Teen Trying To Fight Flab

wow, you're awesome man. You're the same age as me (nearly) and you started off at nearly the same weight and you do biking like me! Seeing you've lost all that weight is really inspirational man, it really is. Well done on everything, you've done so, so well! Keep it up!

Thanks bc83, I haven't actually been biking for a long time though, got a bit bored with it and started doing a bit of running instead a few months ago.

My final weekly weigh in!

50 kg in 47 weeks, never really thought I'd make it when I first started.

Now onto maintenance, and hopefully a bit of muscle building next year.

Thanks to everyone who popped by and kept me motivated, I couldn't have done it without you.

A bit of an update for anyone that's interested, maintenance has been an interesting experience so far, feeling a heck of a lot more energetic on my current food intake which is great, have been hitting the 2300-2500 range for a good few weeks now.

The weather is a bit bleh at the moment so my exercising has been fairly limited, planning on getting back into the swing of things after Christmas.

My last three weigh ins have been a bit all over the place, 79.5, 80.1 and 80.8. Had a bit of a 'wtf' moment when I jumped on the scales a few days ago and saw 81.8 (cue mini panic episode!), but yesterday morning I was relieved to see 79.6!

Contemplating Christmas now, sooooo much bad food on the agenda which is a bit scary, but I think I can manage it. It's been so long since I've eaten something I'd classify as 'junk food', the epic pizza/biscuit binge back in July, so the prospect of standard Christmas fare is a bit daunting (cakes et al, not that I'm much of a cake person, but I literally can't remember the last time I tasted Chocolate!)

I've decided that I'll refrain from drinking alcohol to give me a bit of wiggle room on the food side of things, but that is a huge challenge for me as well.

Ah, the horror of it all, I can't wait till January!

A wee update for anyone that's interested, Christmas wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, despite a hearty feast and plenty of alcohol!

I reigned in my intake a bit in the week leading up to it, and a week later I weighed in at 81.6.

A lot less focused on the scales now, have just gotten a couple of 10 kg dumbbells and I'm starting to do a lot more strength training, hoping to build my arms up a bit so I don't look so gangly any more.

Keeping my calorie intake stable at 2500 has proven to be quite easy, and I've gotten into a routine of doing early morning cardio every day at 5 am. It lasts for at least 60 minutes, it's about 90% walking and 10% jogging at the moment, but I'm working on improving those ratios.
