This ongoing Rolloercoaster needs to stop!! No more free rides!!

Hi Njoyabl!

You just got my curiosity goin by mentioning the blue crabs.
I looked them up and they sound delicious. I doubt I'll ever get to try them up in this neck of the woods, but the thought of a crab boil or some grilled crabcakes sounds yummy!

Sounds like you got everything undercontrol and things are going good! Congrats.

As far as the Cto5K program goes, just use this site...the program is in right there listed for free. (I don't know if posting this is allowed but I can message it to you if it disappears).

Have a great weekend and hope you have fun crabbin!

Flumes!! Thanks so much for providing that link! I have two walking buddies on the weekends and we walk the city park together, so I wanted to see if they may want to try it, now I can just print them copies. This is great!

The blue crabs are delicious! We eat them here in the summer all the time, I actually just had some last weekend. Have you ever had Snow Crabs? We can't crab for them here, but they are abundant in restaurants. They sell them by the pound in grocery stores, but I live 30 minutes from a casino that serves all you can eat on wednesdays, and I get 2 free meals a month because whenever I am waiting to eat I play one of the penny slots and any activity gets you free meals monthly, sometimes 4. The softshell crab is also pretty tasty. I know people who actually harvest their own crabs and sell them to the stores and you can pick them up instead of a seafood store, that is how popular they are to eat here. If you like seafood, you would love them. And I love crab cakes! Dang, I'm talking so much, I know I have to get them now, and maybe even make some crab cakes too. Yum!

We live in a border town to the US and frequent the two American casinos there. They have awesome buffets with snow crab/prime rib all weekend and one casino even has king crab on Tuesday nites to draw the crowd.

Buffets were always my biggest downfall diet wise so I have been keeping my distance from them.

Now...I want your crabcake recipe! lol

Have a great weekend!

Hi njoyabl --

I am new and just read thru your thread -- I really admire your determination. Congratulations on losing the inches -- I also try to not pay as much attention to what mt scale says and go by how my clothes are fitting -- that's what really matters anyway....

LOL! I usually call my grandmother for tips on the perfect tasting crabcake, but for some reason I change up the ingredients all the time based on what is in my cabinet, or I go online for a recipe. One thing is for sure, it is all meat and no fillers! I have found that my crabcakes stay together and are more tastier when broiled, which of course is way better than frying!

Thanks, I've been waiting on some type of improvement because I haven't been able to exercise much, and was feeling quite terrible about it.

Thanks KarenBee! It is so nice to meet you, and thank you for stopping by my diary. K.I.T!

Congrats on the inches lost! The past posts here make me want to eat crab

Thank you, I am glad that I noticed some type of difference because I haven't been able to get my workouts in for a while and the scale was really disappointing me, so this was a good motivator.

Thank you, and welcome to the forum! Thanks for stopping by my diary, and I am assuming that you have or will be starting one, so can't wait to check you out!

LOL!! HaHa, i finally multiquoted and still am not sure how I did it because I messed up the first time, and when I was trying to do a regular post, they magically appearred together!

Today, i'm kinda out of it. Forgot to buy more water, so I'm here at work needing some bad. I have enough change for one bottle, that I am about to purchase. My energy is very low, and I don't feel like doing anything, along with a headache that I have had since I woke up this morning.

I feel tired, but My baby slept through the night, but I noticed that I couldn't sleep through. I consistently woke up, for what reasons, I don't know. I have worry in my mind for some reason for nothing in particular. I assume it is from lack of sleep. My menu was almost nothing yesterday. I didn't eat until like 3 pm, and it was a slice of pizza, and I had a yogurt later on, and that was it. I didn't drink any water, just went back to bed. so maybe I slept too much? I'm dying from this headache today.

B- grilled cheese on wheat
L- one slice of wheat with tuna
S- apple and cantaloupe

Today is just Blah.

Okay, so although I feel totally out of whack today, I finally got some good news. And the rent is paid, so that's cool.

I hope I feel better tomorrow because my surgery is on wednesday, and I know that things will probably be rough, being as my baby is going to want mommy to pick him up and so forth, and I won't be able to. I hope everything goes well, and I am not in too much pain. I didn't get crabs over the weekend, but I have a feeling that I should do this before this surgery, because the craving is intense, and at least I will satisfy it instead of continuing having them and not being able to eat them afterwards for whatever reason. I will be out of work for a week.

Yesterday, when I left work, well way before I left, I was mad because once again, somebody stole my salad, not just my salad, but the tupper ware too. I'm getting sick of this shit! I'm thinking about going to the warden on this one, because this is just triflin and ridiculous.

Today, I was like 2 minutes late for work. I used to be able to wake up early in the morning and do workouts and everything, but every since I've gone through a second pregnancy, I just have not been able to peel myself up out of bed to do that. Perhaps, my body still isn't used to the restlessness. I find myself waking up several times a night to check on the baby, even though he is sound asleep. I often remember doing this with my first son, and was half crazy if I heard anything that didn't sound right, like if I was out of the room and I hear a bump, I start running toward my child, just to find him sound to sleep. I did that one night while spending the night at the grandparents house. I heard a thud and then I heard my baby. I was up and down the hall like a speed of light, not even realizing that his grandmother was holding him, and he hadn't got hurt at all, I snatched him out of her arms and rocked back and forth, back and forth shouting OMG, What happened! At the same time, my partner had run down the hall behind me because he was startled out of his sleep thinking that maybe the house was on fire or something and I ran and forgot to tell him.........I've begun to have those moments again.

Anyway, this morning was weird, I feel much better than yesterday, I didn't get rid of that headache until late night. I ate a well balanced dinner, which I'm sure was loaded with calories, but since I didn't feel all that well yesterday, I hadn't had much. I'm not worried about it, just have to get ready for this surgery in the morning.

B- oatmeal, apple
L- idk yet
S- huge, navel orange
D- I don't know about everything else, but I am going to make my shrimp and scallop sauce with garlic, onion, diced tomato, and alfredo sauce. I have some crab meat, so I think I am going to add that to make it thicker and like more of a dip. I will eat this with wheat crackers. I will make pasta for everyone else to pour the sauce over the pasta.

I cannot eat anything past 12, and I probably won't be able to eat after the surgery so I am going to enjoy this.

Good luck with the surgery today. I hope everything goes smoothly and your back to new in no time. Make sure you are getting lots of water to help in the recovery and get some rest too! Check back when you are feeling better. xoxox

Hope the surgery went ok and you aren't in too much pain :(

When you are back on your feet - I'd definitely second Flumes' suggestion and say to try the C25k program -its ace.

I hope everything goes smoothly in your surgery, at this time just relax.

Also, you should mention this to your warden!

Just wondering how you are doing! Take care and lots of time to recuperate!
Even when both my kids sleep well I still wake up because I think one cried at night, I think it is part of the mommy deal! The energy thing well you have been going throught a lot of stress with money and all so that could be why you feel so tired and drained....it will get better.

Horrible about your food being stolen. you should totally bring it up with the warden.

Hope you are recovering well. Sending your good thoughts and lots of positive energy. Stay strong and get plenty of rest. Thinking of you.

Hope you are starting to feel better. I'm just taking off on holidays and wanted to say bye for a couple weeks. Looking forward to checking up on you when I return - hope you will be back to new then! Take care! :seeya:

Been a while since you posted. Hope all's well. Miss you in the forums. Come back soon.

I agree with Juni!!! You are missed. I hope you are healing well after your surgery, come back soon!!
