repeat that until i sleep!

For now im gonna read a mag, and hope like hell i can sleep.
Maybe a glass of milk and piece of toast (kinda hungry now after 6 hours laying in bed tossing and turning)

5.20am - just finished an hour of exercycle (got bored waiting for sleep ... not even close)
Im watching "The Sentinel" which helps pass the time. The Gym opens in 10 mins so I might go press some weights.

6.30am - Just got back from 45 mins doing weights and still wide awake ... hope im gonna be able to do work today - oh well :/

1pm - still awake - burnt 1000 calories on exercise alone today and ill probably burn another hour on the exercycle with any luck later on.
Cant sleep now - everyone at work NEEDS me.

Im geting grumpy now after 30odd hours no sleep :/

you are getting sleepy.... so very sleepy... you will finally close your eyes, sleep well... continue to kick ass @ the gym..... smoke the bike ride... and ummm win the lottery and give half to mikey
 
only half? id pay that to be able to sleep!

lol Funnily enough i have done some serious hypnosis both on myself and others and wanted to become a hypnotherapist at one point (the nearest course was 200km away though).
 
Okay well last night at 7.30pm i fell asleep - i slept through till 7am this morning.

I know this seems unresonable but i was sleep deprived and angst yesterday and wondering why the heck nobody was posting to my diary thread (other than mike). I was in desperate need of support. Being overtired is one of my triggers that makes me eat. Luckily i got past that fine, though being awake so much longer i did eat more in general because going 12 hours through the night without eating is an impossiblity. I still only just made 1500 calories for the day. And considering the exercise i did out of boredome im fine with that.

For future reference, just because a person doesnt ask for support - doesnt mean they dont need it. It just means they arnt always very good at asking for it, or dont want to come accross as being a whiney needy sleep deprived cow :)

Well I had KFC for dinner tonight, but i didnt go over the calorie limit. Though The fatty ness was pretty yuk and i did peel of the skin off one piece.
I was gonna ride my bike to work today, it was a beautiful day nice and sunny but i ended up with no time once i had dropped the kids off. Work has moved and now its no longer a 7km ride but more like a 9-10kim ride (ill measure it sometime this week).

I bought a new seat for my racing bike which im now permitting myself to ride (now im down to a much more decent weight! Horay!)

I missed the gym this morning - alarm went off and i was happily making up time sleeping from my insomnia. I hit the alarm button and went back to sleep for another couple of hours till 7.
I did 30 mins on the bike tonight, ill probably hit the gym tomorrow morning presuming i sleep well tonight (which i should do with any luck).
 
Ima whiskey gal.. hate champange tastes like fizzy boot water to me. Bleh!

Sounds like you did well in the face of the KFC. I can't not eat the skin.. it's just wrong and defeats the point of getting fried chicken! lol... thats why we don't get it anymore. Too tempting. Although they are opening a Popeye's Chicken on the part of town closest to us... so my non fried chicken streak may be ending soon. :eek:

Insomnia is like Impotence, it happens once and then every time you go to bed you think 'oh no ... am i going to be able to sleep' and you worry yourself into not sleeping.

I sat on the exerycycle for 30 mins before bed and it helped heaps, i slept fine and ....
I GOT UP FOR THE GYM!
I did the hardest workout and my arms are gonna pay for the rest of the week lol.
No weight lost this week at all so far since last monday. I can understand - ive been slacking a bit - though no gain so its all good.
Ive got back on my water thing since i havnt been drinkin much.

Mike, ill drink beer with you any day (ok any day maybe in a couple years)!
Peq: yeah whiskey is good, a mate of mine brews his own and makes the best bourbon you ever tasted! It makes me giggly - i think he strains it through weed or something! :)
