Starting Over

More updates:

Off work yesterday due to two sick babies (Bella and H). I am playing catch up today. Also, we spoke to our lawyer this morning and the BIG TRIAL date IS 2/21. Apparently he thinks we are going to win and that it shouldn't take a lengthy trial to do so. The court ordered my SS's mother to file certain paperwork and to find a lawyer by the 11th. She has yet to do any of this. If she fails to do so then she will be found in contempt and the judge will see it as if she's not taking the necessary steps to keep her son. Very good for us! She is still unemployed so I am curious to see what she does with this. Also, a have a gut feeling that part of wants to lose him. This is why:

She has always chosen her own selfish needs over my SS. She gets almost $900/month from us in child support and she and her ex boyfriend (an ex-con who is currently in prison) lived off that money plus welfare for 4 years. They were both unemployed the entire time. She also insists that $900 is not enough for her to care for my 7 year old SS. WTF? My daughter doesn't take that much and we pay $520/month for daycare alone. He's in school ALL DAY and at his grandmother's the rest of the time. This baffles me. Why does an unemployed single woman need her kids to stay at their grandmothers' most of the time? She's not working or looking for a job. On top of the $900 we pay for ALL his clothes, shoes, school supplies, extracurricular activities, etc. He is even covered 100% under our health insurance, vision and dental. We have to pay for all of this too because she doesn't. We picked him one weekend and he was wearing acid washed jeans that were full of holes and covered in stains with a nasty t-shirt. His shoes had holes as well and this was for EASTER! He said those were his best clothes. I immediately took him to the mall and bought an entire wardrobe for the poor kid. We now make sure he has plenty of everything and we have to cut the tags out so she won't return them for a giftcard to spend on herself. She uses his money to buy American Eagle and Eddie Bauer for herself. Sick bitch.

Anyways, she met a man online a few years ago but cut contact when she met the ex. She contacted this man again a few months ago and has been talking to him on the phone. She had never met him in person but had him drive from another state and stay in her home and in HER BED for 9 days during Christmas and New Years. A strange man that could be a pedophile, serial killer, or sicko and she has him under her roof around her two young children. How do you explain this to a 7 year old? She hasn't seen him since New Years but days he's coming back next month. My SS says she's in love and wants to go live with him in the other state. This is why I think she wants to lose her son. With him (and us) out of the picture she could go live with this other guy and live "happily ever after". My SS said that she is excited because this guy gives her money to spend and buys her things. I guess she thinks she doesn't need our $900 each month if this guy will support her sorry ass.

So, sorry for the rant but it looks like we will know if we get him in FIFTEEN DAYS!!!! Woot!!

That is so cool that those were all made out of cans--very clever.

That is great news about SS! I mean, it's terrible that his "mother" is such a fucking moron, and that he's been through so much b/c of her. But it's great that his days with her are hopefully numbered. The countdown begins, eh? Oh, I hope all goes well. I feel so bad for that poor guy. :hug2: Also, it must be horrible for you and Sean to have to see your child go through all that he's been through. :hug2:

Are Sean and Bella feeling better today?

It KILLS me to see him go through this. I wanna strangle the bitch.

Sean still feels bad but Bella is much better today. I woke up to her poking me on the cheek saying "mama mama mama mama" and smiling. Sean had got up and put her in bed with us. :)

First off, that is some major bullshit Sean's ex is putting Wyatt (and you both)through. However, I'll be praying on this end on the 21st that everything will go well for you and Sean. As for The Canstruction Project... they're looking awesome! When everything's said and done, I'd LOVE to see pix of the final project if possible.

Make sure to get tons of water and vitamin C since your babies are ill, ma ma. Can't having you catch a cold or what have you. :hug2: Love yas, beauty.

Thanks for the prayers!

The structures are really looking good. It will be a great exhibit when we are finished decorating. I'll post pics after it's all finished!!

The H and baby have worst than a cold. Bella had a fever and was vomiting and Sean had the pukies and the "other" gross stuff. I hope I don't get it. Bad timing!

hey just skipped over a few of the previous posts...the structures look amazing!!

have you got the pics yet...wanna see them.

have a good weekend

;-)

Hey sexy! I hope you had a good weekend and that everyone is healthy again. :) Did the Canstruction event take place this past weekend?

The Canstruction event is over and the structures will be on display for this week only. We will then take them down and ship them to the food bank.

I am exhausted and trying to catch up on work so I'll post updates later.

Hey I love the structures. Good news about the trial too. From everything you have said it sounds like great news for Wyatt.

No current articles? Pictures? :D

You're a celebrity - show off :D

:D There should be more articles in todays papers and this months' magazine publications. We had two news stations at the event recording live and I had to unfortunately do 2 interviews. I HATE being on camera and the center of attention. I don't get nervous but am uber-critical of myself and what I say. Afterwards I am like "Doh! why did I say that?!" I always say exactly what comes to mind and it gets me into trouble.

The event was fantastic and we raise so much food and money for the foodbank. AND we had a blast with all the kids. I got to announce the winners on saturday morning and hand out the trophies. It was so fun watching these 3rd-8th graders get so excited about a worthy cause. What's even better is the most deserving teams won the trophies. There was a private school that submitted three teams and their kids were so rude and snobby to the others. The adults even acted like juveniles. They let it be publicly known that they were unhappy they did not win. My favorite winner was the 4-H club that got the "Best Meal" trophy. This award goes to the team that utilizes nutritional foods that can be combined as a meal. Most the teams just used cans that had the right colored label. These kids built a giant cereal bowl, a box of cereal, and carton of milk and a spoon with foods from every food group. The best part is that these kids are "high risk" and come from poverty and crime stricken families. Our Kids Arkansas partners with 4-H to help these kids rise above their home environment. Their teacher was awesome and I was so excited to give them a trophy. They were screaming and jumping up and down like crazy. It literally brought tears to my eyes.

The overall winner ended up being the team from the Air Force Base. My husband was their leader so I was super excited to have them win. The judges were random people from the Clinton Foundation and Alltel and they did not know which team did each structure so the judging was completely unbiased. Sean's team won fair and square.

The rest of the events for the day went well and was enjoyed by many. Overall it was a huge success!!

Well that post just brought tears to my eyes. I'm just shocked that this private school group can't see past their own competitiveness. Sheesh.

that's awesome Amy... :) and here you were worried it wouldn't be a success :)

You should be so proud of yourself and the majority of the kids who had the right spirit for the event...

I am very very proud of the kids who participated with the event. They were fantastic and most had the right attitude about it. Me? I'm just exhausted. I took last week off from working out and am thinking taking part of this week as well.

Tomorrow I go in to speak with my doc and for more tests. He called and said he wants to test my adrenals. He thinks I may be suffering from adrenal fatigue as well as the HypoT. I researched it and he may be right. I have been burning the candle at both ends for the past year and maybe this is what has made everything worse. Everyday for the past 16 months I have gotten up at 5am then worked 10 hours to come home and clean, cook, play with baby and then go to the gym for an hour and a half. I never sit and relax and it's has finally worn me down. I feel old and run-down regardless of my age. I'm tired all the time and it's getting worse. Starting in a couple weeks I will be cutting my hours to 30/week and trying to relax a bit. Now that the charity event is almost over, I can have some down time. At least for a few months until Race for the Cure starts again.

That is so cool that everything went so well. Of course I knew it would with you in charge. :D

You sure do need to slow down! You are only human--and humans need rest and relaxation. I'm glad you're cutting your hours back. LIfe's too short to wear yourself ragged. :grouphug:

Take it easy Amy...you deserve to slow down a little. A LOT, actually. And I want you well rested and ready to do some marathon shopping by the time you get up here to see me!!!!!

Life is too short! You definitely need to slow down. I'm sure the 10 hours of working less will make a huge difference. Who wouldn't be run down with a schedule like that!

Thanks all of you!!

I went to the doc yesterday and he believes there are multiple things going wrong right now with my body. My blood tests last week showed vitamin/mineral deficiency due to the low calories so that shows how strict I've been with my diet. He sees me at the gym all the time so he KNOWS how much I work out. He looked at my medical history and current symptoms and believes I am severely hypoT but also things there are multiple other things complicating the thyroid issue. One is adrenal fatigue and possibly estrogen issues.

He called after hours last night to talk more about it. Apparently he is intrigued with my condition. He spoke to several other doctors and specialists and said that the medications I am allergic to are an indication that my body doesn't function normally. My entire life I have been severely allergic to aspirin, ibuprofen, protonix (acid reflux), Nubane (main ingredient in almost all anesthesia), laughing gas at dentist, hydrocodone, morphine, codeine and some anti-itch creams for insect bites. Weird huh?

He started me on T3 and T4 treatment and ordered a whole slew of tests to figure out what's wrong. The T3 should help me feel better and help the weight come off (hopefully). I will not feel completely better until we find out the test results at the end of next week and are able to treat every issue.

This is great and it sucks at the same time. I am so thankful to have a doc truly listen and try to figure out what's wrong but it makes me sick to my stomach to know that there may be many things wrong rather than just the thyroid issue.

Good news is that he said it's amazing that I haven't gained TONS of weight with the super low thyroid and that I apparently have been doing something right with my diet and exercise. Woot!
