I completely agree about the starvation thing. I, too, used to think that the fewer calories I took in the more chance I had of losing weight. Since really educating myself over the last few months I have seen real results from just the opposite. Right now I am using an app to record my calories and exercise. It tells me that I should be eating about 1500 calories a day and this will result in a 2 lb weight loss per week. I have lost almost 24lbs in 3 months so it seems to be right on track (even though I have cheated a bit along the way
). Instead of taking in fewer calories I stick to a comfortable amount and then add in lots of water and exercise to jumpstart my metabolism. We seem to be in similar situations as I started at 240 and am looking to lose about 80lbs. I am sure different things work for different people, just wanted to let you know of something that could help. I wish I had realized this all a long time ago! It is hard, but I feel much more positive about myself already and it is so worth all of the hard work. I know you will accomplish your goal and look forward to watching your progress!
