I'm glad Sis passed in Hawaii--better than most places. Cancer is something we all deal with at some point...my girl friend Meghan died at 19 from Hodgkin's in her lungs...it was a shock to us all (circle of friends) as we were her age or within a year or two, back in 2002. I'll still smoke a bowl on her grave marker, which is right near my parent's house in the East Bay. She has "420 Boo" engraved on it...which I thought was interesting and pretty neat. It is in that cemetery that nearby, there is a marker of a man named "Mack Johnson". I forever think that is one of the coolest names for a man....besides "Randy," of course.
Glad you had a good weekend.
Yeah Val, ain't it the truth. Totally unavoidable and everyone has a story. I love your tribute to her

Just reading '420 Boo' made me grin from ear to ear

I drove a Mack at one time and my best man was named (last name) Mack, did my coolness increase any ?? if that were at all possible *turns on the monitor defroster* ha !!
Hey Randy, Hope your doing well and I too will miss the chats with Sis. She was truly one of a kind and even though she was so sick she still had a great sense of humor and always knew how to make me laugh even when i wasn't feeling good. Oh and the chats with Sexy and Kiwi and them when i was pregnant with my son where funny too though at the time i didn't think that much was funny.. haha. I miss having the fun we all did in poker but things and times changed a lot.
Anyways, i did have some questions about your truck drivng if your still doing it or when you did? my husband is seriously considering doing this truck driving thing and i want to make sure we make the best choices before just jumping into schools and what not. So if you have any recommendations on companies or schools please let me know. Thanks oh yeah, ajfavegrl is my sn on yahoo so you can always send me a message there too. talk to you soon and take care.
heather.
Sorry Heather, I didn't mean to omit you from the ps/chat freak story about Sis and Sexy - forgive me

Yes, you're so right, time does change. I'm glad some of us can change right along with it
Well a lot depends on a lot, as they say. Your dh can get schooled by most major companies for 'free' but free has a lot of strings attached to it.
If it's clear in your marital minds that his long periods away (2 to 4 weeks at a time) are ok, then take up the opportunity with a major company. It's free only if you fulfill their contract. If for whatever reason he doesn't live up to the agreed contract in terms of completion, the company will make you pay back all sorts of incurred cost they shelled out - usually in the thousands of dollars.
Most companies require one year of uninterrupted employment to satisfy an equal balance of the school cost. They pretty much own you that year too. If they make him stay out for 6 solid weeks, you have to suck it up or do what many do - quit and repay. It really is a catch 22. There are several trucking message boards with tons of horror stories on this subject.
I personally, in you guys' situation with youngin(s ??) at home, opt for a conventional trucking school through his G.I. bill entitlements. This may give you the flexibility to find a better local opportunity but local jobs are hard to get without over-the-road experience also but not always the case.
Do lots of research and for gawd sakes, communicate the highs and lows of this profession with each other. Mid-late 20's with wife and children are NOT much of a success combination in this industry.
Oh yes, and I posted a bunch of pictures of my nice house and my cats and me just now, if you want to see me with kinky hair!
Yum !! pussy pics

how could I refuse ??
Hi Trucker, just doing a Monday check in! I cancelled the trip to NC for this upcoming weekend... so I'm definitely free for a Sunday bike ride. Any takers?
Well of course I'd be the 'taker' however I have only one small request. Can I call you Nicolette ?? just once ??
Talk to ya later
