Sunshine's Diary - lets give it a shot

Haha, jeff, I actually hate rollerblading but am trying it out because the hubby enjoys it, I'm very unbalanced.

-->Went for 10 minutes on a bike (just around the neighborhood) and yikes, I need to get into that, I am pooped. I figured biking would be easier than blading.

Well going to go eat some protein ish things...still waiting for the supply list lady to call...lol

hey there chica!!! looks like you are at least getting the exercise in =)

I hate hate hate eating out, but I love love love the food!!! lol... Sometimes it helps (especially with a chain) to plan your meal before you go if you can find their nutritional information online... especially if you are doing it often.

The nutrition and recipe thread usually has some really good, easy, healthy recipes that you don't need to be a brain surgeon to make... so that helps too - whenever I'm busy, I check out something from there =)

take care, and drink more water!!!

oh! I had dinner with the future-in-laws twice this past weekend - ahhhhh too much family and too much information!!!! ;)

Still 168 - but the scale looked like it was tipping a bit towards 167 today, so I'm hoping to push it over with a nice healthy day. It's overcast so that makes for good outdoor time. My parents are coming over to do some gardening - definitely good exercise since we are hauling dirt all over the place.
Hoping to also go on a bike ride/roller blade or something of that nature.

Breakfast:
2 Graham crackers (I need to get over them soon but they are yummy in the AM)
1 bowl of instant oatmeal. Didn't eat breaky until 11ish, so ...I don't know why that's relevent. lol

Lunch:
Tomato Sandwich with Mayo
Probably something else that I don't remember right now...lol

Dinner
Pork chop (small)
boiled potatos
Carrots
Salad (w/ catalina dressing)
Thanks for the pre-planning advice - that's definitely a good idea - scare myself out of eating the crappy foods before I go and plan for something healthier ;)

Not a bad food day, We did the gardens today - a LOT of work...I was just going out for a bike ride but it started raining - went out for about 6 minutes before it got to be too wet - i tried ;)

~nic~

I need to start keeping track of how much water I drink, I'm guessing it's around 6 glasses a day - not quite enough but not bad. I might try that elastic thing where you have 10 and move them aside every time you drink water?

Breakfast:
Instant Oatmeal
2 Graham Crackers *YUM* lol

I've decided to do random situps and push ups throughout the day...just to help build some muscle...
So far
30 push ups (I'm HORRIBLE at them)
40 sit ups (it's been awhile for the abs) lol

Being unemployed certainly brings on the lazyness, despite gardening outside all day yesterday I still feel like I sleep WAY too much (sleeping in till 10).
The part time job lady called me and I start Monday - but it will only end up being like 8 hours a WEEK :S...not much, but something I guess.

Still no calls for supply teaching this week - not cool

~Nic~

Oooh, supply taught 7 & 8 today, good day - woohoo!! Quick post cause I'm going out for food (probably junk food but we'll see)

Breakfast:
NONE

Lunch:
Canelloni Lean Cuisine

Snack: Graham Crackers

Water: 2 water bottles

--> Not much to eat - They called me at 7:45am and I had to be AT the school ready to go for 8:30am, lol. HECTIC morning

Okay, well I won't go into excessive details on my day yesterday but it royally sucked. My parents are still battling - and it's not looking good which of course adds stress to my life :S.

ALSO while I was attempting to make my mothers day gift (Printing photos etc). I DROPPED my laptop and the screen broke which of course sent me into a rage, lol. This is my THIRD laptop in a year (though the other two were damaged NOT by me - more manufacturer defects). I am soooo mad that it's broken, and I called in to see how much a new screen would be and the guy said at LEAST $500 depending on the model, and I do NOT have that kind of money.
Luckily I can plug my moniter in and still use the laptop as a stationary computer, but that's dumb because I didn't buy it for that.

Okay, done ranting

Food: Not good, these last few days have been crappy in the food department and it's showing in the weight department. BLEH! I need to get back on track FAST - My new goal is to use stress as amotivator for exercise NOT an excuse to eat and laze around.
Wish me luck ladies ;)

Has anyone heard of or used Hoodia?

Sorry to all Ihave been neglecting with the journal reading - just hectic times in the life of me.

Okay So someone somewhere postedthis cool walking program that gets you jogging up to 30 minutes. I am going to give it a try. Every other day you just walk regular so I'm going to find a walking buddy for those days and do the jogging ones on my own. That's my goal. I need you all to be mean and yell at me on the days I don't get my butt in gear.
SOo: TO start out well - on a Monday no less, I am going to put on my runners and start my new program -hopefully I don't come back on later tonight saying I avoided it, lol
~Nic~

I did it!:jump: Well almost - the site says 30 minutes I did 27 (leaving out one round of walking and one of running) but considering running kills my knees and ankles I think I did awsome! :)
Hopefully I can keep it up! Tomorrow is just walking so that should be easier! lol.

WOOHOO

~nic~

I don't remember who posted the site, but this is what I'm following:

Great Job with the workout today!! Thanks for all the support and advice you've given me! It's great to have that. Keep up the good work!

The running/walking sound great. I am like you, though, it KILLS my knees and ankles. Keep up the good work! Did you ever go to that interview...how did it go? I guess I could just go back and read your diary, eh?

Hope you have a great day!

Hey! I have the one part time job, but the other one hasn't called yet so we'll see.

Okay, I need to DO SOMETHING about this weight loss thing - I am back to ZERO motivation and went to East Side Marios for lunch - the only good choice I made was to have water instead of pop. lol.
I know I HAVE to lose weight before the wedding or else my dress will not fit properly and it's only like 10-15 pounds, but I just can't seem to get jump started long term....Argh

~Nic~

Want me to come kick you in the butt? lol

I have another friend who was lagging in motivation and I threatened to run behind her on the treadmill with a fork. Run or be stabbed in the tushy! lol

Seriously, though, I hope you can find your motivation. (picture me after you with a fork making this face----> <----those are the eyes of a wild woman on a misson, I tell you. You don't want to mess with that...people could get hurt.

I'm trying to lose weight for my wedding as well..I lose motivation sometimes too because mine isn't till next summer...but I just think about how good I'll look in my dress after i lose weight! and how I can't let my best friend look better than me! lol I know it sounds selfish and vain..but it gives me the motivation..It's my day and I wanna look good!

Hey I haven't stopped by in a while so just thought I would.
Grats on landing a job! I hope you get a FT one soon.
I need a job too so I can move the hell out of my in laws. They are driving me nuts!!

Not much progress for me - hoping that motivation stuff kicks in soon. Tomorrow I am going to check out CURVES with my mom - an exercise program that I'm hoping will keep me in check, and it's only 30 minutes a day (not counting driving there etc). So hopefully it's fun and something I can managed to keep up with

Going to CURVES tonight (6pm) - they will spend some time measuring me and telling me how fatty my body is (lol vs. muscle). Then I do the 30 minute workout. I'm hoping it's fun (and not too depressing). I have a free one week pass, and then I'm hoping to join the one that's close to me
