Stopinthe excuses & starting a diary

Apparently, according to my nutritionist its the pseudo estrogens in soy, tofu etc...that will help my hormone imbalance and therefore help me w/ my weight reduction. I didnt do much today for exercise..just did my toning for 40 min.. no cardio..was very tired. I find i need to do my cardio in the manana or it aint gonna happen!

todays food

B: 1 pkt oatmeal w/ 1 banana
soy latee no sugar

S: handful unsalted nuts, 1 plum

L: mixed greens salad w/ lean turkey breast & swiss, 2 tbsp humus instead of dressing, 1 4 oz yogurt

S: handful of nuts

D: 3 oz grilled steak, leftover tofu w/ roasted veggies, & bean salad

water 128 oz
green tea 16 oz
supplements-check!

exercise 40 min toning, abs etc
 
Hmmm i see sounds very interesting something ill be looking into :) thanks K, i do weights in the am and cardio in the pm, but ive dropped cardio for a few days bc it was so hot. glad its cooled down i can get to it again :D
 
Found some low carb no sugar cookies that are really good..it was nice to have a "treat"

Ok.. I think I found out why people dont play tennis in the rain..the ball gets soaked it its like hitting a soccer ball w/ a tennis racket..ummmphhh ! yikes! PLus you get an additional shower of water..which is always nice..

iced coffe w/ soy milk

D: baked chic w/ spagetti sauce over spagetti squash ... w/ 1/4 c parm ch.

Thanks L.. I kinda slipped a bit last nite...had some whole grain pasta w/ my meal instead of the spag sq..just really wanted some pasta..it is a whole grain w/ milled flax oil but its weird because i felt hungrier after..unreal huh! I guess there is something about those carbs that makes sense.

I dont know what im doing for a workout..probably one of my tapes as its raining..AGAIN! here ... and decided against playing tennis in it this morning.
I so need new sneaks too..mine are shot..ive killed them
 
Hmm could be true i know if i eat pasta like carbs im hungrie later than i would have been if i ate something else. at least it was a multigrain pasta, you added oils and protein the GI is lower then. ugh sucks when it rains all the time it finally looks like its clearing up here :) have fun doing your tape :) (i so need runners too, can never have enough shoes :rolleyes: )
 
huh... thats what i tell my hubby.. but he always has such a fit when he sees all these shoes in the closet and the fact that i still need more :-DLOL..what does he know.

I found some nice walkers on New Balances website..i think im gonna buy them
they are like $74..not too bad i guess
 
Yes! I'm just starting to get into shoes! I really need a pair of new sneakers for working out, I've always been partial to Vans. $74 sounds pretty good for New Balances. I think you're doing great, and flax is good for you!
 
Yes my h has the nerve to tell me i have too many shoes when he has more than me!!! men lol.
i love shoes!! i think its bc as women it doesnt matter what size you are big or small you can always fit in a great pair of shoes(cute ones too) :)
74$ for new balance is a great deal theyre like over 100$ here( but im cnd lol)
 
Thanks ladies... I have to say I found the NB online and that was better than the prices I find in the stores here. Im just wondering if its still worth it w/ the shipping costs..have to check into it.

Well..its my weighing in day and I havent lost any weight this week...very bummed...but im premenstal & that can play a major role in that... so I will be patient..at least i didnt gain..good Lord..that wouldve put me right over the edge. Im giving up carbs to GAIN wt! Hello!

B: oatmeal pkt w/ fresh blueberries & 1 egg scrambled
coffee w/ skim milk

no snack..ate at 8:30am

L: mixed green salad w/ mushrooms & chic peas , 1/2 c cottage cheese & ff french dressing. 1 4 oz cup of soy milk, 1 cup of cooked spinach w/ vinegar

S: handful of nuts no salt, 1 pear

D: 1 bowl of chili w/ 2 slices of cheese (swiss) melted.. 1 4oz glass of soy milk

all supplements taken on time...I take probably 20 a day at least
water 100 oz
green tea 20 oz
exercise: 1 hr walking , 1/2 hr playing frisbee... actually got a sweat on... it was fun!
crunches right after this

I have to say Im amazed how much more energy i have w/ out the starch & carbs...amazing!
 
Hmmm yes its probably bc your premenstral(i always stay the same when i get to that time), i mean your carbs are way lower than before and youve kept up with the exercise, i wouldnt be surprised if you lost some by next week though your doing good :)

I really am cutting so much food wise & taking my supplements & working so hard..to not see the scale go down its a bummer..but i need to do my measurements again & see what they say. I went swimming today...still not thrilled w/ the way i look in a suit but it is better than it was. The water was chlly but it was a gorgeous day & sooo enjoyable to sit w/ the kids & just play.

Exercise: 1 hr power walk & cool down
did 3.5 miles in 40 min... pickin up the pace!
 
Youll get em next week im sure, those inches probably went down too. oooo you just reminded me i need a new bathing suit :eek: damn i hate bathing suit shopping ugh.glad you had fun swimming, congrats on picking up the pace too! :D

I'm sorry you'r having a bad day there! Just keep your chin up, tommorrow is bound to be better! (did u see the 20 pound club is starting up again?)
