Congrats W!! That's fab! Glad you slept well AND did the gym thing. Hope your arms don't fall off!! ;):D

Never tasted home brew whiskey sounds like fun...lol I'm Jack Daniels fan or Canadian club. We got ahold of some homemade elderberry wine that tasks just like whisky.. but strong stuff!!

Yes! sleeping AND the gym!
Arms are feeling less sore now - im low on calories because there isnt much in the cuboard. What i cooked for everyone else was not ok for me to eat (fatty spagetti and meatballs - and i cant eat mince). So i had the last 2 eggs on toast which leaves me sitting at 1000 cal for the day (well ok just under)
So im heading over to my best friends place to have a bar of choccy and a smoke (social smoker .. only when i can bludge one).

Today my new bike rack came so i can attack the bike to the van, took a bit to work out how to use it but it goes fine now its all adjusted for it. The super duper overly huge remote controlled boat i bought for my husband turned up also today - hes ecstatic. its charging now (god isnt that the most annoying thing about rechargeable stuff! no playing with new toy for 10 hours!)

Anyway, heading off now. Chow to everyone *hugs* etc

Insomnia is like Impotence, it happens once and then every time you go to bed you think 'oh no

rotf

Well I'm glad you got some sleep. Had me worried there for a bit. I think it's awesome you'll be biking more.I checked out a few cycling New Zealand sites. The scenery is amazing. I'd love to tour there someday.

Well guys I am just copying and pasting this for everyone. Trying to keep up and not having a lot of time. So I'll make it short and sweet. Hope you are having a wonderful day!!

Im 33 years old and ive never been overseas, i would love to go and visit - but to be honest i just *love* NZ and the scenery. Most of the rides ive been looking at are scenic and out on open roads in the middle of nowhere.
Im going to try and get in some tramping with the family if we can this year also.

Im currently looking at joining another race. Its run by Sarah Ulmer (gold medal cyclist) who is like my idol,. The problem is that the Auckland race is mid febuary and i suspect I will be going in for surgery around that time. I dont want to do marathon races just days before or after the surgery so im debating entering the Cambridge one which is about 200km away and its in November.

Now I have tents, jersey, bike rack, helmet, everything i need except spare tyres - And i had the weirdest dream that i had a flat tyre and no spare tyres last night :/
So now i just need to work out what kind of tyre my bike uses (i know its 26" but it looks to be all in one tubeless style thing) and buy some that fit.

Ive noticed my eating is becomming more bottom heavy lately also so im trying to eat more in the morning again and less in the evening. I was down to like 500cal for breakfast and lunch or less and the rest at dinnertime :/
Also the water thing ... i kinda stopped drinkin like im supposed to, so im making a valiant effort to drink a LOT more.
Im skipping curry tonight (the fortnightly ) and having fish n chips with the family at the park. Im taking the bike to practise riding it about some and test the bike rack out.

Husband is going to test his new remote controlled boat in the lake whilst i ride around it :D

If I lived in NZ I'd choose not to leave either - when i hit the loto i'll have to come see you & have you show me around..lol Probably best not to sign up for a race days before/after your surgery.. that could be painful. Is the other race this coming Nov?.. or next year? Good Luck!

I'm no help with the tire thing - i usually just call and have my daddy fix things for me..lol Not that I can't - just that I choose not to..lol ;)

Welp W, hope you get your bottom heavy day figured out, have fun at the lake and hope the hubby enjoys his new toy (men  .lol) Oh.. and drink your water!!! :D

*headbangs to Highway to Hell on the way out* .|..|

sounds like your all set bike wise wishes... a November race might be a good thing for ya. It;ll give you time to mend, and then train... then of course kick some major ass in the race :)

Have a wonderful day, and enjoy your ride

Pequin! if you ever come to NZ make sure you let me know! Ill show you around the place and put you up! :D

You too Mike :D

hey there wishes, sounds like you are still rockin it..........NZ sounds like a beautiful place...........alas i have never been over seas either......actually i'v never flown in a plane....so i guess i am lame, although i did fly in a hot air balloon, so i guess that makes me not lame just a late bloomer!!!!:D ;) keeep up the awsome job sister!!!! STAR

Ohhhh I always wanted to do a hot air balloon! It would be SOOO cool!

Ive been on a plane a couple times - but that was like when i was a baby (once) or teenager(twice). They are exciting at first but then after 30-60 mins boring as buggery , and then exciting again as you land and then its over.
