Third Times a Charm?????

Been a few years since I've been back here. To give an overall recap I've spent the last 4 1/2 years working in Kuwait for a security contractor. In that time I had keep my weight pretty much in tack staying around 180. When I left for Kuwait I was at 170. So I was quite proud of myself for keeping most of the 50 lbs I had lost off. But things changed for me this past few months. My contract in Kuwait has ended and am now back home looking for work. Losing my contract in Kuwait was a pretty big hit on me and in doing so I got pretty lazy gain several pounds back. So this morning as I was laying in bed I remembered all the good support I got the last time I was here in my adventure of losing weight and getting myself in better health. So now I'm back, hoping to get that same support and motivation.

My goal is to get myself back to better health and to lose weight. Right now I'm sitting at 207 lbs (UGH!!!!). I'm setting my goal back to my original goal of 160 lbs. So basically I want to lose 47 lbs total. BUT.... I am not going to get bent out of shape if I don't get to my goal weight, it is just the min. weight I want to get to. Basically it is my ultimate goal weight. The last time I attempted to get to 160 I was only able to reach 170 and was unable to get any closer. But I was happy I got that far.

So wish me luck, and I'll be checking in here as much as I can with updates, progression and motivation from you all. I'll try to get some pics loaded as soon as I get a chance to do it.

Hi there! I just wanted to wish you luck on your journey! I too had lost weight, had some set backs in life which lead to a bit of a re-gain so I totally relate! You did this before you can definitely do it again! I look forward to to watching your progress! :):)

Thank Janvier and IJustwannabefit. Right now I got a lot going on and haven't sat down to set a strong plan. Pretty much trying to eat healthier and run. Once I get a plan set up and on a regular schedule I'll post it up.

Just got my new membership at Gold's Gym. Will be starting tomorrow. My plan will be to run in the morning when I wake up then to the gym after work. Planning on 3 days of weights and 2 days of the Les Mills Group workouts. Looking at BodyAttack and BodyStep. But more important is to figure out a 3 Day workout routine for my weight days.

Woke up this morning with crappy weather. Lots of wind and rain so I wasn't able to run. I could of ran on my treadmill here in the house but I thought I would of woke up the wife and daughter so I decided to hold off. When I got off work I headed to the gym and started off with a 30 min run on the treadmill. After which I hit the weights working on Biceps, Back and some Abs.
Tomorrow will be a little different. Actually a lot different, Going to do a first. I'm going to join the group excercise at the gym and attempt Les Mills BodyStep. This should be interesting. lol. Will let you all know how it goes.

I'm kinda getting the impression that gym classes are the ticket. Let us know how you get on!

well all I have to say is the name of BodyStep should be renamed to "Steps to Hell"... lol.. and the instructor is actually the spawn of the devil.. lol She kick my butt.
I've never done step aerobics before and let me tell you, it kick my ever loving ass.. I had the worse time keeping up and staying coordinated..
I have only one thing to say about the class, I LOVED IT....
It really pushed me and even thou I could of fell over and died right there I keep going. Can't wait until Thursday when I try BodyAttack.

Isn't it so great to have an instructor who's good, and cares. Mine kicks my ass too, but she's also really gentle when I tell her some things are not working. I think coordination and timing will come as you progress. Exciting times!!

Ahaha that's amazing! 'Steps to Hell' and you loved it? Damn these classes sound like a good idea :p Keep it up man!

good day today. Ran 2.8 miles in 30 min and did a triceps, chest and Abs weight workout. Talked to one of the trainers today and since I just became a member I get a free one day evaluation and training with him. Will be meeting with him on Friday evening to go through a whole body routine.
Tomorrow I'll be doing the group session again, this time it will be BodyAttack.
Weigh in this Saturday. Hoping to see some good progress.

Another day in the books.
Did the BodyAttack group workout last night and I'm sooo paying for it today.
Tonights workout is with the trainer. He is going to take me through a full body workout. This should be interesting since my body is already sore as it is.

Great! I love the feeling of sore body after a good workout. I woke up without soreness this morning (since I hadn't done anynew exercises in the last two days) and I missed not having sore muscles around my belly and thighs. Want to hear about the full body workout with the trainer. That's so awesome, GGH!!!

Ok all sorry about the absence, been a busy week. Still kept up on the diet and workouts. Working with the trainer was great and gave me some good new things to do for my workout so I applied some of them new workouts into my training this week. BodyStep and BodyAttack are still kicking my ass but I'm enjoying it.

Weighed in this week and have lost 3 lbs. woo woo

Now I'm off to do yard work today. First mow of the year. Don't know why but I have always loved mowing my yard...lol

 3 LBS LOST

That's so awesome. And all your workouts sounds super intense. I bet you impressed the heck out of your trainer. Great going GGH. Hope yard work is fun. Enjoy the weekend.

Hi :) Found you!!!

Yay!!!! Well done on the weight loss :) :)

I love your description of your class, it did make me giggle. I'm doing an 'insanity' class on Wednesday and trust me, I will be complaining for days about it afterwards lol. I actually quite like the aching after working out but also love to complain about it too. I especially like the involuntary noises we make when we try to get up out of a chair or walk even lol.

Thanks for stopping by on my diary, I will definitely keep up with your journey :)

All the best. xoxo
