hey catie how was xmas and new years? still trucking away? Hope your doing well and looking forward to hearing some updates =)
 
I hope everyone is doing great and had a wonderful holiday season... So... I've been slipping a little bit and am trying (hardcore starting today) to get back on track 100 percent. I got back up to 177 (-38) so that's where I am now.

However, I've eaten really well today so far and had 3 glasses of water, already worked out once and am going to lift weights with my sister later.

How did the weekend go for you catie? 177 is still good and I am sure as you mentioned you ate good and were staying hydrated that you will be down after lifting with your sister. Looking forward to hearing how things went!
 
Thanks Travis! Things have been getting better. I'm down to 175 - yay! I went to the gym twice yesterday (once to run, once to lift weights).. I'm doing this Scale Back Alabama thing - in teams each person has to lose 10 pounds in 10 weeks. I weighed in at 179 (yeah- i know! bad!) 1 1/2 weeks ago and have to be 169 by march 10 so hopefully that'll be no problem. 6 more pounds. I would love to be 160 by then. That'd be great!

School has started back up again and I'm really stuggling with finding time to eat breakfast. I need to work on that because it makes me hungry later.

So I'm a little frustrated.... In the last 7 days, I have worked out 6. I have not lost any weight- in fact, I am back up to 177. So frustrating.

However, there are a few positives. Yesterday, I ran 3.57 miles without stopping (it took me 37 minutes). When standing in a normal, feet shoulder distance apart, my thighs don't touch. I am a size 10 now in all jeans. In high school, I wore a 6-8 so I'm getting there hopefully. I don't know - I'm frustrated about the weight but I know i'm losing inches. I just don't get how that works.

Today I'm going to start writing down what I'm eating each day again. I know that's important. Hope everyone is great.
 
Well... last night I got incredibly motivated and went 5 miles at the gym and then lifted weights. I weighed 175 today so that made me happy. Today I had one waffle for breakfast, smart pop popcorn (100 calories), a grapefruit, and a turkey sandwich and for a snack a 100 calorie pack of goldfish. Fair i guess - probably should have eaten less...

Then I went to the doctor for my wrist (just a post surgery visit thing and everything was fine). Since he is a plastic surgeon, I decided to ask him about my stretch marks. He told me that a tummy tuck is about 5-6 thousand, insurance won't cover any of it even if you lost the weight by yourself (w/o surgery), and that I should'nt get it until I've had kids. I went to the dermatologist two days ago, and she told me laser surgery for stretch marks didn't work. She gave me some retin-a but that takes 3-6 months to work. So I'm pretty bummed. No hopes of beach this summer.

I'm probably blowing it out of porportion, but I'm reallyd own about this :(
