Stopinthe excuses & starting a diary

Well..according to that new website that i think mike found..it looks like im where i should be..ive been about 2100 a day..so i guess im ok. Yeah..meatless meat sauce..jeeez your right..ill just call it tomato sauce :-D LOl..too funny.
Im going to a farmer's market today..cant wait..get all kinds of veggies and fruits and stuff...of course ill avoid the pastries like they are anthrax!
 
Well..forgot to post since friday morning... so here is today..Sunday
B: 2 slices of anadama bread homeade & 1 peach, coffee w/ ff creamer
went out on my mountain bike for 4 mile ride...plenty of hills
S: protein shake

L: basmati brown rice w/ roasted veggies, chic or turkey..something along w/ it...maybe tofu :-D
1 glass of soy milk

D: had a spinach salad small w/ lots of veggies, no bacon or eggs, had 3 slices of breaded eggplant w/ feta on it. yumm..2 glasses of wine. 1 glass of soy milk


Loved the farmers market..got lots of great fresh veggies & fruits..the peaches are to die for! drip right down your chin..yumm yumm!

water : not so good on the water today..maybe 60 oz


probably do the elliptical later maybe for 20 min
arm weights also & abs

Yeah, junk food is totally cheaper. :mad:

I love the farmer's market too. It's often cheaper than the grocery store, and the best thing is your money is going straight to the farmers, instead of to the grocery store!
 
I agree... it is so much nicer to deal straight w/ the farm instead of paying the overhead from the grocery store & its fresher & you get to see the faces of the people you are supporting..its a nice feeling i think. I bought some anadama bread from them that was amazing...its just like what my grammy used to make.
Today ive done ok..but no exercise...
B: 2 slices of anadama w/ margarine 1 peach,
coffee w/ sugar free creamer

S: 1 small apple & 1 cup of soy milk

L: 1 cup basmati rice w/ roasted veggies, rest of my salad from last nite.

S: 1 slice of wheat bread w/ 1 tbsp PB & 1 cup of skim choc milk..needed a sugar fix.

D: going mexican..gonna try to be good... having an apple before i get there to try to curb my appetite... wish me like..ill be back to let you know

water : not great..about 80 oz
 
I did pretty well..I had a glass of wine...which i didnt finish cuz it came out in a freekin fish bowl..I had probably a normal glass of wine size out of it. I ordered chimichanga w/ chic and only ate half of it. I shared a dessert w/ my friend and we had a soy lattee after...so not too bad. I was happy w/ myself as i wasnt so full and dying when i left ya know...like i would have normally been. I do feel like maybe i had too much sodium as my fingers feel a bit punky..plus the humidity isnt helping...
 
you did awesome K!!, i so would have over eaten i love mexican! im sure your using some of your water retaining tricks to get the water retention down :)
 
Woops...forgot to post yesterday..I had to work extra- did 11 hrs on the computer for the end of the month yesterday...i was wiped out.
No exercise yesterday..hopefully today will be better

food for Tues

L: 1 6inch sweet chic teriyaki sub from subway-extra veggies
1 glass of soy milk, 1/2 cup sugar free pudding

S: protein shake

D: 2 hotdogs 1 bun, 1/2 c saurkraut & 1/2 cup baked beans, 1/2 cup coleslaw
1 glass of wine after

water 100 oz

Today:

B: 2 slices of anadama bread w/ coffee

S: 1 slice of homeade zucchini bread

L: friendlies - going to lunch w/ the kids...probably have a salad

not sure about the rest..ill be back

Exercise: i will be doing 30 min on the elliptical since its still raining out! uggh!
water : at least 100 oz

L: low carb turkey wrap w/ veggies no cheese, had 2 munchkins (couldnt resist) 1 cup of soy milk

S: 1 oz turkey breast, 1 oz soy cheese, 1 apple
1/2 handful of nuts...hungry

D: cereal or eggs? not sure..somethin easy

Water: 100 oz
Exercise: went for 30 min power walk today..but didnt warm up right and now my knee is killing me! great! Gonna do some stretches tonight and no elliptical, due to walk in the am and dont want to be laid up.

Please tell me how you go about with your water drinkage!!!....I'ts not that I hate water...its remembering to drink it.....Its weird ..I have drank more water in the past 3 weeks than I did in the last 4 months..yet Ifeel soo bloated.....
I am bad about warming up before exercising and I usualy pay for it....my knees and hips.....
Keep up the good hard work1
 
i hope your knee is better today :) and your right about the scale lol i step on it and my mood will totaly depend on what it says i with ya on this one.im not steeping on it till monday..your still doing great K!
 
I went for a walk this morning..did 3 miles & pushed it... really felt it which surprised me as ive been biking and doing my elliptical..but its all different muscle groups i guess

food today
B: oatmeal w/ pears, 1 tsp brown sugar, 1 slice of whole wheat bread
soy lattee

S: 1/2 bran muffin

L: protein shake w/ half turkey prov. sandwich w/ hummus & some sliced cukes

S: 1/4 cup ice cream...shared it w/ my little one

D: 1/2 an ear of corn, 1 chic sausage w/ roasted apples, leeks & carrots...yummy!
1 glass of red wine

dessert: 2 gingersnaps

water 90 oz
Exercise: power walked for 45 min *includes my cool down and warm up
Also did lots of house work & went to a farmers market & a local farm & walked alot...

Im going to miss the farmer's markets but im buying extras & going to blanche them and freeze them tomorrow... making some zucchini bread also..gotta save summer if i can

Thanks for all the great encouragement... My knee is much better today, did more warm ups and stretches today
 
Today... decided to do the Christina thing & mow my lawn!
I found the old push mower... put gas in the old heap & mowed the front lawn which took me over an hr..plus i weed wacked!
I couldnt believe how tired i was....I also went on a 3 mile bike ride before...so maybe that added to my fatigue.

B: 2 slices of homeade cherry bread w/ 1 peach & coffee

S: handful of pretzels w/ soy cheese

L; turkey breast 3 slices w/ leftover veggies & roasted apples

S: 2 slices of white american w/ 10 triscuits

D: lots & lots of green beans, 1 small piece of steak w/ 1/2 a chic breast grilled, 1/2 cup of potato salad, 1 slice of my zucchini bread (just out of the oven)
1 lite beer

Water 100 oz
Exercise: mowing & weed wacking: 1.5 hrs
Bike riding w/ the kids: 30 min
 
You are really working it!!!...As crazy as this sounds I wish I had a lawn to mow....I think that is a really good work out....maybe I should go around the neighboor hood and volunteer to do some ones yard......ummm on second thought maybe not...lol...I would get one strip done and fall over....
 
LOL... I was dead the next day...and then we have done lots of moving wheelbarrows of mulch & moving rocks, edging gardens..etc... just lots of outdoor heavy work...but it was a great workout & great to be outside.
My food wasnt perfect this weekend..went to the fair on Sunday and had some fried dough..not too much, we all shared but enough to be naughty:-D We walked for hours though and also had done several wheelbarrow loads of mulch earlier..so i didnt feel so bad.
I am not unhappy w/ my food entirely & my workouts were just workin outside..but im sore & tired..so i know it was good.
My water intake was good both Sunday & Monday... 100 oz each day

School starts for my 8 yr old tomorrow... thank God!
Im off to make lunches :-D see you all tomorrow!
