Hey Randy, Hope your doing well and I too will miss the chats with Sis. She was truly one of a kind and even though she was so sick she still had a great sense of humor and always knew how to make me laugh even when i wasn't feeling good. Oh and the chats with Sexy and Kiwi and them when i was pregnant with my son where funny too though at the time i didn't think that much was funny.. haha. I miss having the fun we all did in poker but things and times changed a lot.

Anyways, i did have some questions about your truck drivng if your still doing it or when you did? my husband is seriously considering doing this truck driving thing and i want to make sure we make the best choices before just jumping into schools and what not. So if you have any recommendations on companies or schools please let me know. Thanks oh yeah, ajfavegrl is my sn on yahoo so you can always send me a message there too. talk to you soon and take care.

I'm glad Sis passed in Hawaii--better than most places. Cancer is something we all deal with at some point...my girl friend Meghan died at 19 from Hodgkin's in her lungs...it was a shock to us all (circle of friends) as we were her age or within a year or two, back in 2002. I'll still smoke a bowl on her grave marker, which is right near my parent's house in the East Bay. She has "420 Boo" engraved on it...which I thought was interesting and pretty neat. It is in that cemetery that nearby, there is a marker of a man named "Mack Johnson". I forever think that is one of the coolest names for a man....besides "Randy," of course.

Glad you had a good weekend.

Yeah Val, ain't it the truth. Totally unavoidable and everyone has a story. I love your tribute to her :) Just reading '420 Boo' made me grin from ear to ear :) I drove a Mack at one time and my best man was named (last name) Mack, did my coolness increase any ?? if that were at all possible *turns on the monitor defroster* ha !!

Sorry Heather, I didn't mean to omit you from the ps/chat freak story about Sis and Sexy - forgive me :( Yes, you're so right, time does change. I'm glad some of us can change right along with it :)

Well a lot depends on a lot, as they say. Your dh can get schooled by most major companies for 'free' but free has a lot of strings attached to it.

If it's clear in your marital minds that his long periods away (2 to 4 weeks at a time) are ok, then take up the opportunity with a major company. It's free only if you fulfill their contract. If for whatever reason he doesn't live up to the agreed contract in terms of completion, the company will make you pay back all sorts of incurred cost they shelled out - usually in the thousands of dollars.

Most companies require one year of uninterrupted employment to satisfy an equal balance of the school cost. They pretty much own you that year too. If they make him stay out for 6 solid weeks, you have to suck it up or do what many do - quit and repay. It really is a catch 22. There are several trucking message boards with tons of horror stories on this subject.

I personally, in you guys' situation with youngin(s ??) at home, opt for a conventional trucking school through his G.I. bill entitlements. This may give you the flexibility to find a better local opportunity but local jobs are hard to get without over-the-road experience also but not always the case.

Do lots of research and for gawd sakes, communicate the highs and lows of this profession with each other. Mid-late 20's with wife and children are NOT much of a success combination in this industry.

Oh yes, and I posted a bunch of pictures of my nice house and my cats and me just now, if you want to see me with kinky hair! :D

Yum !! pussy pics :) how could I refuse ??

Hi Trucker, just doing a Monday check in! I cancelled the trip to NC for this upcoming weekend... so I'm definitely free for a Sunday bike ride. Any takers?

Well of course I'd be the 'taker' however I have only one small request. Can I call you Nicolette ?? just once ?? :p

Talk to ya later :)

hi Randy! Afternoon Love! :beating:

Good Morning. Val :) You're kinky hair is quite sexy but then you'd look sexy with any style, I would imagine. Is there any way for you not to be sexy ?? Nah, I didn't think so either :)

Dropping in to say hello. I have had some loss myself. A week and half ago my bro-in-law passed away and I just wanted you to know that I feel for you!!:hug2:

Hi Mechelle. Sorry for your loss as well. When is your new av going to arrive ?? *hint hint* :p

Nicollette? Ok, just once though! How about Sunday...let's shoot for that day? How's the weather looking?

The weather will NOT be an excuse !! 73 and sunny for Sunday, so you'll need a different bawk bawk reason :p

It's show time, Nicole. Strap on your sense of adventure or forever hold your peace. I'm looking forward to this.

Hey handsome!! Hope your day is a good one. lots of love!
The MALL RAT!
:hug2:

hehe, how can I not rep a chick that calls me handsome ??

Been really busy with a project here and will be for another day or two. I'm luv'n it, doing all these things I couldn't do for oh-so-long. If I died today, I'd go out with a smile knowing I accomplished something in my life. My weight loss has meant that much to me.

gotta jet. rep to all.

I will do it soon. I haven't been thinking very clearly about getting on with life. I even feel pretty guilty to have an ok day, because I know my sister isn't and won't be for a while. So I have been down in the dumps and need to pull myself together. Death at anytime sucks, but at a younger age.....there are just no words!!:(

Meep meep! Just popping in to support one of my fav WLF peoples :)

Anyway, flying visits!

Hopefully I can keep up with you!

Piece of cake :) Fear not.

haha, you did a rim shot in my diary. omfg, the nicky battle again !! This project I've been on has put me about as close as I can get to wanting to quit (again). Yes, it IS worse than weight loss, we can agree on that. After all, it is something we enjoy and geezus, who wants to give up one more thing on our list ??

Thanks for bring your 'brains' in here for a change *grins*

Any bike rides lately?

No, Your Sweetness. No time. Sunday for sure !! weeeee !! I can't wait :jump:

You smoke?:eek2: Oh Randy.....:( No good! That's like, cheating! Ah, well, no one is perfect. I smoked from 14 to 19, myself, but I honestly never LIKED it, so it was easy to give it up for good. Save for a few blunts since then.

Enjoy your Sunday ride, I'll be running! :D

Cheating life, maybe. If I can gain a shitload of weight while smoking, then smoking while losing it is fair game, I would think.

I'm a passive smoker. I quit in 1997 to 2000 and I gained 100 lbs at least. I did really good with the no-smoking thing right up until the divorce and said fuck it. Honestly, obesity bothered me 100x worse than smoking ever did.

Yum, blunt:30 :)

its funny though, though im having only slightly more than the odd social smoke, i do notice a huge difference in the cycling and asthma stuff etc due to it.
Dunno about you, i guess i do want it but i dont, the whole dieing early gets to me - especially when ya have kids.
But again im only human and im gonna slip up, its weather i can kick it in the nuts again when i do slip up that counts eh :)

Same goes for you im sure. But yeah its harder to kick when on limited calories because you do tend to eat when you quit :/

So cool. Nicole made the trip up here today :)

God bless her determination, she grinded out 19 miles on the trail. I'm so proud of her.

I'll write more about the day later but just wanted to let you know she made the trip and the day was a completely good time.

** Rumor has it there may be a picture or three out there somewhere
:p

Oh my gosh, I have to say I worked my a$$ off yesterday. I'm glad I persevered, with Randy's encouragement, to go the full 19 miles. WOW. I literally have a huge pain in the ass today...affectionately known as the "triangle of pain." I had a great time!

You both look fantastic in that picture!! two beautiful people and that's a fact!! GOOD FOR YOU getting in that long bike ride. Keep it going friends, you guys are amazing!!! :jump:
