Hey T2! Hope this day goes great for you. It has warmed up here to 50 at about noon. But it is so muddy, you'd sink to your knees if you tried to walk. I found this learning how to run thing in tomble's diary and have really been wanting to try it but I guess it'll have to wait until things are solid around here!!:D
 
He died 18 years ago today (hard to believe). This singer, no matter where you were or what you were doing and even if it was the first time you heard his new songs, you knew who it was.

His style never changed (thank God), so few could cross over the genre bridge and pulled in fans from every corner of the globe from every imaginable walk of life. Strumming out classic country chords and filling any venue with a voice smoother than velvet, this video frames him just the way I want to remember him - center stage, his accompaniment far off on risers with little to do other than join in the melody not that he needed them.

He is a Star, was a Star and will forever be remembered as a Star.

I would like to think there was a lil bit of Roy in everyone...

Lucky me, I have a deck here to walk on (which I did today) so ground mess isn't an issue unless the deck is covered with snow and ice (which will be tonight).

Nice to see tomble inspire you into something you may enjoy. That's the beauty of WLF, you never where you'll find something inspiring or new to try :)

Heylo! WaZ uP?!! *shudders* sorry, I just read an email with that in it, and I ...ugh. I can't stand the "gangsta" talk, and seeing it in email drives me up a wall! ) :D

anywho, how's you're day been? I ended up locking my keys in my car for the first time since I started driving... it was funny after the fact. But then, got them out and went running at the Y. Fun fun! :D Have a great rest of the day!
 
hehe, so you took a trip to duhville huh ?? lolol - A place we've all been to :D Last winter I went back inside to change coats and left the car keys in the coat I had just changed from and got to the car and went DUH !! Lock out of my house and locked out of my car !!

Wanna see something funny ?!?! Watch a really big man (me at the time) break in through a window from ground level !!! I was so ticked, I stayed home :p

Congrats on your 5-star thread !! you deserve it ;)
 
heehee... I've locked myself out of the house before. Luckily for me, my little brother's window stick thingy that is *supposed* to be there to keep crooks out, was gone from his window, and his window was unlocked, so I was able to crawl into his room and save myself from utter humiliation when my dad got home...:D:D!!!
 
Hi Trucker. I have been reading bits of your diary all week - starting at both ends - haven't read the middle yet. Your story is one of those I find really inspiring - over half way to your goal now!! :D

BTW I had exactly the same reaction as you to Fellowship of the Ring. :)
 
ok Big Hair know-it-alls and early MTV afficionados, if you remember this band's debut video, you're definitely worthy of the Golden Aquanet Spray Can Award.

Probably a good "Where are they now" research project. Their career was short-lived 'cuz 'everyone else was doing this'. I'm not even sure how this video got in my head this morning *shrugs*

Aaaaah, here's to being smart enough to have the coffee ready and waiting when I came in !! *sips* *sips* oh wait *sips again*

The deck was a lil slippery on the turns until I built up enough heat to make it all turn to water, pretty cautious the first 10 minutes then we put 'er into overdrive :D *sips*

Looks like tomorrow will definitely be a bike day :mad:

It didn't last long. To this day I still don't know why MTV went the route it did. Ad revenue I suppose, they made a ton off the Real World and stuff. I really tuned it out about that era and haven't really returned. I can't afford the cable package that has MTV2 on it, my bill is over a 100.00 month now (including my internet) I can't justify another 40 bux to watch upper tier programming :(

T2! Hey man hope your day is going great! I already went to the gym this morning so I'm feeling pretty good. By the way I just love Roy Orbison!! I grew up wirh him in my ears. My dad was a big fan. Dad also plays the guitar and would sing his songs as well. Awesome memories!!! Have a good day and hope you are doing well!!!!!:)
