Woohoo! There's another Staffordshire lad on here! :D

Looks like you're doing well, James - keep it up mate. I like the cycling to Malaga thing - but wont you get wet somewhere around the 300km mark? :p

Is tea, like dinner in America and dinner like lunch?

Ahh, Heidi, 'tis the source of much debate over here. My interpretation is that an English dinner is a formal meal served with typical English reserve, stiff upper lips and plentiful helpings of wot wotting which is enjoyed anytime from noon until mid-evening. It should always be a roast of some description served with a full helping of veg and gravy and must not be commenced until at least three verses of 'God Save The Queen' have be sung.

Although in less formal surroundings (such as 99.9% of households) it's just an arbitrary word to describe a meal. Some people over here call the mid-day meal lunch, others call it dinner and some people call the evening meal tea whereas others call it dinner. You can only ever have 1 dinner though ;)

Thanks for the clarification Stan!!

I would love to be able to say "For tea, I had ....." So cool!

If dinner is so formal.. maybe I should change my dinner to "supper"... hehe.

Have a good day!!!

Hii James!!! Looks like a great day! Hope you got to bed at a better time!!..lol Have a great Sunday!! :D:D:D

Mmmmm, spag bol! Wish I'd thought of that for today's tea now :D

I'm pretty the mince is minced beef, Heidi. Cob is just one of our Anglo Saxon variants for a small bun of bread - you'll also hear bap or roll used for the same thing over here. :)

Keep up the good work, James :)

Yummy day James.... few things though I dont know what they are..
1. whole meal cob?
2. mince?

My husband is a Chef, and he is from England also. He says to tell you that a whole meal cob is like a bun made from whole grain bread and Mince is Ground meat!!
