Hi Juliette! I had a wonderful day, thanks. Didn't get enough studying done though. :eek: My friend made it through the first round of Canadian Idol auditions, so he spent the whole evening at my house singing songs for me so I could help him pick his songs for the next round. lol

* "Garge" is what the infamous George Street is often referred to. Many Newfoundlanders drag their O sounds out like A sounds, making George sound more like Garge. "Garge" is a world-famous street here in St. John's that consists of nothing but bars. It's just 2 blocks long, with 22 bars. It's holds the record for having the most bars per square foot in North America, or something like that.

** B'y is a very common Newfie slang. It's literally "boy", but pronounced "b'y". We use it like most people would use "man". Like, "How's it going b'y?"

I saw the pictures--outstanding. That many bars, good music, and pretty girls--I have to check out New Foundland one of these years. I live one block from Western in Chicago which is home of the Southside Irish parade. Its actually bigger than the downtown St. Pats parade in Chicago. We have about 30 Irish bars on a one and a half mile stretch. They have a lot of names for it. As long as the drunks don't keep me up at night its pretty fun.
 
Haha. Yes, George St. is party central. There's really nothing like it. If you're ever in the province, you MUST go to George St and get screeched in.

Well, if you're like most of the girls on George, you'll wear very little. :p It's not because they're skanks, it just gets far too warm when there are thousands of people in a very small space. Haha

So, once again I have zero time to spend online. I feel like I'm missing out on stuff! Don't let the place get too exciting without me. I can't wait til Thursday at 2:00, when I'm officially finished with this semester. Exam time makes me feel like I don't have time for anything. Luckily, my mom is here til Wednesday, so she's been cooking and cleaning for me. Haha. I've managed to make time for exercise, which I'm proud of. I haven't been getting to the gym, but I've been doing TaeBo and going for walks. Going to the gym would take up too much time just to get there and back, which I can't afford right now. I do miss it though. :( I like feeling as though I've worked out really hard. I hope the scale is still kind to me on Monday's weigh-in.
Anyway, I have to take off once again. *sigh* Missing you all very much!
