SweatPea is going to sweat it all off...

I say this so often, that I should just make it my signature... Have you considered increasing your fiber intake -it definitely helps keep you full longer and keeps your digestive system moving more...

your calories for the day also look really low, it's no wonder you're starving... :)

Why are your clothes fitting horribly? too big - you m ight consider having them altered - to have hem fit a little better...

Hi Mal, I updated my cals. That was just for breakfast and lunch - now with my "dinner" and then the snacks - which I really did try to avoid. Chocolate is the debil!

I do try to eat veggies and such, and should get some in tonight to fill up the rest of my cal. void, but I don't think I'll get in 300 cals. Maybe some popcorn? I love me some popcorn, just don't want to over do it.

I did really good though (considering the candy) - there was a bunch of temptations - ask Belle - that we both avoided. Hot dogs w/ chili sauce, chips, fritos, etc. - brownies, cookies, candies, etc.

Then, I snagged a full size caramello bar and ate it once I got home. :( Anyway, I should've just left it because really it tasted kind of waxy.

I generally have no problems when it comes to digestion. ;) But thanks for the advice. I do need to listen to others as well as myself.

Forgot to add - my clothes are fitting too tight. :sigh: It's all because this last 20 or so pounds have come on in the last year.

Hey Hajni, thanks, I'll go thru the post and answer your questions so that I don't forget.

HI SweatPea, I understand you frustration and you being upset. I am sorry the scale is just so uncooperative!!
I know you have lost a considerable amount of weight in the past What did you exactly do the get there? I exercised and ate like 1500 cals or less - most of my weight was lost thru ediets. I just stuck to their meal plans for the most part. But then, it quit coming off and ediets kept giving me less and less calories. :( Did you monitor your calorie intake? Yes What kind of foods did you eat? Good ones for the most part. ;) And just how much did you exercise? I generally tried for at least 5 times per week - I exercise more now then I did then.

Oh, and today's number is just another fluctuation. As long as you did not eat around 6000 cal yesterday, there is no way you gained a pound, so don't worry about it. ( I was up exactly a pound today too) Oh I know, it's just disheartening you know...

I found that watching my food is more important than the exercise part. Of course exercise is important but if I slacked here and there it did not do as much "damage" as eating over my calorie allowance. I'm going to just get back to my old way of eating and quit complaining so much, I've gotten to reliant on convenience foods.
There are plenty of great foods you can eat on a lower calorie level and you don't have to be hungry. And eat 6 times a day, it helps with the hunger pangs. (I have them too. I eat breakfast around 6.30 am and by 9.00 am I am ready for my snack but I wait 10.00 am ) You'd think I'd do this more, since I did so in the past.
To eat the reduced calorie was hard the first two weeks...if you can make it without cheating... it will be a lot easier. A couple of biteful of food can be easily 100-200 calories extra. You're right!

Your exercise sounded awesome and you worked hard. sounds like DH was on the insensitive side this morning. Does he have any weight to lose? Yeah he does. He said he didn't say it to be neg. just realistic. My DH does not and does not understand how HARD it is...to say no to foods and go and work my butt off in the gym. And he never compliments either. Well you know we do that around here!
To me this weight loss journey was an every day thing since I started back in May (when I seriously started). I concentrated on it every day otherwise it is so easy to eat just a little bit more one day and skip an exercise the other... and it all adds up by the end of the week. You're right again!

Maybe you can post your exact foods you are eating that way people can give you ideas. I did that today - exactly!

Hope your week gets better from here.
Hajni

Thanks, I think I'm just having myself a pitty-party here. I know what I should be doing, but just am not doing everything I can. Thanks for being a good weight loss buddy!

Just remember to breath.

Hopefully the scale will start cooperating. Til then just gotta keep on doing the right thing.

Wish I had better advice, but I understand how you feel. It gets so frustrating. I have to have faith that it all will work in the long run.

Thanks MG! :hug2:

I joined Ediets as well back in February of this year I think. And it helped me greatly by realizing what a portion size was and also combining protein and carbs and fruits with every meal. I wasn't following it first to a T and found that I was not losing at all. I always somehow nibbled on some extra calories.... But then I made up my mind in May and pulled out all those printed recipes and meal plans and used them as a guideline and kind of made up my own as I went.
Oh, and I eat a lot of convenience food as well. It is so much easier to look a L.C. pizza and see that it is 300 cal then try to make something and calculate the calories... way too time consuming. Even that I know I could be eating a lot healtier... All that sodium...

I remember when I joined here in July I was at wits end.. the weight did not want to go anywhere I was like in a stand-still and it was sooo discouraging. I know how you feel but also you DO have the willpower to pull through, you have done it in the past...
Its a mind game... once you made up your mind.. nothing can stop you!!!
I know you can do it SweatPea!!!! Come on girl, don't let that scale have the last word...LOL
Hajni

Updated my cals last night - since I got a little snack crazy - I guess. I was trying to make sure I wasn't too far under, because I know that 1200 some was too low. Then went over my target.

Oh well it's not as bad as it could be. And I know I should've snacked better.

:sigh:

Afternoon Sweatpea! I know what you mean about the snacking, I had one of those weekends myself. I tried to eat good, but...... it just didn't happen, not that I ate alot, it's just nothing had any good value to it. This week is a new beginning, lets do IT!!!! No bad stuff, all good food from here to Friday. I'll be watching you!! :) Good Luck!
Kim

Hi Sweatpea--love the name!
Have seen you out on the posts and wanted to officially say hello:)

And thanks for the rep you are my first:p LOL.

So nice to see that we are not alone in our snack attack days! But hey maybe the sugar will give your metabolism a little nudge huh?

Anyway have a great day & I look forward to the Holiday challenge w/you!

i think we can all valge for that. Snacking is a con for me. If I get too bored or really just go into a binge.

But I think im feeling the same kind of thing as you are. My cal intake for that day is low but I still feel like I over ate and then I kind of feel upset. I know I did ok but think I could have done better.

But try to keep the snacking to fruits and good stuff. I always have grapes handy and for my sweet tooth 40cal no sugar added fudge pops hits the spot.

Hi Sweatpea

Just joined the online chat group for weight loss and read your posts. How are you doing with your weight loss. Your description of your diets (ongoing) sound a lot like me and mine! :)

Hi Irene. Nice to "meet" you. I will be checking around see if I can find more about you. Thanks for stopping in.

Laura - I should've went for the popcorn, but then I thought nah, I'll do something lighter. Then I ended up with more cals anyway. I did really good today - of course, the day isn't over.

FreaksGirl - Can't wait to start the holiday challenge. Nice to "meet" you and thanks for stopping by!

Miss LB - I'm right there with you. I actually got something healthy while I was out and about running errands. Usually I go for a nice spicey chicken sandwich from Wendy's. But this time went with the grilled chicken wrap and parfait - and you know what it was gooooooood! Belle's been telling me how good it was, and I finally found out.

Today has been a great day for me. Now I just got to figure out why I have a headache.

Hey Sweetie~
Sorry I wasn't "here" this weekend to help you thru.
At least not "here" on the forum. I knew you were upset on Sunday when we talked but considering we didn't have much time we really weren't able to go into to much. I was absolutely appalled by what hubby said. So sorry about that.
Even my man said that was a stupid thing to say. And he has said some dumb things before. He even admitted to that fact. Knowing that, he said he would never ever tell me what "J" said.
I think that you are doing wonderfully. You have become much more conscience of the things that you are eating and that is 1/2 the battle.
On the exercising side of it you got it beat hands down. I really think that here real soon your going to see a change.
And I am so proud of you for stopping at the arches and getting the snack wrap and parfait. I know that is not your fav place to eat. So KUDOS for stepping out of your comfort zone!
Perhaps we need to get together this week and go walk the trails? Since the skitter bugs are gone and the weather is crisp and cool it would be a nice hike.
Let me know....Ok?
Remember I lub ya!!! :beating:
And if you need me I am but a phone call away......and yes the phone is charged now! LOL:rotflmao:

Hi SweatPea,

Your food selection looks great!! Wow, you drink soy-milk!!! Congrats, I can't stomach the thing. Hubby drinks it all the time and I cook with it when the food calls for milk but I can not make myself drink it...
Keep up the good work, keep on track and you will see those lbs leaving you..
Have a great day.
Hajni

Good morning -

Belle - thanks I know I can count on you. :)

Yarm - thanks for the support!

Hajni - I like the lite vanilla soy. I did have it with my oatmeal this morning too.

So today's a brand new day - and I'm still in the mode. :D

I will post more later...as soon as I'm done here I've got a date with the treadmill and elliptical!

Sure enough! Just got done with 1.90 miles on the elliptical and 2.15 miles on the treadmill!
