Starting Over

OOOH I'm so in :)

I'll call and scold him :)

I can understand him wanting a special christmas for his kid... but ask the kid what he wants... I'd be willig to bet it's just some family time ad some dad love and attention..

Wyatt asked for us to do some baking together (he loves baking with me), make gingerbread houses, watch christmas movies and drink hot chocolate. That's all. I may make my H stay up all night on friday doing the stuff on my list if he wants it so damn perfect. I am tired.

I am at a weird stage of my life when it comes to Christmas. We have had family Christmases at my mom's house for my entire life, but she's 75 and my step dad is 80. We've taken on a lot of the responsibility, but this summer my sister and I actually discussed that these Christmases are probably not going to last forever nor will my mom. Nobody loved their toys more than I did when I was little and my mom is an outstanding cook who goes all out for the holidays, but the thing that means the most to me is the family time together. When I think back to being little and far greedier that was still the part I loved best. I am sure that Wyatt will feel the same way.

Well I know how it goes with not even beginning to get anything accomplished until after 8pm, baby bedtime. Actually I try to get the cleaning done while the poor kid is running around playing, but you can't do the deep cleaning nor can you get on the computer, unless you want little fingers clipping the key board every few seconds.

I agree about SS though, he's going to have a wonderful memorable time regardless of his gifts :).

Girl, try not to get too stressed. Sean seems to be being a bit unreasonable in his expectations--especially since he's going to be gone all week, leaving you to do everything by yourself.

Remember to take a little time out for yourself this week after Bella's in bed--some hot chocolate and peppermint schnapps or something in the dark with some candles. Even if it's just 10min to relax at night. You deserve it!!

Hey Girlfriend,
I love the CARD!! It was Gorgeous!! Your are so so sweet for thinking of me during this time of year. I Thank you from the top of my heart and wish you and yours a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

I probably won't get cards out until after Christmas, but believe me, you will be getting something back. HEHEHE

Chow sweetness!
Kim

Thanks for all the Christmas wishes!!

I have been super busy lately and unable to keep updates. Christmas was wonderful and the SS really loved it. He bawled and didn't want to go home. He was so upset he threw up in the McDonald's parking lot. :( We DID hire a good lawyer this week and will be proceeding with the custody hearing next week. He thinks we have an excellent chance of winning. We really got burnt by our last lawyer and should already have custody. He was too busy trying to stay buddies with the judge to rock any boats. This new guy has been doing this for 28 years and has a low case load. He said he would devote his time and energy into helping us. Also because he has prosecuted the criminal boyfriend numerous times and is very familiar with his record. I am hoping and praying we get him this time.

I ate maintenance the past 3 weeks and did actually "take off" although I had originally planned to stay on my eating plan. I immediately went back to my routine on the 26th of 1500 calories a day. I got sick last night when I got home so I didn't get to the gym. I drank a can of V8 that was apparently bad. I spent all of last night puking my brains out and spending "time" in the bathroom. Not too pleasant. I do feel fine today and plan to get to the gym after work. I really need to stick to posting my daily accomplishments on here. I keep a log on fitday and a personal calendar but need to do it here also for motivation.

Hey Amy, I've been wondering how you've been doing :). Figured you were busy with the family and SS. I'm so very glad that you found a good lawyer, he does sound very promising and it sounds like you certainly should win on the "best interests of the child" analysis. Of course it can't hurt that SS prefers staying with you. Hopefully he'll feel free to tell the judge that. Of course bitch mom views him as her meal ticket so she'll fight this as best she can.

How did you do eating at maintenance? Stay the same weight, a slight gain? How many calories is maintenance for you these days.

I was just thinking how I need to be really consistent for the next straight month and give this a better shot, maybe by posting my food on here also.

Hey Sweet Thang!! happy your back and going at it again. Sorry you got sick the other night, throwing up is the worst thing ever! But if you want to put a positive swing on it, you can say you worked out your stomach muslces and that's no lie! LOL LOL

Good Luck with the new lawyer, sounds like you two have a fighting chance this time around, and I'm so happy for you!! SS really needs to be in a better place and what better place then a fabulous loving home like yours, he is certainly the lucky one!

Hope your weekend slows down a bit and your able to get a little RR in for yourself, you have been so busy, you just need YOU TIME!

Take care and have a good rest of your day!

I just got back from the gym and actually lost 1/2 lb over the holiday. I guess my maintenance is now higher from all the refeed periods lately. I have been consuming about 2300-2600 daily for the past week and a half and still worked out last week. I guess my metabolism just needed to be restarted.

I think we'll win this time. I have a gut feeling about it. Plus, we are about to prove that she has purposely put him in harm's way by taking him around the ex-boyfriend regardless of the protection order. We will have this proof within the next couple of weeks. The we can file an ECO (emergency custody order) and have him removed immediately.

Thanks Kimmers! I do plan to have some "me time" this weekend. A glass of wine and a hot bath in my jetted tub is definitely in order.

Beautiful pics Amy. You're so pretty :).

Thanks Claud! My face looks so chubby in those pics but a HUGE improvement from where I was a year ago.

I am obviously very biased and proud of my kids. I just can't help showing off my little angels.

I got a HR monitor for Christmas (I had been using a borrowed one from the base gym) and we had to go exchange it for a different one yesterday. Why make a HR monitor that doesn't actively monitor your calories burned, you have to stop and rest your finger on a button for 8-10 seconds. WTH? I needed one that monitors my HR throughout my workout and beeps when it's too high and too low and counts calories the entire time. The one I exchanged it for is awesome and I am dying to try it out.

I am maintaining 1500-1700 calories a day again and I worked out on Friday at the gym for an hour then came home and cleaned house (deep cleaning) for two more hours. I burned 600 calories at the gym and guess about 200 with the cleaning.

I just finished my breakfast of one fried egg (in Pam) and a whole grain english muffin (240 calories) and am drinking a huge mug of coffee with cream and 2 teaspoons of sugar (100 calories). I am about to shower off then head to the gym with my new HR monitor and see how many calories I can torch. The H is watching the baby and says he will start cleaning the house while I'm gone. He definitely deserves a little "mommy and daddy time" later today. Hmmm, how many calories will I burn then? He has suggested I wear the new monitor. Lol!

Gotta go!

HAPPY NEW YEAR my RAY OF SUNSHINE!! I am so very happy we met this year, and I hope 2008 brings the best for you and your family. Amy have a WONDERFUL NEW YEARS and god bless you and your family!

We are going to KICK BUTT in 2008. YOU GO GIRL!!!
LOVE YA LOTS
Kim

That is great about the new lawyer. I hope he delivers. An emergency custody order would be fantastic--I hope it happens soon. What kind of timeframe did the lawyer give you for this? That is so sad they he threw up in the parking lot. Hopefully things will greatly improve for the dear little thing soon. At least you all had a great Christmas together!

Are you going to join my challenge? Sign ups are in the challenge section--Biggest Loser style challenge. When I last checked, there were 12 spots left.

Hey Girlie!! I hope we both get into the Challenge on time!! I'm ready to rock it out!!

I've been really lucky not to put any weight on, but I know if I don't push it in gear it will find me. I hope you had a great New Years!!
