Stopinthe excuses & starting a diary

Another gorgeous beauteous day today...I so loved my walk this morning...was a little stiff from doin tennis last nite & i never worked out anymore yesterday...i was too tired. I had some popcorn last nite too & a piece of choc...so i was a little loggy until i got moving this morning.

B: breakfast burrito w/ loads of veggies (didnt eat all the tortilla) & some sausage in it also..it was soo yummy. I also had a 1/4 of a blueberry pancake. Ive been wanting pancakes so my walking buddy & I ordered one and split it up and we ate so little we actually left 1/2 of the pancake. We just wanted a taste. Soo good
coffee w/ cream & no sugar

not sure about the rest yet.

Exercise..
walked 2 miles...going on a hike this afternoon also w/ the baby in the back pack so that should add a few extra cal burned :-D
crunches 140...kickin it up 40 more...
 
yummmm pancakes...I've been craving them too. I bought a wheat pancake batter mix to try this weekend hopefully they will come out good.
You are doing a fantastic job, keep it up:)
 
Mmmmm. i love pancakes, my inlaws make their own maple syrup, cant beat the real stuff on a stack of pancakes, making me crave some right now lol. good for you,its fun when you do exercise and you love it,doesnt seem like a chore and makes you look forward to doing it, keep up the great work your doing awesome :D
 
Ugh, I want pancakes now!!

Wheat pancakes are awesome, I like them much better then the regular ones. I think I'll wait until I drop a few pounds before trying them again, I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to eat just one. hehe.
 
I love the carbs..but i have to say I feel sooo much better when i avoid the simple carbs and only do a few complex carbs a day... more protein is always best for me. I love the whole wheat ones also..they are very yummy.

L: had a panini w/ pesto, tomatoes & mozzarella & a 4 oz vanilla yogurt, iced tea unsweetened.

S: peanut granola bar, 5 slices of turkey pepperoni
1 4 oz glass of skim milk
weird combo...

not sure about dinner...No one wanted to hike w/ me and the bugs were bad...so to save the kids especially i went for a walk by the lake..very leisurely though.. probably burned nothing much...bummer...have to do more later
 
Ok.. Dinner...
1.5 cups of leftover turkey veggie pot pie, 1 slice of whole wheat bread w/ 1 tbsp of lite cream cheese & 2 tbsp of taboli, side salad w/ ff dressing.

dessert : a skinny cow ice cream sandwich..just bought them and they look yummy ...this one is choc mint..one of my fav flavors..

this morning woke up and hit the tennis court at 6am...played until 7 & then went out and built another rock garden for an hr. Going to probably do more later...definetely do my crunches & my 8lb wts later

Trying to plan for a couple of 5K walks and maybe a 10k... everyone in my family thinks Im nuts...they think im rushing it or pushing too hard... wow..unreal, i thought id get some support
 
I know how you feel on the support thing....my boyfriend hates it when I get up and go powerwalk, and when I take time away in the evenings to go to the gym. People not in your shoes can't understand how you feel, your determination is amazing, I really wish family would be more supportive, just don't get down about it, keep plugging away. :D
 
K girl im behind you all the way,i know what its like not to have support my DH is only starting to come around (bout freaking time lol), but im here for ya girl and i so know you can do it!!! 5-10K you can do it, only you know how far you can push your self, dont let your family get you down, set the bar girl and go for it, :D :) :D
 
I was in tears this morning as Im trying to discuss w/ my idiot husband about this 10K coming up and he couldnt have been less interested and basically told me that im not ready for that..and he cant help w/ the kids that day anyway... and then he left. Unreal! I should tell him i cant cook for him anymore either...see how that goes, or wash his crap..etc etc.
Hmm that would turn things around. No, im doing this for me and because I deserve to feel good about me..even if he doesnt think so.
 
well...lunch went different than planned..I kinda ate a bit too many cal so now my dinner will have to stay low. I had a cob salad at Mcdys but i had the crispy chic on it which i love and the dressing w/ a small fry.. all in all it came to 720 cal..but i was stil hungry cuz i think the high carbs made me that way so i had a 4 oz yogurt too... so my dinner has to be around 400 cal... I did have a protein shake 3 hrs later & i feel better now.. I dont know why i think i can even eat those fries..they make me feel like crap even though i didnt even finish the stupid small.
empty cal leads to no energy! Now Im off to do my weights and do my crunches before i have to figure out dinner.
 
Yah.. i do know. I think things seem better today as we had a long talk last nite.. He says he didnt realize he wasnt being supportive-duhh! Anyway... he has been better today and even though its rainy and crapy we've gotten alot done today..working on our basement.
I havent exercised today and maynot today...not sure yet

Sounds like you're still doing great on the daily menu, I hope you get the chance to participate in that 10k, that is SO cool! ;)
 
It looks like if the weather is good for that weekend of the 4th Im doing that 10K...My mom who is just the best offered to come w/ me and watch the kids while I walk it..and I should be done under 2 hrs..so it wont be a long overdrawn deal w/ the kids..its in a beautiful area so there are things they can do..but that will depend on the weather, If its not a good day then Im probably gonna bag it. I can pay the day I get there ..its like $5 more but who cares..its easier on my schedule that way.

I made a great dinner tonight.. I took chic saus and sauteed them w/ garlic, summer squash, onions, fresh basil and 1/2 a jar of spagetti sauce.. then I cooked a spagetti squash and put all of it on top of the squash..It was an absolutely beautiful dish to look at and was very yummy & high fiber & protein. I also used about a 1/4 cup of parm.cheese..just for a little extra flavoring..very very good.

I also did workout today, I went to the dump several times and then my mom & my 8 yr old son & I took our dogs and went for a hike in the rain. I love the rain and I am so pleased to see my son enjoying getting out and exercising too. There are several big hills on this hike and even though we didnt speed thru it I felt a burn and got a sweat going. I also scaled a cliff w/ my son that i normally would have never but there is a huge glacier boulder at the top and of course he wanted to check it out.. I went w/ him and it was almost a climb where you needed to be on your hands and knees for a bit...coming down was tough, but we were like 5 or 6 stories up and it felt like such an accomplishment to not be gasping for breath at the top. I have also not used my inhaler ( ive had asthma since i was 10) for weeks now.... I keep it for emergencys but so far i havent needed it at all.
Anyway.. im really pleased w/ my abilities now.

I also did reps for my arms w/ my 5 lb wts and did 200 crunches.

WOW you had a very productive day. I feel like a couch potato lol. I'm so impressed with you, you have that determined attitude that is just amazing. Keep your focus no matter WHAT ANYONE SAYS!!!!

This is your goal, not your husband's, you will beat this thing.

Thanks michele.. I had my first official tennis lesson w/ a pro today..very very good. It wasnt a miracle and now i can play perfect..but it was helpful and informative. We are going to do a lesson for the next 6 weeks...so i think by the middle of this summer ill be pretty much holding my own..i hope :-D
The instructor was a cutie pie and he had a great sense of humor which made it even better.

B: 1 pkg oatmeal w/ 1 tbsp flax seeds, 1/2 a whole grain blueberry bagel

S: 1 hardboiled egg, 1 cheese stick, 1 40z yogurt

L: salad greens w/ 1 scoop of tuna w/ light mayo, 2 slices of lowfat american ch, about a 1/2 cup of the leftover spagetti sq 2/ sauce from last nite.

S: 1 slimfast protein shake

D: a egg white scramble w/ chic, asparagus. a 4 oz V8, 1/2 a blueberry bagel, 10 almonds w/ 6 milky way bites.

100 oz water

had my tennis lesson and hussled quite a bit in the hr.. so i know this wasnt the usual cal burning match but i think tonight this maybe it for me. I am going to do some reps on my resistant machine.

I know that i had a better swing yesterday and was swinging thru better as my shoulders are sore today :-D good sign...usually its my wrists. The tennis pro looks just like a friend of mines hubby..so it was kinda like hangin out w/ someone i knew..which was very comforting.
I almost took some little skinny blonde chic out on the other court next to us though..i hit a wild one and it almost took her head off..heehee..i nearly peed my pants laughing after.
