Stuco's Diary

Hey! Thanks for posting on my journal! You are doing great! I don't think I could handle weighing myself every single day, though. The reason just because your weight fluctuates throughout the week, so weighing in every day can get kind of confusing and even a little frustrating at times. I try to weigh myself on the same day each week or two weeks, right when I wake up, after I use the bathroom. It's more exciting to wait, and I also if I mess up one day I feel I can make it up the next day. But everyone is different, so if weighing in every day is the way you like it, then keep it up! 5 pounds in the first week is excellent!

meadowscm, Everyone has their own thing that works for them. Neither is better than the other. It just works for me to weigh everyday to stay on track. Thanks everyone.

Day 8 cont.

I had an egg and cheese sand. on wheat for breakfast(don't know how many calories)

For lunch I had a fruit cup and a microwave ravioli(250)calories

Also, went on a walk/jog(95% walk) Just can't run for long distances yet. Feeling my muscles working under my fatitude.

For dinner I ate a little too much, some weight watchers sloppy joes, a little chips and hummus, a few baked lays bbq chips and a little corn. Don't know how many calories but I'm guessing ballpark about 2800 for the day oh yeah two beers(bud light)

how are the weight watchers sloppy joes?

Friggin' great, that's why I always eat too much. My girlfriend uses a recipe in one of her WW books. It's got kinda high calories(like 400 per serving with bun,I think) She uses big chunks of tomatos...mmmm

Day 9

Weight-277lbs

It's actually 277.8 but I've started rounding down to the whole number to really push myself. I'm pretty happy with the numbers thus far and I appreciate the support. I will update with my food and exercise for the day. Thanks for reading

Hi Patrick. When I started, I had 80 lbs. to lose, so I know it can be a bit daunting at first. But it looks like you're well on the way! Good work!

I weigh myself every day, and record the reading on a spreadsheet. But I also keep a 5 day moving average, so that evens out the fluctuations a bit. LOL, that way if my daily weight dips, I can get encouraged from that, but if it goes up, I focus on the moving average, which isn't as bad.

I'll be checking in now and then to see how you're doing.

Thanks alot Tom, It's nice to see another guy who has approx. the same weight to lose.

Oh, way to go on your weight loss so far.

Day 9 cont.

Breakfast I had a bowl of cheerios and 2% milk.

For lunch I had a leftover Weight Watchers Sloppy joe on wheat bread and an apple sauce cup. I put a little hot sauce and a good bit of light ranch on the sandwhich.

Lots of water.

what a great place to go walking...

Applachian Trail - have you ever read Bill Bryson's book - A Walk in the Woods? :)

Yep I've read it recently actually and really liked it. It's not the appalachian trail actually but the pinhoti that is near me. The AT starts a little farther north. Cheers

Day 9 final

For dinner I had ANOTHER leftover sloppy joe with hot sauce and ranch and apple sauce. All in all a good day, I hope I can keep pulling the numbers I've been but if I don't that's ok too as long as I'm dropping weight. Thanks for reading guys.

Lost another pound today. I'll update with diet and exercise for the day. Thanks for reading.
