That last 20 pounds, here we go!

My old list of super foods
1. French fries- so greasy they slide down easy and you can eat em while driving!
2. Ketchup- compliments French fries
3. Cheeseburgers- sesame buns, that's healthier right?
4. Deep fried anything- to prove I am a true blue southerner
5. Barbequed anything-first we kill it, then we grill it!
Lol I think your superfood list might be better!

I bought some goji berries and had some yesterday..that's about as far as I got on the superfood list so far!

Today:
Eating: ok today..very busy day and overbooked schedule...didn't get to eat lunch until 6:30 this evening...so I broke my no eating after 6:00 tonight..otherwise, I would not have had anything after breakfast..I couldn't do that today. Overall calories at 1587 per mfp, so I'm ok with that.
Motivation: good, still keeping my 18 pounds on sight and ready to kick it to the curb!
Exercise: started out today with 10 min on e elliptical...just didn't have the energy, then did 10 min walking backwards at 8 incline on the treadmill, then 20 min walking forward in treadmill...counting these steps and all the ones at the construction site, walked over 12000 steps today...that's why my foot is hurting and elevated with ice...and after this, going to soak in Epsom salts..I can't afford the time right now!

So busy I think you needed to break your after 6 rule, I would have been starving. Rules can be broken for good exceptions :)

As for super foods, I did read somewhere that bee pollen has every vitamin people need.i don't know if that's fact as I can't remember where I saw it.

Hey Nostalgic, Cate and USMC,
Yes, I was hungry, but no Cate, I didn't exercise after I ate last evening, and i was too bisy to faint (my husband told me if i was too busy to eat, then i was too damn busy"! he's right i know! Sorry for the confusion! And today, I didn't exercise this morning either...I took a break today.
Eating : today was better, ate at noon, and back to my routine. Finished the day at 1546 kcal, so good with that.
Exercise: break today, but did walk over 8000 steps without the exercise at the plant today. I will hit it again tomorrow!

Motivation: still good...I'll do a quick checking on the scale tomorrow to see if any progress...not sure right now...clothese feeling about the same.

Well, I forgot to weigh in today..I'll wait until Friday when I get the day off.
Eating: today, ended up at 1609 cal according to mfp, sipping hot green tea
Now.
Exercise : started off the day at 45 min on elliptical..nothing too strenuous. 10 min weights. Mi'm starting to feel my core muscles tighten up! Counting what I did on the elliptical, I did over 15000 steps today..foot elevated with ice now!
Motivation: good, nothing new.

Well, it's Thursday evening and I'm now off for a 3 day weekend! Nothing special planned, but glad to have a break!

Eating: ended up at 1540 kcals, so happy about that. No eating after 6:00 so this just about finishes 3 weeks back on this schedule, so I'm getting used to it again.
Exercise: started off the day 45 min on elliptical..no intervals today, just kind of loped along. Only 5 min weight training.
Motivation: good, rings feeling looser, pants too..I really notice my legs being slimmer when I'm sitting in the tub!

I weighed in yesterday, and good news..now at 170.6, so down a little! That's where the good news ends...well almost!
Exercise: very good, 65 min elliptical + 20km bike trip...so good to get out on a quick vacation day!
Motivation: good,
Eating: not so good...ate way too much last night..started with a capress salad, then lobster bisque, then surf and turf (baby lobster and 6oz filet mignon)...I was stuffed, and it all tasted so good! Too much, and could not overcome all of that food even with the exercise.
So I get back at it today..
Started today with 65 min elliptical, the 20 min treadmill (walking slow, backwards at 8% incline..this gets the butt muscles!), then 10 min lifting weights. Followed this by a good breakfast..now, relaxing!

Thanks Nostalgic! Yes, it is going down, slowly, but surely!
Yesterday was better eating...not great, but not too overdone !
Exercise: good, took a break from the morning exercise, going on another bike ride today, then maybe I'll go to the fitness center a little later today.
Motivation: good. I did measurements today and now I'm at 34 inch waist (th's 1/2 inch smaller), 41" hips (same) and 13.5" neck (same). Put that into the army calculator for body fat and it comes out at 35%..passing the Army standards, but higher than I hoped for! (Always the case it seems!)
Eating: had a good breakfast today, ready for another good day and good week this coming week!

Had a good exercise day today, did 42km on my bicycle! Pretty happy about that and it's a good alternative to the weight bearing exercise and is giving my feet a good rest. Ended up at. 1680 cal... Slightly over my goal, but given the bike ride, don't feel too bad about that. Now, ready for week 4 on the strict regime...it 's all about choices ya'll! Lets make some good ones and get this weight off and our health in good condition!

Thanks Nostalgic and Cate! Exercise is my savior for weight loss! Without moving like I do, I'm sure the weight would not be coming off! I've always liked exercise...but didn't do it much when I was heavy...too embarrassed or too lazy..probably both! Good news is,I'm back at it!

Exercise: 45 min on elliptical, no weights (I was running late)
Eating: good day today..ended up around 1550 cal..a little low, (dont want to go below my BMR but I figure it's in my margin of error!
Motivation: feeling great..I talked to my sister (who has previously also lost 100 pou ds, but put about 20 pounds back on. i paid for her to get some nutritional counseling and they are really helping her build a healthy lifestyle and focus on a good balance of carbs (the right kind...not processed!), proteins and healthy fats...and so far she has lost 9 pounds! she is very motivated, and that is contageous! ). Anyway, I' m very happy with her and I'm happy for me and even more motivated to keep at it and get these last 20 pounds off..and keep them off!
Enjoying this forum again,and thanks to whoever it was that recommended Tactio app..it is great for a view of overall health, and includes a nice graph function for weightloss..(of course it is great as long as the graph continues to show progress...may not feel so great if it goes flat! It gives me a projected date at my rate of loss that I should be at my goal weight by end of December...so that's my goal time! Just in time to rock my family again during my home trip from China!

Tonight's catch up night. It sounds like you're doing a fantastic job with your exercise and I'm glad that your sister is also taking steps to better herself too. It's nice seeing family members make themselves better too! Keep up the great work. :)

Today:
Eating: good, ended up at 1587, so ok with that
Motivation: good, still motivated and feeling good on my own skin
Exercise: took a break today, didn't sleep well at all last night...bunch of work stuff on my mind and felt hungry all night! (I know I didn't eat enough yesterday)
Starting to get a hint of Fall in the air here in north eastern China. Feeling good!

Good day today!

Eating: ended up at 1584 cal, nothing after 6:00, sipping green tea as I type this!
Motivation: really good! I got an email today from my nephew who told me I had inspired him to lose weight, and he's lost 40 pounds, on his way to 100! I'm very proud of him, and didn't know he was on that journey, and so happy he is doing it! Gives me even more motivation to continue to get these last 20 off. I will weigh in this weekend, but my pants are starting to get loose...always a good sign!
