helloooo everyone!

tuesday check in! today so far has been OK. . . .didn't have time for my kashi cereal this morning so had to make do with a bagel and low fat cream cheese for breakfast. lunch as promised - most delish stir fry in the world. dinner will be the leftovers!!!

decided i would make a promise to myself to run every day this year that is over 45 degrees up to three times a week. i've been going to the gym and all, but i really find that nothing is more enjoyable than a run outside. it's just nice. . . .plus i can see more of the city that i so love. :) so i went out today - i live on 15th st and i decided to run down to front st (15 blocks) then up to pine st (2 blocks), back up to 20th st (20 blocks) then have the cool down be from there to my apt. i have no idea how long that is in terms of distance, but i left at 1:25. . . . .and came back literally 5 minutes ago. WOW! my only drawback is that i tend to run faster than i should, and then i only run like three blocks then walk a half a block, then run three blocks again. towards the end i finally found my rhythm and could run longer distances!

just checking in! only bad thing about running outside is it aggravates my asthma :mad: gotta go find my inhaler. . . . .have a great day everyone, keep up the GREAT work!!!

Good morning everyone, looks like you're all doing great :D

I'm in a well enough mood today, though I'm tired as all heck - I was up past 3am last night, test-reading my best friends novel (see my journal about it if you're interested). Unfortunately I'm at school basically the whole day, so even though I technically have time to nap (with a 2 hour break 10-noon, and a one hour one 3-4), there isn't really anywhere that's both quiet enough and comfortable enough to get in a good one. I think they do that on purpose ;)

My leg is pretty sore today (again, see my journal), but I'm going to have to get my exercise in because I was so slack about it last week, and yesterday was my rest day (since I didn't have time between school and work). Speaking of yesterday, I had under 1250 calories over the day - more than I should have had, but definitely less than I've been having.
 
Just wanna update and tell you I've worked out +-35 minutes every day (excl. tennis practice) and I'm going strong!

Hope you're all doing well, keep it up!!
 
SOrry about being sore beagle, i guess its the price to pay for working out!

Good job there 18!

I also had a good workout today, did 30 on the tredmill!

Actually, as far as I can tell, it wasn't a workout-related injury, its from calcium deficiency since when I stretched my legs this morning while I woke up, my calf spasmed or something into a MAJOR cramp (scared my poor fiancee though, he didn't know what was happening because between the pain and having just woken up, I couldn't articulate too well until it subsided a little). I've read pregnant women are especially prone to it because their babies "suck away" all their calcium for its own benefit. So I just need to drink more milk, or, more likely, pick up some supplements since I don't really like milk except with cookies. And I won't tempt myself with cookies! :p

In any case, its feeling better, thanks for the concern :)
 
hey guys just checkin in, everyone seems to be doing good! hope your leg is feeling better beagle!

I have had a pretty good day today, over an hour workout including cardio and weights, but I did eat out for lunch, at Boston Pizza, and it was sooooooooooo good! but I need to kick it up a notch now!

Yup lets kick this into full drive people!!! Lol, my day hasnt been to bad today, I missed bfast this morning, but thats okay. I am going for a cardio workout tonight, weights/cardio tomorrow night. Hope everyone is doing good!
 
Feeling pretty blah, just got back from a physical (there is no way to come out of a physical feeling good). Not all good news,but some. According to the doctor's scale, fully dressed minus shoes, I was sitting at 187 lbs. This is very encouraging, though for the sake of consistency, I'm still going to go by what my scale says.

Though I did pick up my bridesmaid dress today with the bride-to-be, and was able to fit comfortably into a size 14 dress! Last time I tried on dresses, 20lbs ago, I would have had to get an 18 (I didn't buy it because I was so upset). :D Wedding isn't until June though, so I'm going to try it on again in May and I hope so much that I have to get it taken in ;)
 
Beagle sounds like you are doing good! Congrats on getting into that size 14, must be great! and keep it up and you will be a even smaller size in no time!
 
hello girls!

sorry i've been a bit MIA, i was taking care of my grandmother who came to visit me for a few days!!

feeling very bummed about the challenge - it's that TOM, and i'm eating everything around me and have been to the gym 3 times this week (was aiming for every day).

trying to keep a positive attitude. . . . .and i'm not weighing myself until the end of the challenge because right now i feel like a big blob!!! :mad:

anyway time to go to work (almost) so i hope everyone else's friday night goes a little bit better than mine!!
 
It will be alright heather, I am feeling pretty blah myself today, all bloated! And I am not weighing myself until the end as well.
 
me either! I gained 2 pds (of my 5 pd loss) so I'm giving it my all and not weighing in again till thurs!
 
hey there guys and gals... just letting you know I'm still alive and well. Just been feeling pretty bleh the past couple of days and haven't gotten around to checking the boards. I'm off to go get a new haircut, hopefully that'll improve my mood.
 
a new haircut sounds nice, i am feeling the same way. I feel like I am not getting anywhere with the weight loss, but I know it will come with time!

I am taking a break from the gym today. I need one days rest a week, I just got home from work and I am relaxing!
 
ugh i'm glad i'm not the only one who has been feeling blah! i'm just getting so frustrated!

plan: refocus tomorrow and put everything into the last four days of the challenge!

and again. . . . .not weighing till the end. :p
