Had a good week! Worked out 3.5 hours and averages about 1100 calories per day after exercise, I Lost 0.8 pounds. Have a fairly busy week coming up but I am determined to get to the gym at least 3 times!

We are dealing with a major crisis here with my 17 year old that could have criminal implications. First off he did not physically or emotionally harm any one I want that out. He played a prank that caused a school evacuation and the fire and police to be involved. So it's very serious and we are beyond upset, disappointed and in shock. This could harm his future and cause a serious financial burden on us. We were already just scraping by paying our share of our oldest sons college tuition. Our cash reserves are empty.

You may wonder why I am posting this here...well
I can't vent on social media or talk to friends in the school district because the lawyer advised againts it.

So I just need some support, prayers or good vibes sent my way! Please keep us and my stupid teenagers in your thoughts!

Oh tete. I, of all people, probably have more empathy for how you're feeling! These sons of ours. We love them more than we can possibly say & it's a love that hurts. I hope that the school (police etc) can see it in their hearts to let it go. I'm sure most of them have done silly stuff when they were young. If he is genuinely contrite hopefully they will. Thank you for the well wishes ladies. I will say this is the first time in my life that the stress is so bad that I actually have no appetite.

Even when my mother was sick in the hospital for weeks on end, I never felt like this. Its a whole different ball game when its your kids.

I love him so much, he is such a sweet kid...he is kind and doesn't have a malice bone in his body. I just hope we can reduce the charges...the world is such a different place since 9/11. Things that were once just "boys being boys" or prank now hold life altering consequences.

I truly believe he should be punished for his actions, what I don't believe is that a first time offender, honor roll student, capt of sports teams and never been in trouble kid should have his whole future in jeopardy over one moment of bad judgement.

Thanks again for the well wishes...and a place to vent it is great appreciated.
 
Hi all...I know its been forever and ever. Just wanted to stop in and say Hi! I think about all of you and hope the best for everyone! Things have settled down and my son is doing good and dealing with 6 months probation and having college on hold for a year. Its a big life lesson...and an expensive one for him...but I am a true believer in everything happens for a reason and someday we will see the benefit of this time.

God I miss this place, I can say there is no other forum like it. The true support people give here is a special thing. I've tried to streamline and simplify by only using MFP, but it lacks the grace and love that always filled this place. The only thing that would make it better is if a few of my dear friends that were here from the beginning would reappear, they were my rocks and I miss them.

But just looking around and seeing the active diaries I must give BIG KUDDOS to all of you that have stayed the course on here. I am in awe and truly hope to reconnect with you all!

On the weight side I am holding steady at 190ish but I actually feel my body and face are slimmer this time around at this weight. I do try to do kettlebell twice a week and get in cardio 4 times a week at 30min. So beside the up and down of ten pounds I have maintained 20-30 pounds off for over 5 years. Now if I could just get that other 30 back off and learn to maintain that...I would be a happy camper!

Good day calorie wise....but I was a complete sloth...lol. We had a long day on the road yesterday visiting my sister in law in the hospital three hours away...so I was beat, she will be ok, nothing to serious, we just felt bad she was alone in her town with no family so we decided to cheer her up.

I should hit my goal of a 6125 deficit regardless of the lazy day...so it was a good week. My goal is 20 pounds by August a 6125 weekly deficit gets me 27 pounds in theory so I should hit it if I stay the course.

Good news...lost .8 pounds this week. Bad news I "tweeked" my knee getting out of the shower...lol. I was fine for my walks during my break and lunch, but when we went for a "real" walk this evening...I felt it. I'll take tomorrow off and see how it feels, no big deal I would think.

Congratulations on the loss! Hope your knee calms down, probably a good idea to take it easy for a bad. Week´s half over already :eek:
