Sweetpea: The Road to Me

I think the breakfast sandwich is a good idea... better than one from the drive thru! & protein is needed in the morning. Gotta get the brain & body going some how.

Good luck with dinner. (Do better than I just did!...dang boy wanted steak...& I had to too! argh..salad would have been better.)

What was in the homemade sandwich? It sounds good you know.

Your meals don't look too bad. Do you make your own gazpacho? I've never had it (that I can remember.)

It sounds good, but I'm sure the calories aren't. 2 slices sourdough bread (toasted), one scrabled egg, 2 slices bacon and two (small) slices of montery jack cheese.

The gazpacho is something I think my mom got from a magazine years ago. It is very good. I can type up the recipe if you want it. I have no idea how many calories it has.

BTW: dinner was this italian pasta thing (220 cals), a salad w/ lowfat dressing, and a glass of wine. Dessert was 100 cal popcorn.

Workout for 9/05/07

Elipical: 392 calories in 35 minutes
Lower body weight training for about a half hour
Stairmaster: 40 calories in about 5 minutes

Hmm. . .maybe I worked off that breakfast sanwich

Food 09/06/07
Breakfast: Slimfast
Snack: grapes (yummy goodness)
Lunch: lunch meeting in an hour, I ordered mixed veggies w/ chicken, I have no idea how many cals that is.

Sounds like it!

Hope that we both lose this week. You are completely right about what you mentioned in my place. Losing, however small it might seem, adds up over the long run & is soooo much better than gaining. :) Thanks.

Workout 9/08/07
Elliptical: 406 cals in 35 mins.
1/2 hour upper body weight training.

Then I went and had way too many cals on the following dinner: Honey's Kettle chicken (2 pcs.), fries, biscuit, and lemonade, because I stayed away from Honey's for 4 months and I wanted some. Let the recrimination begin.

Thanks. The sad thing is that I won't have time to workout today and I have 2 parties to go to. I have a policy. There's no such thing as "diet" when one is having fun with friends.

I used to feel the same way, and totally could not stand being picked on or questioned about what I was [or wasn't] eating. Now I split desserts with friends or avoid them if I feel like. And we try to do more out-going things as a general rule. [Picture a group of 24 yr olds playing at a park. lol! That's us!]

Have fun with your friends! :D

Yeah, no one picks on what I eat, but there's soooooooooooo much yummy stuff. So easy to go overboard.

Thanks for the encouragement. :)

Blueberry juice? That sounds awesome! And I love Mexican food.

Dinner: cheeseburger, chips, dip, 2 slices watermelon, 1.5 cookies, half a glass of wine

That wasn't too bad for a day of partying. :D I get myself in trouble with alcohol- lol! I'd be well on my way into weight-loss if I didn't drink like I do when I do.

09/09/07
Breakfat: donut and coffee (Sunday tradition)
Lunch: sushi, iced tea w/ lemon and sugar, 4 Hershy Kisses

Exercise:
Elliptical: 527 cals in 45 minutes
60 crunches, 30 side crunches (15 each side), and whatever it is I do with that grey ball.

Lookin' good there!

We do coffee and donuts too - I just didn't have one last week - got to Church late in fact.

Dh wasn't there because he and our oldest ds went on a wilderness hike with other men from our church. So it was just me and my youngest - he was all good with sneaking in late and grabbing one. ;)

I just slipped right past them. However, I found out a new Chinese buffet opened up - and I so want to go try it out. My dh won't fall for all my excuses to go....LOL

Breakfast: Slimfast (200 cals)
Snack: Vanilla Latte (worked on my dissertation at Starbucks)
Lunch: Slimfast (200 cals)
Snack: apple, 3 pieces of bread (leftovers from a lunch mtg.)
salad with a coworkers salad spritzer.
Dinner: soup (400 cals for the can), veggie lazagna (260 cals)

Workout: 395 cals and 35 mins on the elliptical (worked off the soup--or breakfast and lunch--wow)

Had to leave the gym early to run errands

Today is turning out to be a major cheat day. I had Slimfast for breakfast and Lean Cuisine for lunch, but when I got to work, there were treats, so I had 2 cookies and a piece of a bread thingie. And tonight at the group I help lead we're having a graduation of sorts so that means. . .potluck (and I'm bringing ice cream. I won't appologise).
