HI SweatPea, I understand you frustration and you being upset. I am sorry the scale is just so uncooperative!!
I know you have lost a considerable amount of weight in the past What did you exactly do the get there?
I exercised and ate like 1500 cals or less - most of my weight was lost thru ediets. I just stuck to their meal plans for the most part. But then, it quit coming off and ediets kept giving me less and less calories.
Did you monitor your calorie intake?
Yes What kind of foods did you eat?
Good ones for the most part.
And just how much did you exercise?
I generally tried for at least 5 times per week - I exercise more now then I did then.
Oh, and today's number is just another fluctuation. As long as you did not eat around 6000 cal yesterday, there is no way you gained a pound, so don't worry about it. ( I was up exactly a pound today too)
Oh I know, it's just disheartening you know...
I found that watching my food is more important than the exercise part. Of course exercise is important but if I slacked here and there it did not do as much "damage" as eating over my calorie allowance.
I'm going to just get back to my old way of eating and quit complaining so much, I've gotten to reliant on convenience foods.
There are plenty of great foods you can eat on a lower calorie level and you don't have to be hungry. And eat 6 times a day, it helps with the hunger pangs. (I have them too. I eat breakfast around 6.30 am and by 9.00 am I am ready for my snack but I wait 10.00 am )
You'd think I'd do this more, since I did so in the past.
To eat the reduced calorie was hard the first two weeks...if you can make it without cheating... it will be a lot easier. A couple of biteful of food can be easily 100-200 calories extra.
You're right!
Your exercise sounded awesome and you worked hard. sounds like DH was on the insensitive side this morning. Does he have any weight to lose?
Yeah he does. He said he didn't say it to be neg. just realistic. My DH does not and does not understand how HARD it is...to say no to foods and go and work my butt off in the gym. And he never compliments either.
Well you know we do that around here!
To me this weight loss journey was an every day thing since I started back in May (when I seriously started). I concentrated on it every day otherwise it is so easy to eat just a little bit more one day and skip an exercise the other... and it all adds up by the end of the week.
You're right again!
Maybe you can post your exact foods you are eating that way people can give you ideas.
I did that today - exactly!
Hope your week gets better from here.
