OH how cute!!! I love the pics, and that's so awesome that WLF people can get together and exercise and stuff. You two look so good! Hey, Nicole, what's Randy like in real life????

Exactly how I expected him to be... very nice and kind with deep insights and bouts of seriousness ;-) He even checked my bike tire for me so I didn't get a flat on the trail. We ran into his daughter, quite accidentally, and so she joined us for dinner. She's quite a character, so made me laugh. The two of them together a hoot and have a very special bond. I wish I was that close with my dad!

I'm leaving work very shortly. Have a great day!

She forgot to mention I swear too much. Nicole extended a little latitude to my former profession as a trucker. I was out of my league with a classy woman such as Nicole. I'm more accustomed to bar sluts and party girls.

Nicole may be the least judgmental female I ever met.

The fact that Mel hooked up with us for dinner was a treat and a half. I think Nicole learned more about me through Mel than she would've otherwise :p

Ummm I fall under the "party girl" category..... on the weekends, hell... that's a different story. HAHA jk

I'm glad you and Nicole had a great trail ride, doll. I saw your pics and you both look fantastic. :) Wishing you a great day, handsome...

That's so awesome that you two got to bike together and all; thanks for posting the pics! (Randy, it's nice to see a photo of you out in the sunshine, smiling:))

Yeah ok, my serious side.

So I see an ad in our local rag, I kinda know ahead of time it's a telemarketing gig but I'm bored and I still have these flashbacks about work and all so I call out there this morning. I gets me an appointment at 2:15pm today.

I walk into the podfest and see a couple chicks I know. We do the meet-n-greet blah blah blah...

Dewayne - the asst. manager, cuts in, he ask me if I'm ready to interview, I said yep.

Dewayne is a crotch hound by all measures. If anything screams the loudest, it's his apparent lust for filling pods with teens and early-20 something babes. I'm pretty much screwed. About the fourth time he snapped his hair back like a rockstar I was ready to leave.

His rehearsed speel is spot-on, leading to this question: "Why should I hire you??"

I didn't miss a beat with this reply: "Because I'm fucking cooler than you ??"

That was an awkward silence, lemme tell ya. I'm not sure how I kept a straight face because he was reading me for the (hopeful) upcoming grin.

He actually fended it off though and told me I'd have to stay for one of those 'personality test' and I'd get a call in a week or two.

ya right.

Way to go!! I sometimes wish I would pipe and say what I am thinking, but when I do it usually back fires on me. I am such a smart _ _ _ that when my kids do something like that I usually laugh while I am saying don't tlak like that! But you have attitude and that is too funny. Keep up the good lines!!:rotflmao:

ahh those wanky silly questions on interviews are funny if you give them it right back. The last chick at my work was hired because of her answer
the question was 'what do you see in the mirror when you look into it' - the suckups all answer 'a great hard working employee ..'' etc yada yada
she answered 'a princess from out of space!'
she was hired on the spot - anyone with a sense of humour like that is gonna fit in :D
and she does - shes the best person we hired so far :D

George Carlin gets paid well for being a smart ass, me on the other hand, gets zero dollars for it. A girl that works out there told me yesterday my app got thrown in the garbage before I left the building. Mission accomplished.

I'm sure in a much more serious job I'll respond properly - I hope.

It's nice to see a real human being break out of the sheeple crowd :) The underbelly of humor is truth mainly. At least you know what you're getting from this chick ya hired.

There's a great tv commercial running in America right now (youtube this: FedEx Kinkos: The Office Meeting Commercial ). What makes this so hilarious is it's a statement about finding out the 'real you' long after that interview question list you bullshitted through in the office manager's eyes.

Hey Randy! This bud's for you! :sifone:

Thank you, Val !! smoke 'em if ya got 'em, bum 'em if ya don't !!

or another old hippie speak we use to say was: I friend with weed is a friend indeed :)

Checking in! The weekend certainly got away from me....and now back to the grindstone. Hope you're having a great week so far!

Hi Nicole :)

It's been a very strong week indeed. I'm pretty sure yesterday ends the biking deal for the season up here. I wish I would've kept track of the mileage for the six months I rode. I think it would be close to a trip across America.

I wanted to thank you for giving me the ambition to take on a much-needed revamping of my apt. You launched me into no longer smoking indoors and my intake has subsided considerably - more than 50% less. I also weight probably 5 lbs less since our shared ride together. So many positives spun off of your visit here. I'm glad you lived up to your word so my effort wasn't in vain.

Well folks, I'm leaving for North Carolina (a day late :() tomorrow. I had planned to leave today but who knew renting a car was so difficult ?? geezus, I thought you just walked in, plunked down your dough and drove off to Destination A. I had no idea car rental companies ran out of cars during the week and the weekend offers more availability - duh me, lesson learned. The good side is the cost is unbelievably cheaper on weekends, again, reverse thinking on my part. I fully expected it to be opposite - higher demand, higher rates on weekends.

I'm going down there to see an internet friend (and another reason also). I walked through a chapter of a lady-friend's life online for about 5 years who has met and surpassed adversity on a grander scale than myself. Long story short, she has got all her ducks in a row and is open for the possibility for me to come down for a visit and give her living area a feeling out for my own transitional living. Perhaps a place to extend and succeed at newer goals. Goals that will include everything I've winced about on here. I need to jump in that car tomorrow with an open mind and lots of hope. Maybe this is where I need to be *shrugs*

We'll soon find out.

I have a doctor's appt. on the 6th, I'll change my sig weight then. I fully expect a good number.

The old warrior is back, but then I'll keep that to myself. Hard ass weight losing isn't very popular around here.

Interesting times indeed. It's good to hear that your trip is going ahead as planned after all the hassles.

A bike ride across America huh? A long way from a few minutes around the deck, that's for sure. :) I wonder what you'll be doing next summer?

Have a very safe trip, Randy! Enjoy the lovely scenery.

I am definitely not opposed to a winter-time bike ride. I'm not afraid of the cold, just ice. So, when you're back and want to head out for another Sunday trip, let me know!

Take care!!

Hey, I know I haven't said hi in a while. I haven't even managed to log into the forums for about a month. Glad to see you're doing well!
I hope you enjoy your trip! :)
