Sounds awesome Randy; I soooo can't wait until spring so I can get out again.
Youbetcha DQ !! Spring is probably a most cherished event for you up there. I do feel for ya being up there in the cold region. To be honest, I hope you can someday leave your isolation (of sorts) and put that new slendering body to use in warm climate and enjoy good year round weather. What a great way to keep weight off where you can be active 365 days a year !!
Smoking isn't a big deal to me, neither is drinking. I consume a pack every 3 or 4 days when I am "smoking like a fiend", and one pack a month when I am just having an occasional smoke every once in awhile.
I'm glad to see yuo are getting out and walking a lot man, I want to do more, but need to bring friends until I can get my knee fixed (every once in awhile, it just kinda falls apart, and when you're hiking a couple of miles fropm the car, that's a bad thing). It's tough finding people that like going hiking, dammit!
I hear ya man, I'd hate to have to ask my friends to carry me out of the woods too !! Glad to know there are people who can control their smoking, I'm an all or nothing kinda guy, so nothing it is !!
Just checking in. I haven't been around much this weekend and haven't read through anything so I'll on you hopefully tomorrow!!
Hi Mechelle

Sounds like you stayed busy over the weekend eh, well now your back to your quiet time and can kick back and enjoy.
I hope you have a great day !!
Woo Hoo!
Another 5.25 mile day! Randy - that is a huge accomplishment - and YES your timing is good
I agree with you, posture is huge - good for you for catching yourself!
Thanks Debi

As predicted, the weather definitely started taking its turn for the worse but I'm going to get more exercise this week than I have in along time !! only most of it is going to be of the lifting variety

By Friday, I'll probably be walking like I have my tie caught in my zipper.

Wonderful effort with the walking.
Do you still feel amazed at yourself?!!
I do find it inspiring to hear what you are doing with it - fortunately - because walking has made such a difference to me - and I never expected I would end up doing even as much as I do now.
Amazed ?? not really only because the night I made a promise to myself I wasn't going to break. We can agree that these distances we're now capable of weren't really a vision I had when I started and I give much credence to a certain someone on WLF for making me interested in going longer and farther. The support here can truly be inspiring for those who come here with that intention.
'Amazing' is a popular adjective from people I come in contact with that haven't seen for awhile. 'Amazement' is the life my diary took on (not always in a good way either). I think people who are sincere about weight loss 'amaze' themselves with their own results because they know the hard work it takes to get results. 'Amazed' comes to mind for my detractors who go out of their way to think they have some negative effect on my efforts, yet they still watch my progress. I'm too strong to let anything stop me.
Good Morning!! I'm not walking anywhere near as that much!! You mentioned something called "snow" several posts back. Can't say I've see much of that here in Vermont

.
oh beckster, I'm just taking advantage of some great weather and really we haven't had much snow here this year either. It was a great opportunity to knock off some holiday 'spirits'

I hope you have a wonderful day.
