Starting Over

Oh Amy that is ROUGH! I really hope you two get custody, or at least partial. Good thing you have Cita for advice, too! Your daughter is beautiful :) and I love her curls! Have a good day :D

Awe, you look cute!

I'm just popping in over here, because I commented to you min Ms Lady Bug's diary.

My sis lives on an AF base in FL. Where are you guys at - if you don't want to post in here, you can PM me.

Thanks CG!

Sweetpea, we are in Little Rock, AR. We don't live on base though. I prefer to have a little more privacy.

Definitely back on track this week. I had a bit of a relapse last week with the hernia thing. It started hurting again so I took it easy until today. So, three weeks off from strict working out and eating at maintenance. This week I am back to 1500 calories a day and will be at the gym tonight, thursday and saturday and will be running those nights and friday also. So 3 days of weight and cardio and an additional day of running. I may run five days this week if I have the time. I will be weighing this friday so I'll have a ticker update then!

Hang in there with the judge. I swear I've heard so many horror stories about exes in the past year, it makes me kind of happy to be single. You look great and with all that working out--no wonder. It sure makes a difference, I don't know why it took me so long to figure that out.

Thanks Joe. We should have another lwyer soon so we can nail that bitch's ass to the ground.

Thanks for the compliment. The working out has definitely taken off the inches. Just gotta get the bodyfat down!

Every state has different laws and guidelines and such, but in new jersey, where my father is an attorney, he will often get assigned pro bono cases to act as a child advocate -where he's the child's lawyer and basically acts in their best interest when the parents have difficulty coming to an agreement as to what is best for the child.

you might want to check to see if that option is avaiable to the child...

I think it's called a guardian ad litem in Ohio. I am currently looking for one right now. It will cost just as much for one of these as it will a lawyer for us. We have a child psychologist that we will be taking him to next month. This child has had to watch his mother and her boyfriend beat the hell out of each other for years and has been made to lie about it. It will take a little while for the psychologist to get him to open up. He opened up to us but got in big trouble by his mother when child services called about the abuse. They fucking called to SCHEDULE an appointment to discuss the alleged abuse. Fucking idiots. Of course she made him lie about what he saw. Now he stutters horribly AND has a speech impediment that keeps him from pronouncing words correctly. He's extremely smart but his motor functions are behind. Sean and I have already spent so much time and money trying to get this poor child out of that house. He was deploying alot until the past few years so the courts wouldn't even consider giving him custody because of the instability. We are in the position now to win this case. Money is the determining factor rightnow. We should have it within the next two months.

thanks for the help Mal!

Just got back from the gym. I've had 1750 calories today and had burned 653 calories by the time I turned my HR monitor off. Which means I was still burning for awhile after that. I am so tired. Sean bathed the baby and put her to bed while I was at the gym so I get to take a long, hot shower and got to bed! Talk to you all tomorrow!

I got on the scale at the gym last night and it's a little bit higher than the one at home. Since this one is probably more accurate, I will going with it's reading. This puts me at 169.5. Boohiss!

THIS breaks my heart  I am waiting patiently to hear that you and your husband get custody!!!

Don't worry too much about the weight, you're doing great, it'll come off in no time! Have a great day!

but unless you've always been weighing on that scale -it's not a good judge of how you've been doing.. your weight is only a number - every scale will give you a different number... it's beenmoving in the right direction and those are the right results... as well as measurements shifting...

Thanks CG! We need all the support we can get right now.

You're right. I just hate my scale at home because it's not digital. I keep meaning to go buy one. I'm trying to not look at the numner, just the progress. Thanks Mal.

Rock Star!!

I just managed to get the most awesome location donated for the big "Canstruction" charity event I am doing. This thing is going too be HUGE and we will raise TONS of food for the AR Foodbank and the Hunger Alliance. Woot!

That is so wonderful! Good for you, how awesome :D

Thanks CG. I haven't been posting any progress lately. I am super busy with this event and work that I just don't feel like it. I do enjoy visiting other diaries and checking out everyone's progress though.

I am still maintaining 1500 calories a day and working out as usual. Same 'ol same 'ol! My scale met a very horrible fate with my hammer so I don't know if I've lost anything. I now weigh in once a month at the gym on base for consistency.

Sean is in Atlanta for his job this week so it's even more hectic at home with my daughter. She's walking/running now and is going through a clingy phase. I can't leave the room without her on my hip or she'll throw a fit. I think we read "Goodnight Moon" at least 10 times last night! She is nuts about books and is comstantly bringing them to me then sitting in my lap so I'll read it. Too damn cute!

good for kids to have the reading bug now -hopefully it will never leave her... well done mom for encouraging her to read too...

Thanks Mal. Sean and I both are BIG book nerds. We don't watch much tv and try to encourage our kids to read as much as possible, especially Wyatt. On weekends we plan hiking trips and will take the camera for pics of different plants, trees and wildlife. When we get home we look them up in books or on the computer to find out what they are. We are big nerds like that.
