Sweetpea: The Road to Me

The first meeting was just the orientation, getting m measurements thing. The second meeting was 10 minutes cardio warmup on the bike (I streached before the session), and then the rest of the time was spent on 4 wt. machines where she took note of the weights I was doing. I was in the 80-90lb range for my legs and 10 lbs for my arms (I'm such a weakling!). I still have to schedule my 3rd session.

I'm heading to the gym early this afternoon, too.

Hello!

The personal trainer sounds really cool. My mom has one, but I don't. I get to trudge along by myself. :D

I noticed that you went horseback riding. That's great! And it's amazing exercise for your legs. I went for a "ponyride" on a big American Quater horse in an english saddle. Three times around the arean at a walk? My legs felt like i'd been running for 5 min.

Keep up the great work, and you'll be at your goal in no time!

It was a very easy ride. It had been years since I last went riding, but my mount had just come back from another ride and he was exhausted. I couldn't get a decent trot out of him, and once I realized how bad off he was, I just let him set the pace and was little more than a dead weight on his back (poor thing). I still had a grand time, though.

I worked out for about an hour and a half yesterday (cardio and weights), and will do the same tomorrow (class plus either weights or cardio, depending on my mood). Oddly enough, it sems to take a lot for me to get tired.

Ok, I seriously hope the muscle weighs more than fat" can account for the fluctuation between 184.5 and 185 with no additional weight loss for the past week. It's too soon to tell, visually, whether I'm looking better yet or not.

Yesterday: 55 minutes cardio (I love the machines, they're fun)
15-20 minutes on the weight machines (again, fun!)

Breakfast: 2 eggs w/ tablespoon of cheese, coffee w/ milk
Snack: carrots

definately the muscle counts. I suggest taking measurements if you haven't already to have two ways of tracking your progress. Weight and inches. Then, I know that you'll see changes. Keep up the good work, you're doing great so far!

Thanks. I've lost about an inch off my waist. . .not much. Plus, I wore the same dress I wore at Easter to my friend's wedding, so no, it doesn't even LOOK like I'm losing weight. Very discouraging.

I go to the gym 3-4 times a week, do 30-60 minutes of cardio and usually some weights. I've lost a total of 3 lbs since March (and yes, I'm eating responsibly). Somebody shoot me.

*rant over*

BTW, I'm back

It can really get to you at times. I quit awhile back because I just got sick and tired and for awhile it stayed off but slowly some of it came back. Just stick to your guns and it will come off..... no worries....

Thanks for the support. I miss the good ol' days where I'd put on a little weight during the school year and then lose it all in the summer. le sigh.

I so wanted to weigh myself today, but I'm trying to stick to the weekly thing, so I can't do it until Wednessday. I'm so happy that dang butterfly finally budged and now I just want it to keep going. Move dang it! Move! Maybe if I named it, I'd have a better relationship with it.

I weigh a bit more than you, but our goals are pretty much the same. I want to go from the 16-18 I'm in now to a 10, like I used to be. If you need someone to talk to, you can message me anytime. :] Keep up the good work!

Oh wouldnt that be nice again! I was the opposite, I gained over the summer & then lost it during the school year when the stress & time kicked in!

So did you name the butterfly or just swooshing it on down the line?

I haven't named it yet. Maybe I should name it "Swoosh". . . or Nike. . .but people will think I'm naming it for the shoe brand, and not the greek goddess of victory. Maybe I should name it "Victory". I'll have to think about it.

I weighed myself on Wednesday and I gained a half lb. So I' cheating at weighing myself again later today.

You were lucky. . .you got to look good during the school year around all the guys (yeah. . .I'm having a shallow moment. I don't have many of them, so bookmark this page for blackmail later. ;) )

So, now apparently I gained a pound and a half in a week (183 on Wednessday, 184 on Friday. Up from 182.5 last week.) So yeah, I'll scream next week if I haven't lost anything, or worse. . .gained more. It can't be muscle, I'm not any thinner regardless! Grrrr.

So I did an hour of cardio las night and burned 685 calories. I'm hoping that that will help with the dinner I ate last night (hot dog, chicken, spinich salad, oh, yeah and a brownie with ivce cream and hot fudge--I'd never had a brownie sundae before)

Also, the butterfly's name is Victoria. (The Roman counterpart to Nike).

I look forward to watching Victoria flutter downward... I know my star is on the rise upward this week.. (too much cake & junk this weekend, but it was a special occasion followed by another & another.. there should be a limit on those!). I refuse to move it up just yet.. (now thats shallow!).

Glad you got a name for it. :)

6 days later and no movement on the ol' tickler. Blech.

I was strangely wiped out last weekend (I woke up Saturday and couldn't get out of bed for an hour) by someweird exhaustion thing, but dangit, I ate less, too. Le sigh. I'll shut up now.
