Ok, I feel really bad about something and came here to confess my sin. There's ice cream in my fridge, and since I haven't had ice cream in my fridge in such a long time and it's been a freaking oven here lately, I decided to keep it. No problem except that tonight I had ice cream with caramel magic shell and whipped cream. . .and I enjoyed it so much I had another. :doh: Yeah. And I was doing so well.

I went to the gym tonight and did the following:
40mins treadmaster (I love this thing, it's so much fun!) and 468 cals
about a half hour upper body weights (I like the back machinges, they make me feel good. I must have weak back muscles or something)
the gereral crunches et al. Still don't have flat abs. . .le sigh.

Meals:
Breakfast: 2 fried eggs and coffee (b/c I was sick of Slimfast)
Lunch: 1 slice pizza, small soda, small salad (hit the cafeteria @ work, miss soda--yeah, I'm not off my cheat day yet)
Dinner: one piece veggie lasagna--yum, 2 sundaes, half a glass of lemonade.

Uh, yeah. . .Slimfast tomorrow.


Is it weird to say that a few years ago Xena Warrior Princess inspired me to exrecise? I don't have such inspiration now. Sad, really. A few years ago I wouldn't have had seconds on sundaes.

And your motivation is much more worthy than mine was. I was in a "discotheque" one night and it hit me how BAD I looked compared to them. So that inspired me for about a month. Then I became whatever again. I guess we need to find something more substantial to focus on. I'm on a kick about losing weight for my birthday. I'll be a quarter of a century! [25]

And the ice cream thing, we're all guilty. I use these little tupperware containers when I eat ice cream. That way I think I'm eating more, but I'm not. And sometimes you have to make yourself not do it and sometimes you over-eat without thinking. I mean, it just happens.
 
When's your b-day? We should have cyber party. ;)

I under think food. I don't eat much naturally, so I don't count calories and a little extra here and there is no big deal in my head. . .on my hips is another matter.

I recently realized I have a fat back. Not phat. . .we're talking a big roll of fat. Now that's just gross.

I used to not care what I looked like as long as I was happy. . .now I wish I had.

I have a feeling that when I weigh myself tonight, I'll have gained weight.

I know what you mean. I made a lot of bad weight/health related decisions when I really could have done better. My parents tried to put me on the right path. *shakes head* Think of it this way, it's better to raise your awareness now than before it's too late.

Put a smile on. You gain weight, you lose it, and you come in here and we support you either way. :D Good luck! Be positive and good things will follow.
 
Hey a 1/2 of a pound is two sticks of butter! Yay!

BTW, there are some really good 100 cal. fudge pops in the store (we got ours at Walmart, I'm sure they carry them other places too.)

I'm an ice cream addict - you don't know how much it pains me to walk by the freezer section and see the ice cream w/o buying any.
 
I eat the juice bars at trader joe's. I ws never much of a fudgcile kid and I hated chocolate ice cream when I was younger. It didn't taste right to me. I was always an odd duck. :)
 
I am soooo bad. There's extra food at work the past 2 days adn me, being the grad student on a budget will use any excuse to eat new foods I don't usually get a chance to. So today I had Slimfast for breakfast. Chicken noodle soup for lunch (out of Slimfast), and then at work there was chicken, a little salad, a little rice, and som bread with half pat of butter.

Well I was bad last night, took my peep (Bellaryna) on here out for her bday - we were down right bad to the bone last night. I'm going to post it in my journal....LOL

You'll be good again, I know it!

I was MIA for a day, so I'm backtracking here.

Wed. night
30 mins. on the treadmaster 353 cals
30 mins upper body weight training (though I grab machines at random, so I don't know how much "training is really happening)
crunches and butt squeezes.
 
(This is rhetorical, just so you know. . .I'm ranting) Someone please explain to me how I can GAIN 1.5 pounds eating and exercizing the way I do?! It's bad enough I'm hardly losing, but GAINING?!?! So mebody just shoot me. :|

I haven't been in for a few weeks due to vacation, I'll be stopping by once again. :)
 
I was gone for a bit, now I'm back. . .and I haven't lost any weight. I suck. (and I looked horrible in the Halloween pics).
Also, I started taking SlimFast this week, that's how fed up I am with the no weight loss thing.

Breakfast: oatmeal with a teaspoon of brown sugar a a small drizzle of maple syrup
Snack: Frappacino (dissertation at starbuck's)
Lunch: Trader Joe's Pacific Blue salad, "Green Protien" drink
Snack: other half of "Green Protein" drink
Dinner: will be veggie lasangna and salad
 
You don't suck, just in a funk. Welcome to the club! :willy_nilly:

Anyway, glad to see you back. Maybe you could join the Christmas challenge for a little motivation?
