The amazing shrinking woman (I hope!)

Tig - congrats on the 'new low number' - always wonderful to see - right?

Your experience in the ladies room was not professional at all.....and unless you have a really close relationship...kinda creepy. I'm not one to like people in my personal space, so that would really throw me.

I read about your DH's renewed enthusiasm and have hope for mine again....could never really keep up (I warned him in the beginning, lol) - but 16 yrs later seems to have slowed.

Thanks Jennifer - and thanks for stopping by!

Well, had a crappy day yesterday. Woke up in a FOUL mood - not sure why because it's not quite my TOM yet. Ate crappy all day, drank too much wine, didn't do my run.

Oh well. Start again fresh today I guess. Though I'm still feeling rather crabby.

Played a sort of 'game' with the girls this weekend. They wanted to dress me up in my new clothes and take pictures of me. They each were supposed to pick out a different outfit, but the twins ended up picking the same thing. So while I put the dress on twice and let them each take a picture of it, I'm only posting it once. My 9 year old chose the jeans, my 7 year old the black and white outfit, and the twins picked the dress.

That's strange. I posted on your thread this morning and it isn't here. I think I must occasionally press 'go advanced' by mistake and then just go off the page.
Those photos are amazing as I have said before you have the body of a teen.
Anyway what I said before was that not only are you making your husband heat up but also the women now ;)
I would have been freaked out by the women touching me unless it was a close friend.
I should be about a bit more often now. I wish some of the others would come back as well.:(

Hey everyone! Thanks so much for all the lovely comments!

I was supposed to do my lower body weight training and run 3 miles tonight, but instead I've been cooking all evening. We are having a pot luck at work tomorrow and I think I went a little crazy. I know everyone is expecting me to bring stuff like carrot sticks and rice cakes, but I figured I'd surprise them. So I made lentil stew (which is actually very healthy and low fat low cal), and chocolate cream cheese pie, oh - and peanut butter rice crispie treats with chocolate chips melted on top. And this last weekend I made a dozen and a half red beet eggs (Thanks Tob for the idea and recipe!). My kids are calling them sunrise eggs and LOVE them! I think they're pretty good too, but next time I'll use a bit more vinegar and less sugar. I also deviated from the recipe a bit by putting garlic in with it too. I LOVE garlic! YUM! (hmm... Note to self - bring breath mints to work tomorrow)

I DID at least do the bodyweight challenge today - so exercise wasn't a total bust today. Tomorrow is supposed to be a rest day, but since I was lazy on Sunday and didn't do my usual work out today, PLUS will be eating WAY over cals tomorrow - I'll probably do today's work out tomorrow night. We'll see how tired I am by the time I get home from working in the city.

The road of life is paved with good intentions, right? :Angel_anim:

Well, not only did I eat HORRIBLY today, but I also didn't work out like I said I would. Naughty naughty!

Tomorrow's looking questionable too. Hubby and the twins all have doctor appointments tomorrow up in the city, so I'm taking the day off from work to go with. I expect we'll eat out for both lunch and supper, and get home late - so not sure I'll be able to fit in a work out.

Then Thursday I have to work in the city again with meetings scheduled all day long from 7 in the morning until 5 in the evening. Friday I have to work late as well. I have a feeling this week is just going to be completely screwed up as far as working out. I hope I can fit some work outs in here and there, but wouldn't be surprised if the whole thing is a bust. My schedule will be back to normal next week, so I'll be back hard at it by then.

I just hope the damages aren't TOO much...

I CAN DO A PULL UP!!! I CAN DO A PULL UP!!! I CAN DO A PULL UP!!! In fact... I did TWO of them!!!!

I haven't been able to even come close to that since high school! WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks everyone! I did feel pretty proud of myself - but also a bit drunk. :biggrinjester: It was late, I was having some wine (several glasses actually) because I figured it had been a total spurge day for me anyway, so I might as well. I was watching TV and some guy on the show was trying to do a pull up and I thought HEY! I haven't tried that in a while - wonder if I can do one yet? I had tried right before Christmas and couldn't get myself up even one tiny little bit.

So I went running in to hubby's "man cave" where the pull up bar is mounted near the ceiling nearly 9 feet above my head and realized that there's no way I'm gonna be able to reach it. So I found this rickety old step ladder and nearly fell off climbing up the thing! First I tried with my palms facing me and went right up without a problem! I started giggling and was SO excited to have made it completely up for a real pull up! Then I decided to try it with my palms facing away from me. It was REALLY hard and I sort of gave this little 'kick' to help get myself up the last few inches and accidently kicked the ladder over. But I did make it up! Just barely. I let go and sort of landed on the ladder and broke it. I can't believe I didn't hurt myself! I was going to try to see how many more I could do, but with the ladder broken, I couldn't get up there any more to reach the bar. Oh well...

Maybe it was a fluke? Maybe my arms were drunk and didn't realize that they couldn't do it? I don't know. But it'll have to wait till this weekend to find out. Hubby promised to lower the bar for me this weekend so that I can reach it. Without danger of hurting myself or breaking anything else!

Even with all the pigging out yesterday and not working out for the last 3 days, the scale was kind to me this morning. I was at 134.0 - which is much less than what I was expecting! Today I did get my work out in (3.5 mile run) and was within my calorie budget, but the calories themselves weren't the healthiest choices. Oh well - start again tomorrow...

Angel - I'm currently wearing size 8 tops (or mediums) and size 6 skirts and jeans. I have a pair of jeans that are probably 20 years old from back in my skinny days that are a size 6 that I was using for 'goal jeans' but I think they were from the days prior to vanity sizing because they are smaller than the size 6 jeans I just bought recently. I can get into them and get them closed, but they are TIGHT and there's still a bit of fat overhanging the waistband. I figure when I can fit into those comfortably without any fat overhanging, then I will have met me goal. To me that would be a bigger deal than getting to some arbitrary number on the scale.

Well, I better go catch some Zs. Gotta get up at 3 a.m. to drive up to the city for work. Anyone know where I can get a direct IV line of caffiene put in? It's gonna be one heck of a LOOOOOONG day.

Be healthy my friends!

Aieee! We started at a similar weight and I cannot yet IMAGINE being in a size 6! I just remember at age 14 or so not being able to fit into my mothers size 10 pants...

Thats my mini goal at least.. size 10... after that.. its the moon!

LOL I couldn't help a giggle imagining you hanging drunkedly from the bar but I'm glad you didn't do any damage to yourself.
I wish that I had got some old clothes to use as goal clothes. I'd love to know what I am now compared to 20 years ago.

First off- mad props to you on showing off your mad pull-up skillz!

IMHO, a video of a drunk Tig doing pulll-ups and breaking ladders would for SURE go viral on YouTube.
So, next time you're inspired to tie a few on, just make sure you have your video camera set up on a tripod in a corner. I'm just sayin....

And the photos of your mini-fashion show? Love, love, love!
You are just so sexy, girl!!

Seriously, you look wonderful! No wonder your girls are dressing you up like you're a Barbie!

Congrats on the pull ups. To be honest I am 5'11" and 188 pounds and I don't think I can do a pull up-lol. Although I haven't tried as the pull up bar is at the gym and I don't want to make a fool of myself. Maybe I will go to the gym at like 2 in the morning and try one-lol. Congrats on everything you have accomplished so far. You look amazing. The toning is working for you. There is a huge difference in the last two pictures from the front. That is where I am now - trying to tighten that loose skin. Nice to know it is doable. Keep up the great work
