Great hike! What an excellent decison, staying home instead of drinking beer--that's hard to do, trust me I had a beer at home last night! LOL!

Wow I didn't know you had a GF!

And perhaps they shouldn't. Habits can change and such. But if people rarely change.
Why have you not told us more about this "gf" before???

Hey things might work out. You should be more optimistic! Don't borrow trouble!! You a great guy maybe she'll want to change to make you happy. If she don't she sucks and wasn't worth you anyway!!:hug2:

I'm a realist, not a pessimist. I don't really need a good outlook in this case - other than acknowledging this whole event changed my world and not necessarily for the better. Don't get me wrong Mechelle, I had lots of fun - in fact too much fun and that's where the problem lies.

She showcased me and it was a complete ego stroke, no denying. I just wasn't into the 'every night' thing especially when drinking is involved. Somethings are deadlier than obesity. I'm more content that we bounce off of each other now, move on and just smile about it. It feels like the right path for me to take presently.

hehe, thx Val. I actually have beer here in the fridge but I rarely drink here at home alone. The staying home part was hard. I jingled the keys a few times last night. Tonight has been much easier, I had another good walk, ate well, feeling thin and a bit tired.

Mechelle's right....but people never change for each other, I don't think. Or seldom, if ever.

Yeah, I was an opportunist, not so much a 'changer'. I was totally ga ga having a sexy woman at my side for 2 months. I put myself in a place I wanted to be. Now I'm pulling out - no change necessary :)

I agree totally, Sunny. I'm trading one new bad habit for one old good habit.

My 'gf' wasn't forum-worthy IMO. You all woulda whipped me senseless had I told certain parts my lack of eating for drinking. I was selfish. I wanted both worlds. Now I can only have one.

Spoken like a true Leo!! LOL!!! What are ya doing next Tuesday, hmmmmmmmmm??????

haha. Val, I have two tickets for the Quiet Riot/Skid Row gig tomorrow night at the Fair. This is so awkward because it's in between our respective eras. Well, I can rock to just about any genre - providing it's rock.

I have to whip out the lil black book for a date, no one likes the short notice deal but I just acquired the tickets on a freebie so time to put the thinking cap on. As predicted, I knew the 'gf' thing has ended. I need no closure on this subject, I'm just a cold fish that way.

Onward and upward.

meh, Tuesday isn't a big deal for me. More than likely a family BBQ or the likes *shrugs*

Beer-free: Day Three - The bloat is gone. I'm pretty happy today.

Ooooh! Quiet Riot/Skid Row gig?? Sounds like a helluva night. Take me, take me! I don't mind the short notice at all!

Cold fish! LOL!

So some Jezebel tempted you off the wagon? ;)

Did I mention she had chocolate, black cherry and vanilla streaked, ass length, feathered hair ?? Really high maintenance stuff, oh, and she smelled good.

Skid row? whats skid row without Sebastian Bach? hes touring with GnR atm! hes the support act that funnily enough was better than GnR :D

Axl has always kinda pissed me off, but still in a likeable kind of way. He used to have that dirty sexy "I'm a bastard but you're gonna like it" thing going on. However, he doesn't have that anymore and the last straw was seeing him in an interview wearing a Leafs jersey. *spits* Now he just really pisses me off.

Wow! T, she sounds really tasty.

haha. Imagine me putting hair colors in a food kinda way. This could be a hidden message :)

I just think he's a fucking jerk - period. I'd rather opt for the broken dream of Diamond Dave stage-centering the Van Halen Bros, as if...

Back from vacation here...just wanted to stop in and say hello!

Welcome back N. :) I hope you had a great vacation. We still on ?? Two weeks from tomorrow ?? Lemme know..

ok peeps, time to start getting ready for the concert. As luck would have it, we had a monster thunderstorm and it cooled off about 15 degrees (still sticky out there tho :() It looks like we might be good for the rest of the night *fingers crossed*

My date ?? My daughter !! I'm pretty happy about this :)

concert rep for all !!

LOL, not so hidden, I bet many people on the forum can relate to using food references for different things too.

Hope you have a great time at the show, you could not have found a better date.

Skid Row !!

Good Times.

Yeah.

ah, post-concert hangover. Not the drunk kind, the one where you wanna go back and go to another concert all over again the very next night kind.

*sigh*

Considering Skid Row only has 10 dates this year, I'd say we were pretty lucky to have them in our town. Jason Hook from the Alice Cooper Band joined up with SR last night (the 'Snake' was a no-show) - and again, considering their limited playing time it was amazing how another Les Paul on that stage melted right in but didn't quite steal the show from lead axeman Scotti Hill.

The started-out acoustic 'I Remember You' - ending in an electric barrage, complete with audience singing was completely fun *still swaying with my Bic in the air*

'Psycho Love' was wickedly speaker dominating and '18 and Life' was the total showstopper.

The hardest part of the entire night was being paired up with a instantly hormonal 20 year old girl. haha, it was funny watching her drool plus her added comments on 'marriage' to any member of Skid Row.

Quiet Riot - meh... was ok. We got our 'Mental Health' checked and oh yes, 'Cum on (we did) feel the noise'.

All I can add to this is: Going to a concert with a thin body is the shizz. I highly suggest anyone in need of finding a reason to get that killer weight loss rollin', add concerts to the list of reasons why.
