Starting Over

The shopping for our little girls is just TOO fun! The clothes are so sweet, and its fun to pick the style you want them to go with.

I am absolutely LOVING the peep toe shoes, they are so sexy IMHO. I also wear between 2 and 3 inches, anything else and I'm having a shitty night and I never wear them again. I have to be comfortable while still looking decent. 2 1/2 feels the best to me.

As for the nails, I get a tranculent white, it looks really clean but not fake or overdone. I personally also dont like fake nails or wraps on nails, that's not really my style.

Same here. I have to have comfortable shoes on or I have a bad night. I have super high arches so I can't wear super high heels.

I may try the translucent white, it sounds like I may like it. I like to keep things simple and natural looking. My eye makeup will be dark and smoky but everything else pretty simple. I hate it when women think they have to wear 3 inches of makeup to look good. It makes them look more like a clown than anything.

I just went dress shopping during my lunch break. HUGE MISTAKE! I now know what styles DON"T look good on my somewhat larger ass. I REALLY don't want to go to the ball now. :(

I'm gonna keep looking at some other stores to see if they have anything better. "Um, miss, do you have this flowy black dress in a size "fatass"? Great, I'll take that one! I may end up just wearing a pantsuit. Grrrr!

hehe.

i get frustrated dress shopping too, i find styles that hug under the boobs/high waist are VERY flattering, and often nice on butts too :)

hope you find something pretty

Thanks Faye. I found some cute styles at Belk today on my lunch break. Sean and I are going back tonight so I can try them on.

Back in the day before the pregnancy when I was slim i would have worn something tight and revealing. I would have been WORKING IT! Lol! If I work it now I may knock someone down!! :rotflmao:

Bah...you better stop with the "fatass" comments, girl. I'll send that Cat-X bitch on you. LOL!!! Anyways.... since you're on the curvy side, have you tried something in a mermaid cut? It shows off your curves and personally speaking, it's a lot sexier than most gown styles. If you're not into showing off your curves, try looking for an A-line gown.... it'll fall nicely over your hips if you're a bit self conscious. I think you should rock a mermaid gown, because you're wicked hot. Yup yup.

Ohhhh your pregnant ! i must of missed that in your diary hehe

Well i hope you find something you like tonight

That came out the wrong way. I had a baby a year ago. My pregnancy messed up my thyroid and I have a hard time getting the weight off. It's coming off now though!

I was watching tim gunn's new show the other night, and he takes his victim to some fancy schmancy designer show room where they try on all sorts of dresses.. and the designer made the comment that you can have the most beautiful dress but if it doesn't look right on the person, it's the fault of the dress... it's not your fault and you don't have a fat ass - give us a break cookie...

you just haven't found the right dress.. not all styles look good on all people... you will find the right style... keep going :D

Haha! I'm over my pissy mood now. TOM is here so I should have never tried dresses on til I was over it.

I am super curvy so I want something to accentuate that. My arms are the problem. They are toned but large due to the extra weight. I may wear a shawl. I can't seem to find one with long sleeves that doesn't look like a moo moo. Ha!

I am starting to look forward to the ball now. The tickets were $50 each so it better be good. It's an open bar!! We are going bar hopping afterwards in our formal wear with our friends. Fun!!!We haven't gone bar hopping like this since before the pregnancy so I'm drinking damnit!

hehe yeah i back-tracked further and found out that you'd had the baby a year ago-ish hehe.

how is your little girl doing?

She's rocking and rolling. Literally. She is starting to walk a little and bumps into things and falls alot. Her birthday is in two weeks so I am busy planning the biggest 1st birthday bash ever. Lol! My husband says I am going way overboard but my baby only has one 1st birthday. Right?

I may wear a shawl.
a shawl might work but I know I'd be fussing with it all night...

See if you can find a bolero type jacket - least i think that's what they're called (i'm fashion challenged) little jackets that basically cover your shoulders and upper arms.... sometimes sequined or nice lacey...

figure the ball room will probably be dark so wobbles that show up in the glare of a dressing room, will magically disappear in the ballroom - you want to be comfortable in what you're wearing...

You know, I haven't thought of the little jacket thing. That's a great idea. Thanks Mal!

Geez I hope it's dark! Maybe I can cop a feel on my husband under the table. :DHe's gonna be looking smoking hot is his fancy uniform.

men in uniform are totally hot... especially men in dress uniforms... marines have the hottest dress uniform though - :) but a uniform is a uniform.. cop a feel on the dance floor too - and I want plenty of pictures of the beefcakes :)

I'll have to agree. The Marines niform is pretty hot. My husband will never know this though. :)

I'll definitely have my camers with me for pics. Poor Sean is probably going to get sexually assaulted by me in that damn uniform. The last time I saw him in it was on our wedding day. You can pretty much fill in the blanks. ;)

I so feel for you with this dress shopping and I can relate to your wishing you looked like you did pre-baby. Remember, Angeline is 5 months older than Annabelle, so I'm several months ahead of you in the WL game and looking back on the hard times and how out of place I felt being so different than what I was used to (looking sexy and getting the looks to prove it). The fact is that you're still going to look pretty in the dress, regardless of your curviness. We must keep that in mind, though its very very hard in this society. But come on, we cant be having shitty nights or not wanting to go because we dont look as slim as we would like. OK OK, I'm guilty as charged, I was doing the same thing but it pains me to hear you feeling this way about yourself. Anyway, sounds like you perked up in the end and I'm glad. Sheesh, I get busy for one day and all types of drama is going on round here ! ha ha

i saw in MGB's diary you bought a dress woooo.

You'll have to post some pics girlie, i love seeing pretty dresses.

Have a great day !

Hahahahaha!!!

SYDNEY (Reuters) - It was a stick up of a different kind for one Australian burglar, who broke into a neighbor's house and played sex games in the bathroom with a bottle of toilet detergent and a vacuum cleaner.

A court in the northern city of Brisbane heard how 27 year old Jamie Lacey, high on drugs, broke into the house in September 2004, scattering pornographic magazines around the bathroom and making a sex toy from a bottle of detergent, a piece of wood and a rubber glove, the Brisbane Times reported.

Lacey was arrested in December 2006 after police matched DNA his DNA to that on the rubber glove, according to the Australian Associated Press.

A vacuum cleaner was also found in the bathroom, but the judge dismissed a defense submission that there was no proof the vacuum has been used for sexual purposes.

"I'm sure that your client didn't hoover the carpets," the newspaper and AAP quoted judge Tony Rafter as saying.

Lacey was sentenced to 12 months community service, with judge declining to send him to jail since he had held a steady job for two years and was now a father.

My only question is what he did with the piece of wood.:rofl:
