Congrats on the 4lbs hun, even though it's not been done through good ways :( Poor tummy <3 Good luck with your essay. I'm all done now apart from a 2500 word essay due in January as well so I feel your paiiin! We can do it!!

I only took one painkiller today :)
I'm feeling a million times better.
Had chilli today for the first time in AGES! I missed it! Was sooo yummy. I drained the fat off the mince and the sauce was full of loads of veggies and beans and not many calories.. Then I had a big pile of white rice :p It actually was a very small pile :)
Then for supper I ate the leftover chilli with some cheese.
I ate 1 bourbon biscuit, 3 chocolate fingers, some icing lol, a couple of dolly mixtures and a couple of giant chocolate buttons while making my gingerbread house today.

I'm not eating a lot but I don't have the appetite..
It's not good really but my scales we at about 206/7 today. After my upset tummy I'd not been in a few days.. But thats fixed now.
Hoping it's all settled down now!
Been making sure I drink loads of (sugar free) juice.

Wanna see my gingerbread house? I'm so proud of it :) I even made the gingerbread itself from scratch :) Didn't mmake the icing though, I bought that :p I spent all day today decorating it :)
 
Ooohhh PRETTY!!!! I love your little house! Will you eat it now?

My kids and I made one a couple years ago - they were so proud of it that they wouldn't let anyone eat it. Then after 6 months or so it got knocked off the counter where it had been sitting forever and smashed to pieces. THEN the kids asked if they could eat it! :puke:

My boyfriend thinks it's a waste not to eat it so he can have most of it lol
 
Glad that you are feelign better Red Piggy...day by day you seem to be getting there! The 4lbs is a bonus too - obviously not what you should be focusing on right now, but as a side thing, 4lbs that way is better than 4lbs the otherway!
 
The scales are going way down...
About 205/6 today.. Looking at roughly half a stone in about a week...
And I'm eating when I'm hungry too. Having junk as well as normal foods. Drinking full fat coke for crying out loud!!
I'm gunna keep an eye on it. While I'm happy I'm losing not gaining, it's not normal =/
 
Ok, naked I'm at about 207/8 ish today, not as bad as 205!
Must just be wobbling about a bit.

Still not had any painkillers today. Although I've only been up an hour :p
Also not eaten..Hmm.. I don't know what I want.. I'm feeling pretty hungry though.
Gunna go raid my kitchen :)

Chest pains when breathing on the wrong side to my op..
Suspected pulmonary embolsim. Go me :p

Turns out it was nothing!! All weekend on hospital food and worrying and injections and being apart from my Martee for nothing :(

Better to be safe than sorry but wasted so much time!!

Back up to 209 :(

What a scary day! My hubby suffered from a pulmonary embolism about 7 years ago and it nearly killed him. He will have to be on blood thinners the rest of his life now.

Take care of yourself and don't worry too much about what the scales say right now.

I don't know how but the scales say so, so I've changed my ticker :D

I ate crap, but not much else so I guess despite what I've been eating I hadn't been eating that many calories.
I also ate really healthily on main meals.
In fact christmas days food was really good.
I had this amazing tomato soup with two small crusty rolls, then went back to bed lol having being up since 4:30am lol
Then when we got up we had turkey with the skin off, sprouts, stuffing but not much, mash, roasts, sausages with bacon and gravy.
Then we went back to bed :p well, spent time in bed watching DVD's and The Santa Clause and stuff.
Then we got up for fudge cake and cream.

Then aside from maybe 2 chocolates, a couple of chocoltae fingers and 1/2 glasses of wine that was it!

Christmas dinner took all day lol

But it was good :)

Then since then I don't think I've had a real meal lol. Had chicken bites and wedges, that was lovely :)

Hmm. Should start eating again lol

Anyway I've stocked up on some fruit and loads of veg and I'm in a student midwife group we're all helping each other along. Might join slimming world..
Not much going on really.
Just making sure I don't top 210!!!

Loads of exercise though now I'm on the wards and at uni at the same time!!
 
Day 4... In the Big Brother house...

2 Satsumas, wholemeal bread samdwiches (eat smart tuna and sweetcorn) chicken dipper, smiley faces and beans and some Ben and jerry's.
Oooh and a glass of apple juice.
Not brilliant but it could have been worse.

Yesterday I had 2 satsumas, slice of toast at placement, jaffa cakes (not many this time!!) and a low fat chicken curry (sort of homemade)

Had a slice of toast each day on placement, it's practically the law and cup after cup of tea!! Semi skimmed milk no sugar though, better than the whole milk and sugar I usually have!!

Will get on the scales in the morning.. It's been easy not weighing every day because of getting up so early thats it's still cold so I'm dressed by the time I reach the bathroom and I'm not weighing in clothes

Redpiggy, I can totally relate to this diary... I'm a student social worker and am in the same boat, being on full time placement and having a home to run, etc etc... waiting for those blessed bursary payments to go into the bank!! :willy_nilly:

However it looks like you're holding it all together really well... its a juggling act eh! :)

Yeah it was really tough coming home after a long day shift (13hr :O) to actually cook something healthy.. Made things that while not traditionally healthy and full of veg, stuff is not full of fat.. More like the stuff you'd give to a kid some days but hey, it's healthy enough for an easy tea!!

I've fallen off a little today.
Woke up at 2 and ate a packet of quavers (not too bad but not a good time or first food of the day), two mouthfuls of gingerbread while washing up, then I've just ordered a takeaway.....
Although I'll eat some fruit later on too but probably no more big meals so it's not really bad calories wise.
Its a bad choice but I'll be back on it later tonight with my 86 calorie crumpets and satsumas and apricots :)
 
Ooooh I love quavers, and you're right they're quite diet friendly! (Though as you say, not ideal breakfast food!)

I've had fruit and veg overload the last week but it seems to have paid off - its keeping me feeling quite full too. :) Good to hear you get straight back on the wagon if you indulge a bit on the food front!

Well I had a cheese burger, a couple of chips, two onion rings and three slices of pizza.
I think that and a bag of quavers was all I had yesterday... Oh and half a tub of ben and jerry's *facepalm*

Although I did have two packets of quavers for breakfast again!!

Off shopping soon though so I'll get in some more fruit (obsessed with clementines atm even if I do keep calling them satsumas), some eggs, more quavers, some healthy pasta thingies, low fat creme fraiche...
So back on it today :)
Weigh in tomorrow and to day I'm at 1lb down, which considering the food isn't too bad. Going to have a new ticker to show the student weight loss thingy instead.
 
Just coming around to say hi and its good to see you posting. Would it help if you cooked a week's worth of dinner's in advance, you could freeze them and then supper times are easy and delicious and the right portion. I know you must be so busy but it really would be to your advantage to clean up your diet. I see too much junk food.
 
Actually overall there's not much junk food.
When I do have takeaways, I'll still stay under or barely go over my calories for the day. I don't eat chocolate anymore and rarely drink alcohol..
It could do with some work but especially compared to before it's not bad at all.
When we have curries (which is quite a lot to be fair) they're not takeaway curries, and although I've eaten a few recently if I don't buy biscuits I don't eat them, so it's a binge more than anything then I'll go a while without.
Anyway.
Went shopping today and bought in some salad stuff, some tomatoes, cucumber, ham.. Still got cheese and peppers so will take those for packed lunches, or maybe stick to wholemeal bread sandwiches.
Bought in some more ice cream but the last 4 tubs (not huge ones) lasted over a month, which equals half a tub of ice cream a week, which isn't too bad. Bought some stuff to make a homemade chilli, and hoping to start making my own bhajis too.
Bought in only quavers crisp wise this week as they're the lowest ones.
Got some cream cheese too to go with my melba toast and cucumber.
Oooh.. Great offer on muller light yoghurts too. 12 for £3!! normally over £7!
Thats breakfast sorted for me for a while :p
Weigh in in the morning, looking at 1 or 2 lbs this last week..
But my uniform tunic is bigger for some reason.. Think my shape has changed more than anything.

Anyway, have to go.. Got a practical exam in the morning and an essay that needs finishing for tuesday. and exams on friday and monday!!!
Need to get some sleep.
