One more little update before I begin my holiday weekend tonight...

I DID watch my calories today and saved up some for tonight and I DID go for a brisk and sweaty walk. :D

I also tried on a sweater that I couldn't wear a couple weeks ago because my belly was too big for it... and it looks fine, and I feel great to be wearing it again.

Next... those black jeans!

 
Good job on the sweater! That's the best feeling isn't it? Not too long and you'll be in the jeans also. Happy New Year!

1-5-06

I haven't been here for several days, so thought I should pop in and bring my journal up to date...

After all the celebrating and eating out and drinking, I got on the scale yesterday to find out that....


I'm still the same weight! YIPPEE!

I'm gradually returning to some semblance of routine here... not back up to the one hour per day exercise yet, but getting there (in fact, I'm sitting here with sweat dripping down my belly LOL).

The past couple days I've been more hungry than usual, and it's been tough to stay away from stuff I shouldn't have, but I've been doing pretty good. I look forward to next week when the holidays and heavier eating/drinking are clearly behind me and my appetite returns more to normal and I'm back into a more regular schedule.

(I'm still waiting on my BodyFlex arrival too - I look forward to doing something a little different as everything else turns back to normal.)

I'm sorry I haven't said Hi & Happy New Year to everyone in their journals... Sometime soon, I'll be there!

Off to the shower....
 
Hey Babrie glad to see you back on again! :) It sounds like you are doing well swinging into things again, so keep up the good work gettin gback on schedule. The holidays can certainly throw you for a loop!

Congrats on your weight remaining the same!! :) I bet you haven't "cheated" as much as you might think! :) Can't wait to hear how your bowflex works out!!
 
Hey Barbie! Just wanted to write and say hello! Congrats! On not gaining any weight.. that is wonderful! I thought I'd gained tons of weight but I only gained a half a pound during the holiday's!! I'm so happy with that considering everything I felt bad for eating... It really didn't do alot of damage.. lol.. Looking forward to your post on the BodyFlex!I hope you get it soon!
 
Hi Barbiez! Your last post made me laugh. I'm glad you didn't gain any weight with all the holiday food fests. I wish I could say the same! But I'll work it off. 1/14/06 - Body Flex finally arrived!

Still hangin' in there, although I haven't been here much yet this year. I continue to maintain, even though I allowed dessert every night this week (finishing off an angel food/strawberry ice cream/whipped cream birthday cake I made for my stepson over last weekend). YUMMMM! It gave me an "ah" every night, but no weight loss.

I'm still working at stepping it back up to full speed where I was before Christmas. Some days are perfect, and some aren't. None of the ones that haven't been perfect have been too terrible, obviously since I haven't gained any weight.

The good news is my Body Flex FINALLY arrived and my first session with it was yesterday. The exercises can be as hard as I want to make them. The most challenging part of this program is the breathing they have you do during your routine. I feel like I awoke DINOSAURS in my lungs yesterday!!!!!!

Seriously, I think the breathing is what's going to benefit me the most. It's going to take me awhile to get used to it, and my body will be cleaning out toxins that are unearthed because of it for awhile too. The good news is the session only takes 20 minutes when you're just starting out, and I'm NOT pushing it further even though the exercises themselves are easy.

I'm off to do my Body Flex session for the day... ugh ... wish me luck!

 
Well, I got my Body Flex done for today, and the breathing was already much easier than yesterday. This program's going to be good for me, no doubt.

This body flex sounds interesting. Is it a workout machine? I have a book about "breathing" and it's amazing what proper breathing can do you for you. It sounds like you are doing great with it. Keep us posted on how it works for you.

Hi again!

WHOA it's been a LONG time since I've been here! I sort of dived into my work and am just now emerging from the deep now that I've gotten to my first goal.

I'm still releasing weight ever so slowly, and have recently stepped it up a notch for another dip in the scale this week (2 and a half so far!).


I'm wondering if there's anyone here interested in committing to something new for 30 days (for free) in order to help make changes in their thinking and acting about their bodies and weight... (Click on my ticker below to see what I've been up to the past few weeks.)

Anyway, I'd love to have some volunteers commit to this system free for 30 days so that they can report back to me the changes they've made during that time period. I'll be advertising this heavily soon, and need some testimonials, and / or other feedback (criticism welcome too -- anything that will help make this program more effective than it already is).

Please read the site over pretty carefully, then PM me here if you'd like to incorporate the program into what you're doing already (free for 30 days). You need to be able to spend at MINIMUM 10-20 minutes per day with this, so keep that in mind, as I only want committed individuals.

Then after 30 days, if you want to continue using the member area (more programs besides weight loss and fitness will be added), let me know - I'll set you up with a permanent user and password to the member area for free, as I so appreciate your help!

Hey, you call whenever you want (except between noon and 1pm EST when I'm watching my FAV show *Starting Over!* heehee)!

I'm sorry I went silent for awhile - I guess I got immersed in what I was doing and couldn't think much about anything else for awhile until I got my program up and running.

The pressure's a bit off now and I'm taking it a bit easier as I work on the next presentation in the series, Stress and Anxiety FREE, which I hope to have up by next week. The more I can have up by the time major advertising hits, the better.
